If he can find a job in the US. It's not easy getting a position as a prof.

It isn't? How would you know? As it stands, he already has a job in Virginia.

Canada's loss. Sad that Canada's health care system kicks people like him out, preventing them from becoming citizens - productive, as they are. That's one way to keep health care costs down - but doesn't really say much for immigration policy in such a 'culturally diverse, tolerant' country.

It's an unneccessary and silly blunder. But since the family's ok, then that's the main thing.

It's an unneccessary and silly blunder. But since the family's ok, then that's the main thing.

It's not a "blunder," it's Canadian immigration policy - and this family is not the first to be affected by it.
