WWWTT Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Nonsense.....maybe you are including the Iraqi's killed by Saddam ? Bush and Cheney can go to Canada whenever they please, and the ICC protesters can cry their eyes out. Then why do you live in Canada ? As for your first comment, it looks like 1 million was a bit of an exaggeration I first heard. The actual number is not clear, but it looks closer to just about 500 000. http://ri.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEV7vWizxT_SoAxy4XFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTBybnV2cXQwBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--/RV=2/RE=1396505687/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fen.wikipedia.org%2fwiki%2fCasualties_of_the_Iraq_War/RK=0/RS=DUGqUUtYsS5u3LDYGgjvP8caMz8- I'm sure the dynamic duo can travel pretty much anywhere, but I'm sure they're very discrete about it. And for the last comment, you think I'm going to move because of Harper????? And what makes you think I live full time in Canada? WWWTT Quote Maple Leaf Web is now worth $720.00! I'm sure the dynamic duo can travel pretty much anywhere, but I'm sure they're very discrete about it. And for the last comment, you think I'm going to move because of Harper????? And what makes you think I live full time in Canada? Not so discrete....President Bush traveled with President Obama and Sec'y Clinton to South Africa. No arrests for the ICC...what a surprise. I'm fully aware that you believe that the number of Iraqi's dying as a result of the US invasion (directly and/or indirectly) is so small that you can dismiss it easily. That is clear, but there are other members who read our comments and I provided the link for their benefit, not to irritate you! And yes I was fully aware that Bush paid his respects to Mandela, courtesy air force one and millions spent on security. I'm sure there was some kind of diplomatic immunity there as well. President Bush and VP Cheney will never be arrested for circus trials by the ICC. Neither will PMs Chretien, Martin, Blair or Chirac for their so called "war crimes". Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Neither will PMs Chretien, Martin, Blair or Chirac for their so called "war crimes". Except Bush and Cheney did commit war crimes, according to the UN and the ICC. I'd pick a better handle in future. On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 The UN and the ICC ? May as well be the Easter Bunny. Good luck with that. Is that why bush and cheney stick so close to home these days, they are afraid of the Easter bunny? Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Is that why bush and cheney stick so close to home these days, they are afraid of the Easter bunny? Bush and Cheney have been to Canada...no arrests for the ICC. Canada is in violation of the ICC treaty. Must sterilize....violation....imperfect...must sterilize. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Bush and Cheney have been to Canada...no arrests for the ICC. Canada is in violation of the ICC treaty. Must sterilize....violation....imperfect...must sterilize. I must correct you again: Canada is a signatory in good standing to the ICC as well as the UN. We are neighbourly but in theory if either one of those war criminals set foot on Canadian soil and RCMP oifficer could slap the cuffs on them I wouldn't be all that proud of that. Quote

We are neighbourly but in theory if either one of those war criminals set foot on Canadian soil and RCMP oifficer could slap the cuffs on them I wouldn't be all that proud of that. That's what I said...Canada violated the treaty by not arresting Cheney or Bush (or Clinton, or Blair, or Chretien). Canada is in violation...violation...violation. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 That's what I said...Canada violated the treaty by not arresting Cheney or Bush (or Clinton, or Blair, or Chretien). Canada is in violation...violation...violation. Only bush and cheney have been warranted. Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Only bush and cheney have been warranted. OK, then why didn't Canada comply with treaty requirements ? Violation !! Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 OK, then why didn't Canada comply with treaty requirements ? Violation !! The people in question were out of power and no longer threat to the world. Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 The people in question were out of power and no longer threat to the world. That doesn't make any sense....if there were warrants, then arrest them. ICC treaty VIOLATION !! Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 That doesn't make any sense....if there were warrants, then arrest them. ICC treaty VIOLATION !! I wish they would. Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 I wish they would. This is very upsetting....Canada is letting alleged "war criminals" to come and go as they please. Shocking treaty violations. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 The US is not any longer a signatory to the ICC. Bush unsigned it in 2002. I guess he was a bit scared. Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 I'm glad to hear you finally realize just how shocking it is. The U.S. never ratified the ICC Treaty, so not shocking at all. Canada did ratify the treaty, but doesn't have the guts to do anything about it. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah we do, don't you remember Jean Chretien thumbing his nose at Bush? No, but I do remember PM Martin begging Bush for contracts in Iraq. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 I think they call that "selective memory" Look it up. Chretien took his cue from the Un who decided the Iraq war was not legal so he said "NO" Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Chretien said yes to NATO's "illegal" war in 1999, so he obviously didn't care about the UN. Canadian military personnel participated in the Invasion of Iraq anyway. Chretien sat on the fence until he needed health care in the USA. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 He sat on no fence my friend. He just said NO. Quote
