The probalem with the Burkina Faso is that,while claiming to be independent,wants coloial "closeness with it's French benefactors...It keeps the status quo the same through tribal influence... You can find lots of lefty sympathy here--you'll even get some union sympathy from Jack, plus his willingness to critique rapacious Western power when he thinks it deserved--which is often. But citing the Chinese? Please. Even given that there are good things about China--it's not some font of pure evil, after all--I can't understand your defense. At least the old lefty comrades had the excuse of ignorance, when China was "The ChiComs." But it's now morphed into a weird hybrid, a right-wing authoritarian state as much as a left-wing one. Also, capitalism isn't "evil." It can produce evil, if not regulated and carefully watched.
