We've gone far afield here, and I may be guilty in part for the thread drift.

I'm all for it if it helps to give a clear distinction separating the two. IE. NOT, North American Union.

He probably thinks he does.

In either case, on the one hand I'm okay with the idea of institutions that blur national borders in principle - at some point the human species will want to eliminate inefficiencies and begin merging our governments into one global government. Having it all in one place for example would make it easier for us to keep an eye on.

On the other hand, I'm pretty certain moves like this probably only serve to widen the gap between the top 1% and everyone else. In that regard Harper probably knows exactly what he's doing. If only we could know the half of it.

The NSA has monitored Canadians (and we return the favour) for some time……..And the FBI has representatives at the American embassy and consulates and works in concert with the RCMP.

Canada is Canada, U.S is U.S, having both countries police officers crossing the border is a violating of sovereignty and should the conservatives go through with this they will sign their death warrant come next election

what the hell do you think cross border policing is? basically both countries will train teams that are authorized to cross the border..they will extract suspected terrorists, people in drug organizations...but you know how this can and will be abused
