bush_cheney2004 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Of course you did. You act like your attitude represents that of all Americans. You and your compatriot do it all the time. But you do it more. No...I am very careful to point out that there are 312,000,000 Americans, but only 34,000,000 Canadians! Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

But thanks for the laugh just the same. Have a great night. Hope that mortgage rate doesn't go up...... Quote
dre Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Sure they don't...that why this "Canadian" forum has dedicated areas for United States Politics and Canada / US Relations. So what's on TV tonight? Yeah dude, but places like this are for the tiny minority of Canadians that spend a lot of time discussing politics and news on the internet. Of course theres going to be a section on the US. The funny thing is you have an obsession with Canadians based on a caricature that you have from reading posts on a website Like I said... Unless I watch the news or participate in a discussion about the news, you just dont come up in conversation very often. Quote I question things because I am human. pinko Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I don't understand why Bush-Cheney and American Woman are so defensive about the predicament their country finds itself in. As one of the world's premiere economies it is only natural for others to be concerned about the road currently being followed by the country to the south of us. Probably because we aren't defensive. Not accepting the doom and gloom 'proof that our system doesn't work' scenario, especially based on history, and pointing it out, is not being "defensive." Perhaps you think that every time someone counters what they see as not the way it is, they are being defensive? That would certainly give new meaning to the word. In other words, if I say 'Canada is on the verge of decline because of the situation in the U.S. and Canada's dependency on the U.S., which is proof that Canada's system does not work, so Canadians should be very afraid' - and you said 'that's not true' - your reaction would be oh "so defensive?" Or would it simply be refuting what was said? And do you understand the difference? Quote
