Manitobers are so.... sensitive.

Only concerned about why you need to borrow money.

Tell me about it! They receive billions of dollars in transfer payments from productive provinces, yet they're still running a deficit.

That right there is Classic Shady.

Manitoba's on provincial welfare, and has been for quite a while. Even during strong economic times. Get a GD job already!

You and I both know that isn't how equalization works. It isn't "hey give me some money" it is a federal transfer based on GDP by population which helps make sure things like Education, Health and other areas of Federal concern are not vastly better in one province compared to another. This makes it so our whole country is capable of producing the smartest and most trained people in the world. That way when a province like is having a skilled trades person shortage they can tap a province like Newfoundland to get those people so their economy keeps growing, thus the countries economy grows.

Don't act like it is welfare. It is good economics that makes us all richer so of course you would hate it.

I'm sick of supporting your sorry asses!

Manitoba is going to be a major exporter of hydroelectric power in 10 years (the dams are being built now). Manufacturing in Ontario is going to suffer miserably as the Canadian dollar stays well above parity.

This means that you will be forced to change your Internet persona from shame and humiliation.

Probably being built with my money. Oh well, 10 years you say? *Yawn*

Maybe your sorry province can pay back some of the money you've taken over the last several decades.

Probably being built with my money. Oh

I seriously doubt you have any money.

Oh, I have money. But who know's how much of our money which includes some of my money, your province has sucked up over the years. You should probably be nicer to people like me. We pay your way. :)

You do realize Ontario is a have-not province, don't you?

Professor Yankee Doodle Wannabe probably thinks Ontario is another US state...

Is Ontario considered Northern Minnesota, N. Michigan, or N. New York?

....Oh no! Those are all "blue states"! :)

Not after 2012! :)

So you're waiting 15 months before applying for citizenship?

It'll still be fundamentally the same country, Shady: a loony-bin of rampant leftism, liberal media, and socialist nanny-state evil. Canada South.

Poor Shady, I'll be having my say in 2012 and he wont even get a vote.

Have-not? Yeah, have not all of our money because of leeches like Manitoba.

Yep. You officially became a "leech" in 2009.

http://www.thestar.com/news/ontario/article/611924

You also have no plan to get out of that hole again, now that your major industry, manufacturing, is in the toilet indefinitely (what's the dollar at today?). Hydroelectric power, however, is sustainable and lucrative and in abundance here. Once Wuskwatim and Conawapa and Gull and Gillam Island dams and Bipole III are finished, there will be an additional 5000 MW of power being generated. We're right behind Saskatchewan and Newfoundland in exiting have-not land for good.

But you can't have a light without a dark to stick it in, and you can't have a nation of "haves." The model doesn't work that way. Therefore Ontario Is unlikely to be a have province again in our lifetime.

And meanwhile, Ontario is desperate for Manitoba to sell some of that good sustainable power to them, but they don't pay as much as the Americans. They think that because we're provincial neighbours, they should get a better deal.
