Topaz Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I just received in the mail about doing the 2011 census online(no thank you) or by phone for the paper version, has anyone else received one? Quote
GostHacked Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 It's the LAW to fill it out. Does not the government already have all our information through various depts and stuff like income tax forms and licenses?? (Like my drivers licence) .... And apparently in the spot for Religion ... Jedi is used a lot. Quote
bjre Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Now, you can be a criminal when you don't do anything harm to anyone else. This is the human right situation in Canada. Quote "The more laws, the less freedom" -- bjre "There are so many laws that nearly everybody breaks some, even when you just stay at home do nothing, the only question left is how thugs can use laws to attack you" -- bjre "If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson
Hydraboss Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Wait till they read mine. "Knowingly falsifying government documents" anyone? Scotty Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I just received in the mail about doing the 2011 census online(no thank you) or by phone for the paper version, has anyone else received one? Did mine online today. It probably took less than a minute. Odd thing was the guy next to me was mailing his back because he wasn't given that option. He had a paper copy to fill out and mail. Wonder why. Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy
Smallc Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Wait till they read mine. "Knowingly falsifying government documents" anyone? They can't do much if I didn't clearly understand the questions now can they. I have a question. Why? What's the big deal? Just fill the thing out. Quote
ToadBrother Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I have a question. Why? What's the big deal? Just fill the thing out. The only thing more annoying than an anti-census kook is a UFO conspiracy theorist anti-census kook. Quote
Sandy MacNab Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I have a question. Why? What's the big deal? Just fill the thing out. Paranoia. Quote
RNG Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I did mine on line. They wanted the number in the household, age and sex. Then they asked about three or four different ways if it was a same-sex relationship or not. I got a kick out of that. Mine didn't ask about religion at all. So I guess there are still different versions. Quote The government can't give anything to anyone without having first taken it from someone else.
nittanylionstorm07 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I have a question. Why? What's the big deal? Just fill the thing out. Same thing happened in the US last year. People of his ilk were blaming Obama for making them "fill out this damn census thing". Sigh. Quote
fellowtraveller Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I threw mine away. Because I am a responsible citizen, I threw it away into the recycling bin. Quote The government should do something.
Smallc Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I threw mine away. Because I am a responsible citizen, I threw it away into the recycling bin. Again, why? Quote
Sandy MacNab Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Again, why? He makes poor judgements. He thinks he's a "responsible" citizen, too. Quote

cybercoma Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Falsifying information and not filling out the census, great idea guys. The government doesn't actually need to know anything about the people in the country when they're making social policy. Quote

Bryan Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I got mine in the mail yesterday, and I immediately did what I always do with the census: I shredded it. The important information that they need is already part of government records in multiple places, I'm not going to participate in this exercise in redundancy. Quote
