Topaz Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Frank Graves, pollster for EKCO Research, had Harper well ahead of the polls, but Harper doesn't believe him and Graves is saying he hasn't ever falsified the results. Maybe Harper's war room has its people visit political forums and reading how a percentage of voters really feel about this government. I know that were unemployment is high and the average age of the unemployed is over 50, the F-word is always used before McGuinty's and Harper's name. I firmly believe Harper is going to lose members in Ontario. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/pollster-hits-back-at-paranoid-conservatives/article1905903/ Quote

Scotty Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Frank Graves, pollster for EKCO Research, This would be the same Frank Graves who was in the news last year advising the Liberal Party to create a "culture war" against the Conservatives, and implying that portraying the Tories as racists and homophobes would result in more votes? Quote It is an inverted moral calculus that tries to persuade the world to demonize one state that tries its civilized best to abide in a difficult time and place, and rides merrily by the examples and practices of dozens of states and leaderships that drop into brutality every day without a twinge of regret or a whisper of condemnation. - Rex Murphy

The same one who gave some 11000 dollars to the Liberal party over the years yes. Quote
scribblet Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Why is it paranoid to be cautious about polling numbers, sounds reasonable to ask members not to be too hasty in thinking about an election based on one poll. Seems his knickers are in a knot over something more LOL Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
madmax Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 You're posting alot more Scribbs. Election coming soon? Quote

Keepitsimple Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 I've always chuckled at the statements that polls are right within +/- 3% (or thereabouts) 19 out of 20 times. Quote Back to Basics

kimmy Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I don't blame Harper for being skeptical of an uncharacteristically positive poll. -K Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
Smallc Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Neither do I. In fact, I'm not quite sure why anyone would. Quote
Smallc Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 why is that funny? Excellent question, 20 times out of 20. Quote
madmax Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I don't blame Harper for being skeptical of an uncharacteristically positive poll. -K Conservatives have been in this range Before as have Liberals been in this range Before. All other polls rolling in now are supporting Ekos numbers on the Cons and Libs. Tories are within Majority. Quote
