True story: Years ago, I took my main squeeze on a different kind of date at the gun range and she blew through an entire box of 9mm Parabellums with glee. This was at the height of Miami Vice mania. Anyway, some guy shows up in the next booth and began shooting a hot loaded .44 magnum that scared the hell out her. The muzzle flash could be seen past the separation barrier. We never went to the range again. Frick! I know what you mean. The thing sounds like a T-Rex and it's definitely a two-handed weapon when overloaded. The criss-cross pattern on the trigger tattooed itself onto my index finger the first few times I fired one. Re: 9mm and ammo. My favorite is the Browning Hi-Power. Comfy, but boy do you go through the shells. Luckily my bud has a reloader. Oddly...or not...I detest shooting the Walther PPK.
