Shady Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Some new information regarding Chris Coons has recently been made available. Yes, the Chris Coons currently running for senate in the state of Delaware. "Serving in the United States Senate would be a "great way for me to apply the principles and values that were honed at YDS." --Delaware Democrat and U.S. Senate nominee Chris Coons, to the Yale Divinity School Notes from the Quad, September, 2010 Which begs the question: What kind of values are taught in Yale Divinity School courses? Yale Divinity School Courses and Required ReadingWitchcraft and Witch Hunting: Specifically listed as REL 717. Queer Worship. You read that right. The formal name for this course is REL 786. Feminist/Womanist/Gendered Theologies:This course is listed as REL 749. Introduction to Christian Ethics II: Yet another opportunity here in REL 715. Link So if you're keeping score at home. Coons - Self-described marxist. Coons - Courses in witchcraft, Chrisitan Ethics, and queer worship (whatever that is) while attending Yale Divinity School. And it's from this school that he'd like to apply the principles and values he learned there, in the senate in Washington, D.C. On the other hand, Christine O'Donnell wants to apply the principles and values of the constitution in the senate in Washington, D.C. And O'Donnell is portrayed as the crazy out-of-touch one? Puuuuulease. Quote
BubberMiley Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) It took over a week for the super-google search to turn up "Coons" and "witchcraft" in the same document? Too little, too late, I think. Edited September 27, 2010 by BubberMiley Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet

Puuuuulease. I don't know...Perhaps he's also a lunatic... I find it odd that "Marxist" would be in Divinity School, learning about Christian Ethics...Not the most congruent of subjects...The antithesis,frankly.... I have no idea what "Queer Worship" is???....Again,it seems to be the antithesis of anything to do with God... I can see a course in Witchcraft in a Divinity school...Not to turn people onto Witchcraft, but to inform...Which is quite different from taking part in Witchcraft ceremonies...Which O'Donnell admitted to,then tried to brush it off as some adolescent foolishness... Nevermind the fact that no one seems to have gotten to the bottom of O'Donnell's financial shenanigans yet,either... Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!

He was being sarcastic when he made the marxist comment. But anybody who goes to sky-god school must have a screw loose, true. punked Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 What I get from this is Coons is a Yale educated candidate while it took his opponent 21 years to get he undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Hmmmmm is that the point Shady is making because that what it seems. Quote
Bitsy Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I actually think Coons holds 3 degrees Quote
BubberMiley Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I wonder if attacking him because he attended Yale Divinity School is scandalous enough to work. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
punked Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 It might be we will see if Shady's "He is really really smart" play is a good one. Something makes me think it isn't. Quote
RNG Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) Is Coons the one running against O'Donnell? If he is, then as flaky as he may be, he is a shoe-in. I only bring this up because the OP had witchcraft in it and O'Donnell was the only witchcraft reference lately. Because she is batshit crazy. bloodyminded Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I find it odd that "Marxist" would be in Divinity School, learning about Christian Ethics...Not the most congruent of subjects...The antithesis,frankly.... There are a lot of ethical factors to Christianity that appeal to non-Christians. Further, there are the Liberation Theologists--some of them, I believe, were/are Marxists. (Most probably weren't/aren't, though leaning leftwards.) I have no idea what "Queer Worship" is???....Again,it seems to be the antithesis of anything to do with God... My guess (and I could be wrong) is that it refers to homosexuals who are Christians. Surely you don't join the sectors of the religious right who consider such a thing antithetical to God?
