Bryan Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 If there's any hidden agenda, it's that Harper and the CPC are a lot more LEFT-wing than they are letting on. Quote
DrGreenthumb Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Canada was giving away almost 1.5 billion in tax breaks to the oil companies four years ago -- I wonder what the latest numbers are, if they're available! It's not hard to figure out who's running this country! Shit they spent 1.4 Billion in one friggin weekend on a little party for their rich buddies, what's 1.5 billion a year in tax breaks? Don't you know they are only doing this to improve the lives of the little people? Quote
Alta4ever Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 If your taxes don't support green energy strategies, I don't want my taxes to go to support your dirty oil industry any longer! What other industry gets to claim depreciation allowances on something they didn't make? Something that comes out of the ground, produced over long stretches of time by decayed organic material. The oil industry gets to treat that damn oil pocket like its a piece of factory machinery that will have to be replaced every 20 years! And we, the taxpayers, collectively subsidize their exploration and development....but for some reason, giving tax incentives to other competing energy sources is cheating! Canada was giving away almost 1.5 billion in tax breaks to the oil companies four years ago -- I wonder what the latest numbers are, if they're available! It's not hard to figure out who's running this country! Considering the taxes paid by the industry and by those who work in that industry, pay the welfare tab to keep so called have not provinces a float you may want to re think biting the hand that feeds you. dre Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Fine but my taxes don't have to support it. Tax dollars have been driving energy research for a hundred years... Quote I question things because I am human. And call no one my father who's no closer than a stranger

Jack Weber Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 is Leslie Noble still thare??. A Harris hack on the public dime??? Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
Topaz Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Just by looks alone, it seems Harper agenda was to put Canada back into the RED and he did it very well. Of course, to do then things he wanted to do meant spending Canadians tax dollars but that's OK, he'll just have a sale, and pay down the deficit. He gave away a billion to the US lumber sector, G20, spending billions on military, perhaps he did offer a million to Cadman? Quote
msdogfood Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 A Harris hack on the public dime??? So he is still working??. Quote
Jerry J. Fortin Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Tax dollars have been driving energy research for a hundred years... Until now. Big oil has painted the tree huggers as bad news. Quote
PIK Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) I guess it could be true, although I also don't like the left-wing. Harper had much more money than his rival in his election. Many people wondered where it came from. If he get majority, I will not surprise if he will try to buy more weapons, make more street weapons available, send more troops to abroad, make gas price even higher, those things will make US weapon industry and oil industry happy. Talk about being brianwashed, make more street weapons availible, how much more availible can you get, thanks to dalton who is scared shitless of the natives to do anything about the smuggling going on. I hope you are not one of these people that actually think coming down hard on farmers and hunters( gun registry) will scare the real crinimals away. One more thing the libs sent the troops to afghanistan, harper is bringing them home. How many more billions would we have lost if harper did not make the deal? You got to love it when big scandals of the day is cencus form , security costs for the G20/G8, buying proper equiptment for our brave troops, and even cadmans wife said that never happened ,so why bring it up, so it sure is nice not having to deal with a corrupt goverment like we did under chretien, unfortunitly we will never know the real cost of the liberals scandals. capricorn Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I lifted this from a comments section in the St.Catharines Standard. "Mr. Harper He means to deceive, to master our will He plies his façade with smiles and with skill He peddles “No promise” like poisoned snake oil While markets go mad and polar bears boil. No promise, no commitment, no collaboration, no aim Just crusading to power with a wide open frame. The money’s all gone, the houses are empty And old boy Harper’s still calm and uppity The bailout did nothing, the market ‘s maxed out Buy cheaper stocks is what Harper’s about. Voters, awaken, you must understand His sweater is slipping, he’s playing his hand. He’s after Carte Blanch with Our Nation’s direction He’s after full power to silence objections."
