Is it just bad Karma? First the bus breaks down.....and now - for the first time in the history of the St. Lawrence Seaway, there's an oil spill - and it's a ship belonging to the former Liberal Prime Minister. What else could go wrong for these lovable losers.

This really isn't a political story.

I disagree. The spill may affect many Canadians if the oil leaks into municipal water supplies. It has also stopped trade with ships being unable to go through the Seaway locks.

lol. Sucks to be him right now. Actually maybe it doesn't, he owns a ship filled with oil! That beats me.

The spill didn't go anywhere...and it was rather small. It also has pretty much nothing to do with Paul Martin. I doubt he was in control of the ship when it ran aground.

This wasn't a ship full of oil. It's simply the fuel for the ship itself that spilled....and yeah...I doubt it sucks to be the person who was the richest PM in Canadian history.

Smallc, are you sure you're not being influenced by the size of the BP spill? Put another way, had the BP spill not happened, would you still think 200 tonnes of oil spilling into the Seaway is a "rather small" spill?

It also has pretty much nothing to do with Paul Martin.

The only reason Martin transferred CSL to his sons is because he was forced to do so under Parliamentary rules. Martin built CSL and I would wager that today he, as a private citizen, is very much involved in the management and operation of the company.

I doubt he was in control of the ship when it ran aground.

Very funny. :P

It was 75 tonnes, and I do think that such a spill is rather small, especially when it is virtually completely contained.

And I doubt Tony Hayward was on the brake handle of the Deepwater Horizon. Doesn't matter, this is Paul's mess and the timing couldn't be better.

It's a matter of scale. 50,000 liters of oil in the Atlantic would be minor...50,000 liters of oil in your mom's kitchen is another thing altogether. If you look at the physical size of the area affected, this is a major incident.

Well, I don't blame Tony Hayward...and this is a bit of a different case.

Remember when they found a duffle bag full of cocaine on one of Martin's ships? It's not easy keeping track of your wealth when you run with the big dogs - sometimes the bad dogs tag along for the spoils. Yes the bus broke down and poor Iggy still does not have the skill to kiss a baby or shake the hand of the common guy and love them..if you want to be king you have to love and protect your subjects..problem is liberalism is very mechanical - all of their liberal hugs feel like some sort of auto-tronic embrass - much as I remember Trudeau's hand shake...the coldest hand on a living human being I have ever felt. No they are not lovable losers---what's there to love? Liberals who are supposed to liberate the best parts of the population now enslave the best and slowly get them ousted out of the social order- just like all corporate entities ...they want submissive and stupid people - the war against intelligent life in Canada still goes on and God really dispise those that hate intelligent life - and he hates the buses they travel in.

Why are people here insinuating that this is somehow a "Liberal" sin...rather than a Business one, and so bipartisan by nature?

Oh yeah...Business...sacrilege to point that out, I forgot.....
