Conspiracy comes from the word con spire or breath together as one entity. Corporations conspire...lawyers become one and betray their own clients while taking advantage of both conflicting parties...Banks do it....woman do it to rid a friend of an abuser. To conspire is quite normal within a collective..but if the conspiracy becomes to large a beast forms in the collective. The beast becomes so large that it tramples on all destroying all. Why this is a great danger is because the proverbial biblical beast really has no head so you can not reason with it....and those that are part of this collective do not even know that they do the bidding of the mindless collective.. when humans become like a colony of insects nothing good can come from it,,,that is the problem with Islam and other collectives....beastly brutes form...a huge beast in human form -----a Yaho.

Apparently It has been changed because when I put in the URL a story called "here come the lesbian rangers". If that is the type of shit that this site pushes than it is instantly discredited.

The site feeds on the tradition of American paranoia, but you likely made the mistake I did and didn't clip Topaz's url properly.

here it is again:

I looked at, and am aware of most of the incidents that are termed conspiracies, by Alex Jones. Indeed, they are true. Most have their roots in social experimentation. But are they conspiracies? By definition I would say so. But I would heed what Oleg says about conspiracy theories - Men have a tendency to conspire.

Why did Topaz create this thread? So we would be less inclined to dispute "Conspiracy theories" in general? Stupidity goes much further toward explaining events than conspiracies. The sky is falling is stupidity but could it be thought of as a conspiracy?

It wouldn't have legs if it weren't more about stupidity.

If the intention is to extrapolate to other events in general, that would be naive at best. I doubt that Topaz is that dumb. If anything it shows that governments should never be completely trusted. The real naive ones are the ones who do trust, and not challenge them. Those in power use collusion to manipuate events and increase their power, in all levels of society. And it has ever been thus

Western democracy is designed to encourage open criticism and keep powers in check.

No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

"The Masses" is too general a term, especially when you consider most people don't really care too much about government unless it interferes with their lives.

Democracy is opium for "special interests".

I agree! Governments should never be completely trusted. So! Should they be given powers beyond a limited mandate? If so, there is less worry about collusion and manipulation. The US Constitution attempted to do that but over two centuries the government has been able to grant itself more powers.

It should be written up that socialist government run schemes like universal health care just don't work and a better option needs to be found. The private insurance run health care system doesn't work either but at least that one can change. The governemnt run one can't change, once enacted your stuck with it. The only change is in the annual size of it's budget.

To put your thought in perspective Pliny:

"Health-care spending in Canada is expected to reach $183.1 billion this year, up more than five per cent from last year, according to a report released on Thursday.

The Canadian Institute for Health Information's annual report on national health spending forecast an increase of $241 per person, raising total expenditures to an estimated $5,452 this year.

Health spending has risen since 2008 by more than five per cent, or an estimated $9.5 billion, before inflation."

It seems by the time solutions are found and agreed on, half of us may not be here.

There will only be solutions how to pay everyone, no solutions for an effective health care delivery system will be on the radar.

I don't really understand how such things as the Manhattan project can be called conspiracy.

I haven't really gone into research on hit, but I find it hard to fathom the idea of concealing the trinity test from the general public.

In fact, I don't think most of those don't really fit the definition of:

Main Entry: conspiracy theory

Function: noun

Date: 1909

: a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators

Interesting nonetheless.
