Topaz Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 I don't think most Canadians have anything against proroguing BUT, the PM better have a GOOD reason for it and in this case, it was all to protect the Tory government and NOT what was good for the country. There's nothing Canadians can do about the PAST PM's that did this, but, times are different and so any people are hurting and Harper's scam was the last straw and people are angry. The Tories are losing their own supporters and from what I have heard some of their ministers say, they their budget will have good ideas from the opposition parties and again they have no creditable ideas of their own. Well, they did have at least two good ideas actually, like more transparency and democratic reforms. I was pretty sure the CRAP were full of Tories right from the beginning but these ideas certainly sounded nice didn't they? nicky10013 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 A smart leader will have no problem using someone else's idea if it is good for the country. I'd agree with that statement, but when the government is all out of ideas and has to solely rely upon the opposition for ideas, that's no longer leading, just following. Quote
msdogfood Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 looks like the PMO did not need all this time for the new budget at all from what i see it has nothing new at all!! Quote

You've seen the budget, it hasn't been released yet, how did you get it? Quote "What about the legitimacy of the democratic process, yeah, what about it?"
