Topaz Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Its been said in the past, that Canada has been trying to win the hearts of the Afghanis, but the events that just happened may now just wiped that thought out. NATO bombers dropped bomb, trying to kill the Taliban only to kill 10 school aged children. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8432653.stm Quote

eyeball Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Canada should stick to its timetable and get all its troops out. We should advance that timetable and get out now. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

BubberMiley Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 As I understand the allegations, they didn't drop a bomb on the schoolchildren. They dragged them out of their beds and shot them. http://www.juancole.com/2010/01/serial-catastrophes-in-afghanistan.html Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Guest American Woman Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) As I understand the allegations, they didn't drop a bomb on the schoolchildren. They dragged them out of their beds and shot them. http://www.juancole.com/2010/01/serial-catastrophes-in-afghanistan.html I'm kind of doubting that version. Some who have seen photographs of the dead said that several of them appeared to have beards, suggesting they were not young adolescents. link Edited January 5, 2010 by American Woman Quote
Oleg Bach Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 If the world is now offically ruled by crimminals. Why do the less presentable and more unsavory hoods get the dirty end of the stick. There is now an offical government in Afghanistan that is crimminal...and others lower down the food chain that are being systemically crimminalized. The way it has always been is that two feuding crimminal factions have a contest..The more powerful victor becomes the establishment and the weaker loser takes on the role of the bad guy or the "crimminal" - the truth being no matter if one side puts on 2000 dollar suits or not..both sides are still crimminals..we should learn to live with that fact rather than use terms like "democracy" or legitimate government...or even that stupid term terrorists that is akin to homo-phobia..and I am not afraid of gays or guys that believe God is on their side. God in my mind does not take sides in what is a war of insect like attrition. Quote
