wyly Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 WHEN a father sends you a message that his wayward son is going to do some damage to an aircraft..that message should have been in the presidents office within the hour...How hard can that be? When a couple of aircraft are heading for the twin towers that have no buisness at that altitude or air space - that information should have been called in within minutes - Maybe they should keep it simple and have the embassies have a direct number to Obamas cell phone..the one he has on his body...not a number to call a number to call a number to call a number to call someone who is going to judge and evaluate the process of further calls to another number to call a number...and so on and so on...The commander and Chief has to many chiefs. this latest attack was a complete fuck up, the guys father sends a warning, he was on a no fly list, he gets on the plane with no luggage, a one way ticket...the security measures were all in place...a lot of people were asleep on this one the plane thing, I don't fault anyone who could imagined such a scheme, even if GWB had got the call of the mysterious planes he would have no clue how to handle that, same goes for Obama..they're Presidents not counter terrorist experts Quote “Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives.”- John Stuart Mill
eyeball Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 It's not the Americans helping to sustain and protect the brutal regime in Sudan, you know, but the Chinese, but no one cares about that either. That's not true at all. You and I have in fact agreed in the past that our government doesn't speak out enough about Chinese disregard for human rights and for meddling in the internal affairs of other countries. That said how come I don't see you bending over backwards to say anything about other allies of our's doing the same thing next door to Sudan? Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal
Guest American Woman Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 this latest attack was a complete fuck up, the guys father sends a warning, he was on a no fly list, he gets on the plane with no luggage, a one way ticket...the security measures were all in place...a lot of people were asleep on this one He wasn't on a "no fly" list; he didn't get on the plane with no luggage, he had a carry-on; and he had a round trip ticket. Seems to me no matter what's done security-wise, the occasion 'threat' will get through. Quote
Born Free Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) He wasn't on a "no fly" list; he didn't get on the plane with no luggage, he had a carry-on; and he had a round trip ticket. It's amazing how urban legends can flood the internet. One of the forums I attend had it down as the guy being allowed to board without a passport when in fact he had a visa which was only stripped/revoked after the attempted attack.
