weareone
He is also against a constitutional amendment stating the marriage is only between a man and a woman. I guess you need to learn not to jump to conclusions huh? Don't let your pre-concieved ideas lead you to incorrect assumptions. I made a mistake, I admitted it. You should have taken it as it was instead of gloating over it. You are another one of those who have preconceived delusions about themselves. weareone
It's interesting how Cheney, a conservative Republican who happens to have a gay family member, was against such an amendment. Nothing like being personally affected to make one 'open' to letting people make their own life decisions and live life the way they choose. I wonder how Bush would have felt about it if one of his daughter's was openly gay? It may to have opened Chjeney's eyes in the area of homosexuality but he probably still hides his grandkids under the bed to save them from terrorists which he hopes will strike the US again so he can prove that Obama is going to lead the US into another terrorist attack through Obama's policies. Sir Bandelot
He HOPES it? Worse than that, he's going to make it happen. Cheney should be arrested, for supporting terrorism.
PocketRocket
From OP's link...... ADAIR: Saturday Night Live is a very important factor in how people get information about American politics. I think anyone who uses SNL as a source of news has problems of their own ADAIR: This is not a fair portrayal of- of how Obama’s done. But it’s comedy- it doesn’t have to be fair. Bingo!!! kimmy
I asked before and nobody responded... but is this more or less unprecedented? I personally can't recall a mainstream news organization (let alone 2!) taking the step of defending a politician from criticisms made during a comedy segment, but I'm certainly open to the possibility that there are some that I've forgotten or wasn't aware of. This isn't a challenge or anything, it's just a request for information. -k

I can't remember who won, but the shock and dismay by the media was near universal. Now I'm not saying it's true but there was talk that it was a Machiavellian scheme by the pater to regain pubickly what had been lost discreetly 2 years earlier and there by raise her bride value. Didn't work though, ended up marrying the son of an editor of a tedious small magazine .... Edited October 24, 2009 by M.Dancer
