whowhere Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I guess he probably wouldn't like Somalia either ? Amazing comparing Canada to bottom of the barrel countries I wonder if the US compares itself to zimbabwai or pakistan or does the United States compare itself with likes of Germany, Britain, France, and other countries alike. Canada is suppose to be a developed Country but is nothing more than a glorified horse and buggy country. The only way to compare Canada to other Countries is to forget about National Debt, Forget about deficits, forget about money all together and have a look at Canada in Comparison to the United States, Britain, and many European Countries as to infrastructure and capabilities. Canada and open field with a shed for shelter. All the other Countries, 10 bedroom houses, fancy cars, gold plated cutlery to eat. Canada is lucky if its able to tie its own shoe laces. Quote Job 40 (King James Version) 11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. 12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. 13 Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
whowhere Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 You missed my point. The rest are asians because of cost - nothing more. If the asians expected to get paid what a Canadian expects then they would have likely done all of the work in Canada. Amazingly there was a documentary on the Chinese economy and a person who made $10 dollars a day was able to pay his rent, buy his food, and everything else they wanted for $5.00 and put away $5.00. Relatively, that person is far wealthy than any Canadian. Who can put away 50% of their take home pay after paying for shelter and food. What really matters is what one able to get for the money they have to spend. Doing that comparison it is easy to spot how canada stacks up to other Countries around the world. Canada is a fraud and country of low lifes. Doing that comparison it is easy to spot how canada stacks up to other Countries around the world.Purchasing Power Parity is the metric used to take that factor into account. By that definition Canada is 13th in the world for per captita.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...PPP)_per_capita What these figures don't take into account is that the Chinese middle class depend on an army of virtually free labour that reduces the cost of most goods and services to them. Sorry but the only reason that you didn't college is because you weren't qualified. I don't even know how that's possible, the standards and requirements are so low. There are more "classrooms" and seats in education programs of all types than ever, the universities and colleges continue to expand. A greater and greater percentage of the population has post-secondary degrees of some sort. It doesn't matter my family for 2 generations built and paid for this country and a immigrant and minoritys can walk in and get education handed to them on a silver platter. The fact that your ancestors lived here for several generations does not and should not have any impact on whether you get accepted to colleges or universities. Thankfully, access to post-secondary education in Canada is still at least partially based on merit. as discussed earlier my generation wether we like it or not we haveto take some serious pay cutts to compete with the cheap Chinese, Mexicans labor so for us to run a $60,000 debt for university to get out and make penuts is just not feasable. $60,000 debt for university? Ever heard of summer work, co-op programs, scholarships, bursaries? I can see $60,000 debt in the US, but here in Canada, no way, unless you are an idiot. I finished university with more money than I started. The only thing In my favor my parents bought me a home they are giving to me when I turn 18 its nothing fancy but for what its worth I can sell and leave Canada where A.) I can live like a king on that kind of money leave in search of a education. Your parents "bought you a home" and you are complaining about the cost of education? Haha. Sorry if this is harsh but you sound like someone that's had everything handed to you on a silver platter, never worked for anything yourself, and now are pissed that universities won't accept you on the basis of your Canadian-ness alone despite your grades, which must be absolutely appalling to not get accepted. Smallc Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I don't even know how that's possible, the standards and requirements are so low. Depends on the program. Quote
