Oleg Bach Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 I gave him the chart several posts ago.....maybe he didn't see it. Grade = F Here in Canada we give everyone straight A s just to make sure we don't hurt their self esteem...now be kind - tell him "good job" and send him on his way...so what's up BC? _ hope you are well ----it's Thursday up here - just like down their - that means jam night across the street - better have a bath and spruce up - tune up the axe - and try to at least feel like I am a human being of relevant ---- but still being a student - I sleep with the guitar on my wifes side of the bed - I pick it up in the morning and make sure my hand retains it's skill - that's called home work - use it or lose it' - young or older you still have to stay in shape - and you are rewarded for the work you do ---youngsters will say "jeezz wish I could play write and sing like that - well you can if you want to put in the ten thousand hours....so I give myself a B because I could always be better than I am - we all can. It's amazing what they will do to keep the broadband plugged in. I'm watching those cheesy HGTV shows produced in Canada.....I like 'em. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Oleg Bach Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Yea...it's totally Thursday "down" here too.....just got done with motivating my son to mow the lawn. It's amazing what they will do to keep the broadband plugged in. I'm watching those cheesy HGTV shows produced in Canada.....I like 'em. Enjoy them while they are young - sounds like the kid loves you - I got a kick out of watching a son cut the grass - I remember the first time I powered up the mower - and the kid was so thrilled to actually run the machine --- I stood back and looked on in pride and hoped - damn - he's only six - I hope he keeps his toes....You know BC - if you keep this dad thing up - by the time the kid is in his twenties it will still be fun...I have no regrets about the wealth I generated and the bonus and joy I got back ---it's an adventure..enjoy --- as for the TV - I almost never watch it anymore - I am a old fashioned radio man - love to hear banter---and talk....Okay - time to shave - and I hear that stupid old sax player that keeps showing up.....can't sing worth shit but he blows not bad.....the young players will be showing up soon - I can see the bar from my living room window...what's great is when my youngest shows up and we play together - the folks just love the dad and son thing ---------------and they say - "wish I had a dad like that" -----------I* guess I am living the dream....my kids say - you just had kids so you could have a rock band when you are old.......... Frankly - I wish it was that way - but all my children run as independants and they put me in my place -----there goes a street car - and there I go also ----------BC---after all is said and done - I am a success - now I just need to dig up some more cash to make me stop worrying about potting soil......guess I got it good. Can't grow a garden on the back roof - how I ended up down town is beyond me - I suppose it was meant to be --------------old blood ---over and out. Quote
Shady Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 your foul insult is just that far off base -- his rating, prior to 9/11 was hovering at 50% http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/6038436.stm http://politicalarithmetik.blogspot.com/20...-bush-2001.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gallup_P...orge_W_Bush.png and, apparently, you didn't even read your own source -- http://articles.latimes.com/2003/oct/02/na...na-tumble2?pg=2 which says the same thing Um, that's exactly what I posted. His approval rating was at 51%. Another way to put it, would be hovering at 50%. But 50% isn't approval ratings that are 'in the toilet'. Quote
