madmax Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Really i seem to recall controversy caused by the last leadership race where a certain candidate stepped in over the Quebec subject, and Harper put forward a motion in the commons. I think Harper made the decision on that. As for afgansistan, what decision had Mr. Ignatieff made not being the PM he has done nothing and his party has rubberstamped very decision on this file the conservatives have made since comming to office in 2006. Isn't that great? Quote
Alta4ever Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Among other things, you are confusing agreeing with the decisions of others and leaving the decisions to others. Agree is that what call the situation in the commons commitees? It just shows he has got nothing but the liberal name and the fact that he isn't Dion. The only thing could muster about the budget was we will put them on probabtion. (Harper got more opposition from his own party then from Ignatieff) Put up and website were the .com was "very liberal" site that I think will capture more peoples attention then the liberal party's .ca onprobation site. You would have thought someon in theliberal party would have thought to check and buy the address for the.net, .org, and .com as well to redirect to their site but, well liberals seem to be having troubles keeping their acts together. Alta4ever Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Isn't that great? No i would like to see an effective opposition, even if I don't like them. myata Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 in a bi-partisan spirit. I think it's very much the essence of our problem. Bi. Harper or Ignatieff. Ignatieff or Harper. Well yes there's another way and here's what we should do, get rid of "Bi" and accept "PR" as most of the world around us. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

If it was only of me, I would only get rid of the "i" and replace it by a "y" (bypartisanship). Quote
myata Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Ah, but we all know, by or bi, what it's all about. The big prize next time around. What's magical about that number I don't know. Maybe what it's the simpliest after one? Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant
benny Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Ah, but we all know, by or bi, what it's all about. For a French-speaking Canadian like me, it's a lot. Quote
myata Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Can't speak for French canadians, women canadians, other canadians, but me personally, I don't quite enjoy (not for a lack of stronger - much stronger word), this present duopoly where not voting for one side automatically means supporting the other. I mean folks, this is (much) less of of a freedom of choice we could have in this glorious age of democracy. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

myata Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 It's kept stable though, artificially, by our outdated electoral system, and it's a really big mystery to who's benefit (no, it couldn't be ...?!!). Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

Also by looking at Airbus and Boeing, we can say it benefits lobbyists who have fewer bribes to deal out. Quote
