I don't really care about Galloway political view but, I would like to see the boxing match between Galloway and Jason Kenney!! If by helping the people that he gave aid to during the war between Israel and Hamas, is supporting terrorist, then if the West gives aid to the people of Cuba, Iran or any country that is deemed a terrorist country, Then I think that is very wrong. The people of those countries should have to die or starve to threat because of what other countries think of them. Its like Pakistan, not many others countries came to their aid. That's not very Christian it is?

Is entering Canada a right or simply a privilege, I would think any country would have the right to determine who they want to set foot on their soil. Once allowed in, then he does have the right to free speech unless he's promoting hatred or inciting a riot.

There's a great piece here which says it a lot better than I can.

http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Knock+Galloway+libel+court/3623576/story.html

Lucky for Hamas and its followers. When rabid Hamas supporters manage to venture into Israel, too often it has been with them wearing bombs around their waists -- not cash -- to blow up civilians travelling home from school on a public bus, or eating pizza with their families.

But money is not all that Galloway delivered. "We are giving you 100 vehicles and all of their contents," said Galloway, seated next to Ismail Haniya, the man Galloway calls the prime minister of Palestine and who is the de facto leader of Hamas and therefore the government in Gaza.

"Here's the money," adds a clearly excited Galloway. "This is not charity. This is politics. We are giving this money now to the government of Palestine," he added, something Fatah might take exception to.

In Canada, it is against the law to fund terrorist organizations. That's why Galloway was rightly barred from entering Canada in March 2009 by Immigration Minister Jason Kenney. He believed, as does this paper, that Galloway was upholding a law that doesn't allow those who break our laws into our country.

However, federal court Justice Richard Mosley ruled last week that labelling Galloway as a supporter of Hamas simply for handing over aid and cash into Gaza was motivated by "antipathy to his political views" and displayed "a flawed and overreaching interpretation of the standards under Canadian law for labelling someone as engaging in terrorism or being a member of a terrorist organization."

Wow. Who knew that one can give money right into the hands of the leader of a terrorist group and not be viewed as a supporter of terrorism? Did Mosley not see these videos?

The most disturbing line Galloway can be heard saying in the video, however, is the following: "With friends like this convoy, it makes us believe that one day we can return to our country, that we can drive them away."

"Them," in this case, are Jews and "our country" is the state of Israel. Sounds an awful lot like he's quoting from the Hamas charter that vows to destroy Israel, doesn't it?

Um no it doesnt.

You best check the Charter.

Notwithstanding the narrowly defined hate literature it does.

It's on the record, on this site. Therefore it's available to challenge me if I'm lying.

You made a claim, and then believe anyone who disputes it (or even asks if it's true) should do the search.

But I have no need to lie because I'm generally debating with such feckless, brainless simpletons here that truth is more than adequate.

Or it could be that you're an arrogant little coward. The jury's out.

Oh bite me. I'm not wasting time looking up posts to satisfy a sanctimonious prig like you on some inconsequential fragment of a post.

I wonder why we haven't seen it?

For the same reason we haven't see the WHOLE Rodney King video, just a little part.

And for the same reason clip that appeared on CBC (probably by error) just once and pulled off, showing black cop (with some thug friends) in the Homeland, executing handcuffed whites laying down in the street, by shot in the head.

Galloway is not a Canadian. As I said earlier, free speech guarantees Canadian morons the right to spout their silly twaddle. It does not guarantee every moronic foreigner the right to come here to spout the same.

Um no it doesnt.

You best check the Charter.

Actually that provision of the Charter applies to "everyone":

2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(a) freedom of conscience and religion;

(b ) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;

(c ) freedom of peaceful assembly; and

(d) freedom of association.

Contrast this with "Democratic Rights":

DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS OF CITIZENS.

3. Every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election of members of the House of Commons or of a legislative assembly and to be qualified for membership therein.

It shouldn't take a Yank to point that out.

Think of all the problems with our immigration and refugee systems we would have never had if we'd used the example of the Bill of Rights.

It reminds me of Peter Ustinov, a UK citizen of Russian background, criticizing US Costitution (2nd Ammendment specifically) on US Television. Saying "Yes, you have a right to defend yourself, with a musket - that's how it was intended".

He forgot he wasn't exersising 1st Amendment through a birchbark moutpiece standing on some corner sidewalk, but national television. (never mind the fact he was a foreigner)

That is horrendous and deplorable. I had been in favor of letting this guy come to Canada and prove what a moron he is, but after seeing that video I'm leaning towards banning him. That's just disgusting and appalling.

Now Galloway receives world wide coverage, and Canada is going to have to explain to the rest of the world including the UK where he sits as a member of parliment, just why he is a threat to national security.

1) What has rest of the world to do with the idiot?

2) It's the UK that has to explain how such a moron and racist got to be anywhere close to the UK government.

Some of the things British MP George Galloway has said:

"I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns."

The idiot doesn't even know the guns were sold to him by China, Russia and France.

Giving evidence before the U. S. Senate in May 2005 on whether he received any money from Saddam's regime.

What IS important that Saddam bribed some Russian diplomats, French and also UN - using "oil for food" program.

Get this Kimmy. After he was booted from the Labour Party, Galloway co-founded the party called RESPECT.

The Respect Party, formerly known as Respect – The Unity Coalition, is a left wing political party in England and Wales founded on 25 January 2004 in London. Its name is a contrived acronym standing for Respect, Equality, Socialism, Peace, Environmentalism, Community, and Trade Unionism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Respect_Party

He was formerly an MP for the Labour Party, first for Glasgow Hillhead, and later for Glasgow Kelvin, before his expulsion from the party in October 2003,[1] the same year that he came to public attention for his opposition to the American and British invasion of Iraq.[2] He subsequently became a founding member of the left wing Respect Party, and through them represented Bethnal Green and Bow in the 2005 parliament.[3] In the 2010 election, Galloway unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary seat of Poplar and Limehouse.

If anyone had any doubt about Galloway's beliefs try reading this. Viva Palestina is a registered charity founded by George Galloway, a group which went to Syria to work with the SSNP which is an openly neo-nazi anti-semitic party. Galloway is a long way down that rabbit hole.

Yes...if we had all witnessed the entire video, we would all believe the police had every right to mercilessly beat a defenseless man laying prostrate on the ground.

Or we would all believe it if we were power-worshipping little authoritarians.

Of course it didn't happen. When he says that he has often "championed free specch," he means he has often said "The left doesn't believe in free speech."

That's how high the standards are. Watch:

"The right wing doesn't support free speech."

There: I'm a champion of free speech. Surprisingly easy to be a champion.
