ACORN and Obama

Recommended Posts

ACORN is NOT involved in massive voter fraud, but rather registration irregularities which are being investigated. Most of the irregularities were reported to the authorities by ACORN itself. Voter fraud does not occur until someone, Mickey Mouse perhaps, tries to vote illegally.

Yes, which can happen more easily, when groups like ACORN petition against required identification for voting. They're poisoning the process from both ends.

You have a link about that?

From what i've learned, the ACORN scandal has been about lazy ACORN employees who are paid to register as many voters as they can. The lazy greedy ones are making up names/addresses and registering them so they don't actually have to register real voters. The problem with this is that nobody can vote as "Mickey Mouse" or the Dallas Cowboys unless they have a fake ID's saying they are these people. Though id welcome some legit evidence to the contrary.

If ACORN really wanted to do voter fraud they are being extremely lazy and obvious about it.

SACRAMENTO -- The owner of a firm that the California Republican Party hired to register tens of thousands of voters this year was arrested in Ontario over the weekend on suspicion of voter registration fraud.

State and local investigators allege that Mark Jacoby fraudulently registered himself to vote at a childhood California address where he no longer lives so he would appear to meet the legal requirement that all signature gatherers be eligible to vote in California. His firm, Young Political Majors, or YPM, collects petition signatures and registers voters in California and other states.

That's right, they haven't had a chance to commit actual fraud yet as they did last election.

Proof ? Evidence ? Bush spent about as much time looking for this elusive voter fraud as he did looking for Bin Laden. How many prosecutors has he fired ? How many voter fraud convictions did he get out of it ?

The whole thing is a Karl Rove idea to justify making it harder for poor people to vote. Require ID that 10% of the black population does not have in order to combat a mythical problem.

Lets think about organized vote fraud for a second. How would you pull it off ? You would need a small army of people willing to commit crimes (you can only vote so many times). You would need to produce a mass amount of fake id (this year). You have to get these people by a Republican before he got a ballot. You would need a detailed plan to avoid making it totally obvious. You would need to plan distributing these people among the polling stations. You would have to worry that someone you are giving instructions to has a tape recorder. You would need large amounts of money.

Conspiracys this big simply do not exist.

Many people point to "Mickey Mouse" as some sort of proof of "massive voter fraud". I think it is just the opposite. If it really was sophisticated voter fraud, they would have picked a name that could vote.

And not only is there no evidence behind the accusations of voter fraud, it diverts attention from the Republican strategy of voter fraud -- denying and challenging the credentials of voters registered in urban areas that do not support Republican candidates:

While the GOP continues to accuse Democrats of voter fraud, top Republican operatives are getting busted for voter suppression. The executive director of the Montana Republican Party, Jake Eaton, resigned Tuesday "after a failed attempt to challenge registration of voters in some Democratic strongholds," the Helena Independent Record reported.

Dead goldfish offered the vote in Illinois

CHICAGO (AP) — The only "agent of change" Princess ever supported was the person who freshened the water in her fishbowl.

So election officials in Chicago's northern suburbs want to know why voter registration material was sent to the dead goldfish.

"I am just stunned at the level of people compromising the integrity of the voting process," said Lake County Clerk Willard Helander, a Republican, who said she has spotted problems with nearly 1,000 voter registrations this year.

And once again a fraudulent voter registration form would have to be presented to election officials before you can call it vote fraud! So what do you think would happen when that goldfish showed up at the polls?

But just in case you think that Republicans are lawful and above this sort of thing:
