betsy Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 So we all know your party continues to slide down the polls. There is danger that the NDP may take the position of official opposition. Starting today on the English debate to the 13th of October, what will you do? What will be your strategy? Quote

August1991 Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 This English debate is make or break for Dion. He did well in the French debate (or what I saw of it). IMHO, Dion should be himself. He is an intelligent, articulate, ambitious person. He would make a good PM if he ever got the chance. Unfortunately, Dion doesn't have alot of time left to let Canadians discover him. Quote
Vancouver King Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Continue tonight what he did last night - breathe some fresh air into this election by discussing the issues - ie. environment and the war. Harper has had a free ride thus far with his attack ads tactics, at some point real issues must be discussed and their discussion will enhance Liberal chances. capricorn Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 He is an intelligent, articulate, ambitious person. He would make a good PM if he ever got the chance. I'm certain there are many Canadians would like Dion as Prime Minister but they don't want the Liberal policies that would come with him. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. scribblet Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Yup, especially the green shaft... I think the suggestion to attack Layton is a good one, Dion needs to work on getting the vote from that area or the Grits will be gritless after hte 14th. capricorn Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 I doubt anything will put Dion in the running for PM. As time is running out his objective should centre on winning a few of the close ridings. He should continue using Liberal stars such as Iggy and Rae, on the campaign trail. This will make it appear they are a real team. He should lay off talking about the Green Shift as this has shown to turn voters off. He should go around kissing babies and patting kids on the head. People like that. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers

jdobbin Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 This English debate is make or break for Dion. He did well in the French debate (or what I saw of it). He was the biggest loser on the French debates by far. IMHO, Dion should be himself. He is an intelligent, articulate, ambitious person. His resignation as leader when the election results come in won't even help the Liberals. Quote
