Bush was piss poor President whos success is to receive two terms and prove to the American Public and the world that his 2nd term could be worst then the first.

He Succeeded.

I would say that this puts him higher then Bill Clinton.

I suppose this depends on your definition of war. For the purpose of it ending for Al Queda...well, they are still killing members of the US military and civilians, so to them it is still a war- they don't care what you think. They didn't care about Bush's "mission accomplished" either.

So what ? .....they were doing that before the invasion of Iraq too.

No, but they never were in New York - Al Qaeda was. They are a different animal. If the Confederates/Federales/Germany/Korea went to New York, they would be killed. Same with Al Qaeda, but they don't care cause they will go to heaven and be given lots of women without face masks.

Then they can die like all the rest....no big deal. Sure as hell not going to give them special treatment just because you think they might get upset for being in Iraq. Let's make it a Jihad to remember!

I doubt "inspired" is the right the word. The Sunnis were more than happy to have Al Qaeda kill Americans. It was when Al Qaeda started to threaten the power of the tribes and the remains of Saddam's army that people became "awakened".

They don't like the US either, but the US gives them guns that they just might use against the Shite's.

No, the US gives them money. I suppose you originally thought that Bush never should have invaded, but he did anyway....because he wanted to. Two other PMs agreed. Ding dong...Saddam is dead.

Economics trumps Virtue.

It did not contain any specific threat information either.

What's the question? Who led the most effective or infective administration? One is just more smoother than the other. By the way speaking of Bush - well Bush senior - and Billy "the boner" Clinton...where did all that Tsunami relief money go anyway?

True, it didnt have the dates, method and time .

If one refuses to listen can one claim later they didnt know?

Didn't know what? What was not in the PDB? All it said was that Bin Laden was determined to attack America. Well, duh. That was not new information. Based on that, Bush could have, I suppose, ordered the construction of an impenetrable dome over the whole of the United States.

I believe there was a little more to it than that .

He obviously didnt believe it, otherwise his summer in Texas might have been cut short.

How does that mean he did not believe it? There was a little more to it than that, if you are counting words. But essentially there is no information in that memo which highlights anything similar to the 9/11 attack, except for the word "attack". That's not a lot to go on Guyser. Without a place (could be anywhere) or a time (could have been planned for 2008), that memo was as about as useful as no memo at all. It's like if I sent a message to the Israeli government saying "Palestinian Group plans to attack Israeli citizens somewhere, someday."
