So the CBC runs this hatchet job of a story when none was to be found during the Liberal majority? Why is this news to anyone at all ??? Just blame the Americans!

How was the US being blamed for anything? We know that the US is the #1 military supplier and that Saudis are one of the largest buyers. The story was just saying Canada has tripled its military exports over that last years. The US is Canada largest buyer but Ottawa doesn't keep track of weapons sold to the US because of gov't permits signed in the 1940's which I think its time to take another look at this because the world is changing and the relationship with the US is changing all the time. So.... if NUKE went off within the US ,I guess they couldn't blame Canada because either country keeps track!

Thanks topez, I have always suspected that Canada is a huge arms manufacurer but could never find the information. Not for one minute do I believe that Harper is responsible. There are a lot of Hypocrites in Canada.

Canada has always had an arms trade....I worked on a supplement to the Financial Times of Canada back in 88 it was rather good....but then and I suspect now, much of the arms trade isn't actually weapons. We sell surveillence kit, radar, aircraft parts, logistical software..etc etc etc....and what makes that so different that say China or russia......some 15 year bush fighter in Chad isn't using kit with made in Canada on it.
