You know what i found funny about this? I seem to remember the conservative party appointing a highschool dropout to be the education minister in ontario . Hell at least they graduated from highschool .

I couldn't agree more. We had 8(maybe more) years of western style conservative rule by the harris governemnt. They showed ontarions the style of governemnt the albertan conservatives are pushing for. Harris & cronies F'd things up so bad in this province its no wonder Ontarions largely reject what the albertan conservatives want. The 'alberta model' doesn't work for the rest of canada because we aren't fortunate enough to be sitting on an orgy of oil wealth. We have to work and be taxed in order for our governemnts to pay for the services we want. We pay 15% sales tax + income and all other federal & provincial and municipal taxes and we don't bitch about it. YOU PAY what a measly 7%. Ontario is not marginalizing the rest of canada in fact we FUND most of canada. Just look at how much ontario pays to the federal government in tax dollars and see how little we get in return. The funny thing is WE recognize how important canada is as a whole. Ohh and about the BSE thing... wtf are you pissed at the canadian governemnt for? You should be pissed off @ dubya & his protectionist cronies. The current liberal government has to work within the NAFTA agreement which was implimented by ohh yeah CONSERVATIVES!!! Next your going to be claiming that BSE was a crisis invented by those ontarion bastards to bring the west to its knees. Civil war...? The margin of error is 4.5 percentage points 19 times out of 20. Most of the striking findings from this COMPAS/Ottawa Citzen poll are outside the margin of error and can thus be treated as statistically valid. I think 500 is a little too small of a sample size to be an accurate depiction of voters perceptions. Maybe if it was 1000 I would put a little more faith in it. IMHO 500 people is just cutting corners.

Then again if one does not look to the media for information about an event that happens far away where would one turn for such information? Answer that one? If one cannot turn to the media for at least some form of information who should people look to? Im curious because most people rely on media out of neccesity not out of choice, it is of course the medias job to inform the public as to what is going on in this great world of ours. OK i even have to admit adam smith was a friggin genious... no one else even comes clost to this guy. That however you must understand that the 'free market' requires a few important things; the free movement of goods, the free movement of people/labour, perfect information and all producers are price takers. Adam smiths model of a free market system is only applicable if all these factors are in place, as they are not any reference that the 'market forces' should be the deciding factor is absolute hogwash. Ohh silly silly conservatives. With a leader like Stephen Harper what do you expect from the rest of Canada. The man clearly does NOT command respect, for one usually has to earn it first. He is NOT a statesman, this is just another shining example of why he is not cut out for Canada's top job. Think about it, can you imagine this man going oversees and representing Canada? The other world leaders would have a collective WTF happened to Canada moment . These are my observations as a small c conservative that would have happily voted for the 'progressive conservatives' in the last election. If Belinda was leading the conservative party they would have my support.
