Coffin pleads guilty to fraud of $1.5 million
newbie replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Re the Sponsorship scandal: Okay, so first it was Chretien, then Martin, then the whole Liberal party, then Gomery himself, and now you blame the one person to have plead guilty. So now you blame the legal system. I'm surprised you haven't lumped Sheila Fraser in as well. See a pattern here? -
Liberal bias rears its ugly head

Kinda like Ann Coulter when she insisted Canada sent troops to Vietnam. -
The latest newsweek poll shows the following: Bush's: job approval - 38% handling of Katrina - 43% post handling of N.O. - 44% approval as strong leader - 49% handling of economy - 35% handling of Iraq war - 36% handling of terrorism and homeland security - 46% I'm sure the right will find other polls to dispute, but overall this is pretty bad news for Dubya. http://mediamatters.org/items/200509120007

Thank you for the laugh of the week. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm always happy to educate you. Bush volunteered to go to Vietnam, but only had a bit over 300 flight hours and needed 500 hours <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I always like to go to the horse's mouth. Bush himself says he didn't volunteer. And that's good enough for me. Russert: But you didn't volunteer or enlist to go. President Bush: No, I didn't... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4179618/

I shouldn't have to remind you that Dr. Suzuki is a world recognized scientist. And yes, he is radical about our ecological and environmental future. You can read about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Suzuki. I take his word over any source I've seen yet on this thread.

And just a year ago Blair had this to say: http://www.independent-media.tv/item.cfm?f...mental%20Impact So where does he really stand?
-
So, over 140 countries that have ratified the agreement are all wrong. Interesting.
-
Awwww, perhaps you would be more comfortable in the US forum where you can bash President Bush for every single evil in this world. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, well if the shoe fits.

Try these guys: http://www.ucsusa.org or these folks: http://yosemite.epa.gov/oar/globalwarming....tent/index.html how about here: http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/default.asp And for us Cannucks: http://www.davidsuzuki.org/climate_change/..._ecosystems.asp I think you might have bought into ExxonMobile myths and disinformation. You can't fight the science though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fact is those are all treehugger outfits with zero credibility and even the EPA has been caught falsifying data. You have bought into the UN treehugger scam to export jobs and wealth from industrialized countries while destorying their economies. If that's not good enough take it over here http://www.freedominion.ca/phpBB2/viewforu...c560cb6a92bb066 and they'll will straighten you out. http://www.aim.org/publications/aim_report/2002/15.html http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=291 http://atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/GB25Aa02.html http://mitosyfraudes.8k.com/Calen/UCSscam.html http://www.melaniephillips.com/diary/archives/000253.html http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/green.htm http://www.heartland.org/Article.cfm?artId=11548 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../01/wglob01.xml http://www.canadafreepress.com/2004/caruba092404.htm http://www.john-daly.com/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I give up. If you buy into those "sources" there is nothing little more to add, except to say that folks will have to judge for themselves. I take my information from known and accredited scientists, not from bloggers, journalists, economists, or computer software experts.

China Beats out Canada as top Exporter to US
newbie replied to I miss Reagan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The following like gives a pretty good example of the classed based society that we are. Many want to ignore it, but it is definitely here. A little dated (2002) but still very valid. http://www.workforcedevelopmentgroup.com/n...twenty_six.html -

I think it was the trolling and flaming that got him in trouble. Greg said he was going to clean house and it doesn't surprise me. While I enjoyed some of his posts, I guess he stepped over the line a little too often.

God's 'Intelligent Design' in Classroom? Why Not?
newbie replied to mirror's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I didn't list the flood as it was in Gilgamesh that predates the Bible. I'm talking about the key figures and events in Judeo-Christian religion. A lot of the Christians will refer to Flavius Josephus re Jesus. But as he indicates, Jesus was a popular name back "in the day." -
I can think of a couple of posters on this forum.

To suggest his actions deserved a term like "heroic" is absurd. They were the antithesis of heroic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know. Saving lives always seems heroic to me. Chretien had the cahones (as did most of the world) to stand up to the mighty U.S. and refuse participation in Bush's illegal war.

Right on Cartman. The collaboration between the ND's and the Liberals showed the country how a democracy really works. Unlike the Conservative Party who refused to compromise, and instead went for the power grab. It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if the Libs or ND's formed another minority.

And 3 successive majority governments. Hmmmm.

God's 'Intelligent Design' in Classroom? Why Not?
newbie replied to mirror's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
They can't GostHacked, everytime they run into a contradiction in their own Holy book, they resort to one of many elusive claims: Oh, we aren't supposed to know everything, or God works in mysterious ways, or that part is not to be taken literal, or, or, or... I think you get my drift. And just recently one of their "outs" got uncovered. The archaeology as of late disproves many of the claims of the Old Testatment. Read The Bible Unearthed. Very enlightening. And there just isn't ANY secular references to Adam, Moses, the Red Sea parting, the Exodus, and even Jesus. All they have is their sole book against the world. Sad actually. -
Now we're on to Chretien bashing. What's the matter Right; run out of current topics?

You'll never see that kind of accountability from the Donk sacks of crap that run Lousianna and New Orleans Parish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, Bush had no choice but to take responsibility, given that FEMA reports directly to him. Plus it doesn't help that his approval rating has hit the lowest point of his presidency. Like someone said, Katrina will be his Monica Lewinsky. As far as the Democrat's accountability, I refer you to what Mr. Nagin said: "My biggest mistake is having a fundamental assumption that in the state of Louisiana, with an $18 billion budget, in the country of the United States that can move whole fleets of aircraft carriers across the globe in 24 hours, that my fundamental assumption was get as many people to safety as possible, and that the cavalry would be coming within two to three days, and they didn't come."

August, Mulroney was a compulsive liar. His problem was that he believed what he said. I can't believe anyone would take this guy seriously, especially now since the release of the quotes from Newman's book. And oh, everyone makes a spelling misteak once in a while.
