A cure for what ails Conservatives I agree this is another golden opportunity, perhaps the most significant one since he became leader, however I am not confident that Harper has the smarts to grasp it. Do you?

NDP Launch Major Assault on Ethics Commissioner

Oh, they are listening all right. Or perhaps you have not seen the polls! -
Grewal Tapes 'Clean And Unadulterated' Says Audio Experts Hired By Tories If this proves to be accurate it actually could spell the end of PM Martin's career, let alone Dosanjh and obviously Murphy as well. After all who said that the tapes had been doctored: The Martin Liberals - give me a break! Canada's mainstream media, who contribute financially to the political parties (read Liberal) of their choice - Please give me a break!! No wonder we have seen such an all out attack on Gurmant Grewal by the Liberals.

- from Inkless Wells (Paul) The Conservatives' new slogan: "Minimally Doctored Tapes From a Guy Who Probably Wasn't a Genuine Security Threat."

Why Tories Can't Win And this from an old Socred right winger. He is on the money though with several but not all of his comments. I wonder if the Conservatives are going to realize what a dud they have for leader before or after the next election. If I were a Conservative supporter I would definitely want Harper replaced before the vote. At this point I am not willing to give Harper's Conservatives 75 seats in the next federal election.

The French lesson: Just say 'Non, merci' Canadians are wimps. Watch them roll over and play dead over this latest Supreme Court fiasco. I wonder where this "Deference to Authority" http://www.grubstreetbooks.ca/essays/octobercrisis.html http://www.johnniemoore.com/blog/archives/000215.php come from? Is is part of our British heritage? Obviously the Martin-Dosanjh Liberals have failed Candians on this issue yet what will Canadians do this summer? I know: Canadians will Bar-B-Q.

We've been tricked into working too hard People who have travelled, lived, or know something about Europe I'm sure can really relate to this article. What a bunch of poop our mainstream media, our business community, and right wing organizations have fed North Americans for such a long time now. It must be Mulroney's old adage at play once again: Throw enough shit against the wall and some of it will stick. This is the only reason we have fallen for such tripe, as I cannot think of any other logical reason.

NDP Launch Major Assault on Ethics Commissioner
bigdude posted a topic in Federal Politics in Canada
NDP files ethics complaint against Martin From the feedback tonite on the CBC radio one 6 PM news it sounds that Shapiro may not be up to the task. Reports from the Commons Ethic Committee suggest that he is either incompetent or just not the right person for the job. apparently New Democrat Ed Broadbent at one point asked Shapiro who Sgro's Chief of Staff was and Shapiro didn't have a clue. Who recommended or appointed this Bozo anyways? -
Well I'm not sure what Nina Grewal has to do with anything as far as any underhanded or criminal negotiating with an MP is concerned. Now Dosanjh's Vancouver South seat, that is another situation altogether.

How sad! We have so much in Canada and yet our government won't even live up to its committments to help the less fortunate societies. First the details spewing out of the Gomery commission is seriously eroding Canada's international anti-corruption reputation, and on July 2 Canada is going to be severely embarassed by the concert organized to chastise the G8 members. Lewis pleads with PM for aid

Pat O'Brien Jumps the Liberal Ship
bigdude replied to Newfie Canadian's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He has sold out to the radical christian right in the hope of winning again next election. To fatten the purse, he's also recieved a personal guarantee from Focus on the Family that he won't burn in hell. The man clearly has no principles. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What'd he sell to the radical religious right? And what price did he receive? -k <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is typical Liberal hype and nonsense which they use however, time after time, to win elections. Change the name, change the issue, it's all the same to them. Whatever works to discredit your opponent regardless if he or she is standing on their principles. -
If anyone thinks that these poll results are NOT disasterous for the Harper lead Conservatives, which party do you think is going to win Newton - North Delta next election. 99% of the Punjabi callers certainly tells me something! Fishy ploy alleged in Grewal immigration

How CanWest Helped Elect Campbell and Company Chretien's Liberal government made a major improvement to democracy in Canada by disallowing federal political donations in excess of $5,000. with the idea that the business community were no longer going to be able to buy elections. Oh yes, unions too were going to be prohibited from donating, however their donations were so small compared to business probably between 10 to 1, or 100 to 1 ratios in favour of the businees world that I don't know why they bothered with the unions. Unfortunalely though Canada's media have the principles of gangsters and are drunk with their power. I am looking forward to the day when Canadians will say enough is enough, and legislation will be brought in across Canada to disallow our media to have any connection to any political party in the country.

This Decima poll is showing some amazing results. We now know that these results show the Martin Liberals as usual short of their ever elusive major government, and that the Layton New Democrats have taken over 2nd place in Ontario. It will be fascinating to see what the results are in the other provinces or regions.

Have you heard the latest about everyone's favourit MP Grewal - there is something in the news tonite that may knock your socks off. They are not even sure according to some news reports that he entered Canada legally.
-
Netherlands Thank you for the link however that does link to Decima's latest opinion poll that was released today. Secondly polling companies usually state the margin of error such as within plus or minus 2%, and that their poll is correct for example 19 times out of 20. This 19/20 is what is meant by a rogue poll and it does occur sometime. Ipsos-Reid had one in the last federal election campaign.

Harper eases up on election posture I actually think Harper (AKA Fraser Institute) should leave now with his tail between his legs. What an unmitigated disaster his leadership has turned out to be for the Conservatives. I think we now are facing a possible scenario that Albertans will be be voting Liberal in the next federal election to try and block or stop the Layton New Democrats.
-
Martin Should Improve His Image, Say Canadians Is this what politics boils down to now - a leader's image. Forget policies, or principles. Just image.
-
I was wondering if this was some kind of rogue poll.

Grewal takes leave amid new scandal This Grewal story just seems to get crazier and crazier!
