  1. I think your assuming that the evidence that did convict him was discovered as a result of torture...It was said in the trail that any evidence that was gained during these torture periods was to be struck off the record...Did that happen only those involved would no for certain....Lets be clear here the torture he was subjected to was Loud music, sitting in stress positions, and he was once used as a mop to wipe up his own urine, all classified as mild forms of torture...torture non the less, and I've already said I do not approve of it's use.... GostHack I ask you about the tape he made and was found in the ruble of the house, here it shows him making IED's and mines, he says very proudly he wants to kill Americans, that he has been reporting convoy movements to the Taliban, and Al Qaida, along with troop movements, spying on American bases....All terrorist activates...note he was never charged with these crimes as the US wanted the murder charge...but they do make him a terrorist.... Can anyone but Omar account for his time, starting from when the Afghan police knocked on the door, and both where gunned down, until the time Omar is in his final resting place. One can bet he and those with him know the consequences of getting caught by allied forces, they were all armed, AK47 were found for each enemy combatant found, including young Omar, tell me why he would not have picked up a wpn to defend himself....GSR was found on his hands. why no bullet to the back of the head, it is court documents show that shooting him was discussed , however they were there investigating the use of a sat phone activity, Omar had one in his procession, Omar spoke perfect English, again something odd, that the spec ops guys thought would be usefull intel, those things saved his life... Why ISIS guys gets thrown into Compton, and Omar gets treaty like royalty….They are both the same people.....
  2. No, he was a terrorist whom was convicted of murder...Who got paid out very well because of some misjudgment by some CSIS employee. And now him and his family are living the dream in a nation that they hate....and liberal minded people make that possible, not only did Canada pay him out ....but lets be clear it was our Nation that had him released from US prison early....it was our nation that refused to send him back to Afghanistan to face his crimes over there.....It was our nation that looks after his welfare family and his brothers medical bills, it was this nation that gave him 10 mil dollars....And now it is this nation that allows him to stay and enjoy the same rights and freedoms as we do....even when he took part in taking those same freedoms and rights away from the Afghan people.....This is a wonderful country is it not.....Omar does not have to much to complain about....and I don't think we Canadians should give to sweet f****s about his hardships, when our nation has done a lot worse to others and paid them squat or very little...
  3. WOW....correct me if I'm wrong because I am getting older.....but did you not say our military has to much funding....that you were happy with the way current funding is, around .9 % of GDP...I mean I could pull up your posts....If you pull up my posts there will be dozens of more sources on just how badly our current military is funded....unless you talk to the minister of MDND, or the CDS, who for some reason think we have to much funding and can not spend it all, which is true....but then again that falls on the 2 above mentioned persons, they are after all in charge of this goat rodeo. Military clothing there has always been huge shortages, because it is not funded well, not managed well, the entire purchasing system is melt down years ago, and no one has fixed it or tried to fix it....But this is just one Example , and there are dozens upon dozens.....including Major equipment....Canada has been bleeding capabilities for 20 years now, we are to the point now that we would have to seek expertise outside of Canada to gain them back, along with bils upon bils of new investment....You keep looking, there are dozens of examples, talk to some of your family members with ties to the military ASK them how they think DND is equipped.....or funded, or trained....you'll be surprised.
  4. He probably does have a problem with it, but there was dozens of other charges he could have been charged with and was not because the US wanted thatmurder charge....and yet the Canadian government did not charge him with anything....and we did not return him to Afghanistan to face any charges he committed there. According to the law he has been convicted of murder....according to the law he did do it , without a shadow of doubt.....that is how western law works right....I mean if there was doubt he would have been found innocent right....or do I have it all wrong, is Omar mounting some kind of court case for a another payday.... soldiers killing other soldiers is not murder those are inter national laws that most nations have adopted, soldiers killing anyone by mistake is not murder, soldiers killing anyone on purpose with intention that is murder.... Omar was not a soldier, he was a terrorist plain and simple... We can't do that in Canada either, we already had a case of this a known terrorist that was in Syria fighting for ISIL admitted his guilt on a media outlet....he is now going through the liberals re programing project where he gets to listen to katty langand nickel back all day and all night.....In reality Omar was a rare event, convicting someone of terrorism over seas is next to impossible, unless you catch him reds handed....If it was easy why does a lot of western nations kill their terrorist citizens....
  5. That's BS and you know it, on Ottawa university prof accused the DND of mishandling prisoners of war.....and got national and inter national access to media and all levels of government....that's one person.... The liberals live and breath polls..everything they do is based on polls...
  6. What is it you called the genocide of the kurds again ?
  7. millions of Canadians were glad Omar served time.....not just me.... weren't you one of those Canadians that stuck there heads in the sand while all of that played out, i mean what did you actually do, write to your MP, protest, drink another 6 pack.....That issue was brought to the medias attention by soldiers....not the government that was supposed to be looking after our interests or yours .....Canadians faked disgust for a few weeks then the media was on to something else that distracted Canadians ..and soldiers had to take matters into their own hands to have changes made.....not our government , nor Canadian citizens that are suppose to have our backs......just another example of how regular Canadian citizens like you eyeball failed our military once again....don't worry though soldiers are used to it...
  8. We have put all our eggs into exporting oil to the US, or at least most of them, Sure Canada could do it's own refining.....one would have to ask why does the US do most of it for us ? is it that we like selling off oil at a deflated cost, only to buy it back process at higher rates ? We need energy east , yes we do....except we can't drive a pipe line through one province, let alone drive one across the entire country....and then Quebec is got it's hands out....it won't allow one driven across Quebec unless it stops in Montreal to be process.....Our federal government has not shown the leadership required to drive a bicycle , let alone a pipe line.....Have we put any pipe in the ground for the trans mountain yet ? but we still continue to pay protestors right... This government is not interested in driving any pipe lines any where......or it would have already been done.... e need to stop all this liberal bullshit about forcing liberal values into NAFTA when they have nothing to do with TRADE.....and why can't we agree to a clause to revamp or look at this agreement every 5 years.....there is after another clause that says ANYONE can leave after giving 6 months notice.....
  9. You mean like all that NON trade related stuff the liberals insisted on putting into NAFTA, that really has nothing to do with trade between Canada and the US, that somehow the US agreed to....and we are hung up on a time limit to the agreement.
  10. either way he still served time, and still has a criminal record does he not.
  11. I think that we will find an alternative source of fuel , before we the world runs out of oil. Nuclear is very expensive to build and maintain.
  12. I agree it is far fetched , here in Canada our past politicians have won by lying their asses off, and then doing as little as possible when elected...And as Canadians we fall for it ever 4 years....has Justin kept any of his promises....i can't think of one.... Confrontation is exactly what Justin has painted himself into a corner with....does he come out smelling like roses or shit ?
  13. What if we put a dollar value behind it, similar to that behind kinder Morgan, 4 to 5 bil every year is what they estimate is lost revenues we could use here in Canada... what was northern gate way estimated to bring in each year, energy east , not to mention jobs created both long and short term. reducing the risk of accidents on the road and rail lines...brand new refineries could be built....we could produce our own fuel here in Canada instead of buying it from the states with a huge mark up.. Canadians seem to be OK with all of that, the tree huggers have made it to difficult to drive any infra structure project through ...maybe Alberta should turn the taps off to everyone....tomorrow...until we are all eager to do what every it takes to get our resources to market....
  14. Shit, if it was up to me Canada would be in the pipe line business, east west north, south, pump as much as we could...But some how we have made it so complicated to do anything here in Canada , and we don't have the leadership or will to change it.
  15. This is what is so confusing to me, the whole why...what is the liberals strategy on this, why have they chose this hill to fight on....Do you think they believe there is more votes in Alberta to be picked up than votes lost in BC ? And what about the green parties leader Elizabeth May, getting arrested, and all the rhetoric they are putting out in the media, this is the hill they plan to die on, nothing else matters...and yet we are not ready both in proven alternatives, or has technology matured enough in this nation to give up fossil fuels anytime soon.... Or maybe it is just me ?
  16. Was it really the liberals eco promises , or just the "anyone but harper campaign" that both the liberals and NDP ran...There are also rumors that new talks of energy East might resume, I've seen a few articles on it already although no one is put a name forward on who is running that challenge, and if energy east gets cranked up, Quebec will be in the same boat as BC...the liberals will soon start to bleed out votes....but will it be enough to make a difference ?
  17. I think the 4.5 Bil is just the start, and the government MAY have to invest more to get it built, experts are saying up to 12 bil in total cost to get it built....Like you mention who wants to buy a pipeline off of the federal government when there is a huge question mark of it ever getting built....If that is the case do you think the liberals will still be in favor with the rest of the nation....
  18. I'd be curious how this is playing out in Alberta, and do they think it's a bad decision ? one has to ask how is this going to effect those pipe lines already canceled , will NB pressure the government to reinstate energy east ?
  19. True enough torture sucks, even mild forms of torture he was subjected to, but the fact remains Omar was convicted by a court of law of murder and was sentenced to that crime, to which he served time in not only US federal prison, but Canadian prisons as well.
  20. http://business.financialpost.com/commodities/energy/if-ottawa-cant-sell-trans-mountain-itll-need-to-spend-billions-more-to-build-it?utm_campaign=magnet&utm_source=article_page&utm_medium=related_articles I know this is a couple days old now, surprised no one has posted anything about it yet. Did we really need to nationalize this project in order to have it move forward. Is this just some last minute attempt by the liberals to flex some muscle in order to keep the PM's words "this project will move forward regardless" instead of just forcing BC to tow the line, not Justin's style to be forceful perhaps. Is it a good decision, do we know of all the risks, i know the Government has not put anything out in the media to let us know of the risks ? or have they ? i mean who is going to buy a pipeline in Canada if we can not complete it, who is going to pay that bill to complete it , experts quote the price tag could go as high as 12 BIL Canadian beaver pelts, that's a lot of fur, even by Justin's standards....What do Canadians think about such an expenditure. how will this effect the liberals in the polls...
  21. Yes some of the evidence was inadmissible, and not used in a court of law, However in Omar case there was a pile of evidence WHICH was admissible, and DID convict him of MURDER of a US Military member, and some other crimes " those are facts not things i made up "goggle that shit" ....The fact that OMAR was held in detention and served his entire sentence and NOT released because of the convictions were seen as moot by the SCC by both sides of the border Has got to send YOU a message........or are you suggesting to me and the rest of the posters here that "anyone convicted in any makeshift legal system or kangaroo court system like some have suggested here can be sent to prison and expected to serve the sentence given.....without the US and Canadian justice system acting in ANY manner to secure his release .....How do you explain that OMAR was sent to prison and did his time.....i guess the SCC opinion is moot here is it not....it did not help Omar in any way. Under the Geneva Convention, Omar was a classified as a unlawful combatant, check the court documents, no where do they mention he was a "Child soldier"
  22. Cry me a river..... Omar was a terrorist.....As for the evidence, well did it not bring about a conviction, yes or no ?.....was that conviction upheld by the US justice system ?.....and then by the Canadian Justice system ?.....yes or no.....Some of his civil rights were violated , and he was compensated for that......with 10 mil dollars, and yet just last week the Canadian government settled with Native American's who had their civil rights violated much more than Omar and his merry band of terrorist ever did , and what was the payout again ?.....lots of justice there.
  23. There is no excuses here, it is reality, something you seem not to share with the rest of us...... every time one of our politicians opens his mouth out comes mountains of bullshit, did you listen to Justin's speech in the UN, all bullshit.....Canada is back is all bullshit..... i know it's hard to concentrate when you live 40 feet up in a tree, surrounded by loggers and chainsaws....but just this time....join us in our universe...
  24. NO this was not the case with Omar, Omar was a terrorist plain and simple. Only Omar there was proof, here there is not...don't get me wrong this guy is guilty as shit as well but how does one prove that. Omar was pulled off the battle field....kind of hard to claim he was not a terrorist... Omar case in one in million, where there was follow up and evidence gathered, it is next to impossible to do all those things in a combat zone....and rarely happens.... Correct me if i am wrong but Omar was tried and convicted of murder was he not ? on the outset there may of been some doubt as to whether he kill the medic, but he was guilty as shit of being part of a terrorist group, being a terrorist, taking part in gathering intel on a coalition partner, planting IED's, picking up a firearm and participating in combat, while being a non combatant...that they got from Omars home made combat porn tape..... the list goers on, most of those charges were dropped in favor of the murder charge, which the final results were respected in the US and Canada despite what Canadian justice figures claim was a kangaroo court....he remained in jail.... Just a off topic question, those Native Americans Indians snatch up and put into foster homes, sent away to far away schools....what did they get for there rights being violated....was it 10 million....
  25. Charged with what, nobody can prove anything....this guy is innocent until proven guilty in a Canadian court, what about an Iraqi court where his crimes were committed ? .........and according to the liberal government it would be barbaric to hunt him down in Syria and kill his ass while he was learning what ISIS life was all about.....So we are left with these scumbags walking our streets, i wonder what does this do to islamophobia in Canada.
