Obama has given the internet to the UN. It no longer is controlled by a country with the first amendment. This is extremely concerning. Unfortunately, Trump being an idiot buffoon has taken away basically all media attention from this important issue.

Oh wonderful from your article: 'government representatives', 'public interest organizations' will 'advise' on what to do. They will vote and 'governments will have more authority in ICANN than they do currently'. You don't think that they will use their influence to try to get things banned that they disagree with?

Given that countries like Saudi Arabia think that human rights include the right to not be offended and for your religion to never be criticized, expect increased 'human rights' online thanks to this change.

Still has nothing to do with the American 1st Amendment. Even the Canada has more speech restrictions.
