This has bugged me for a long time, I don't understand the logic here. -
What do we know of him? Who cares? The man is entitled to his opinion. Why do you people get so hot and lathered about him and his opinion? Should he just shut the hell up?
-
Well, I happen to like McDonalds now and again. I sure hope McDonalds survives this "hit" piece unscathed. I sure do hate those people from that Goodless, urbane and cosmopolitan city! They should just shut it. Toronto... Blech!!!!

I wasn't referring to you in particular Michael.
-
Point being... if you look you can always find someone to help address your concerns. Or, I suppose, you could complain about it on the internet.

The kids a bitch, I won't miss him.

Dr. M. Shandling Sr. VP Medical @ Mt. Sinai... bet she'd be interested or get you on to someone that was.

Which hospital? I've been treated at a few but mostly go to LakeRidge Health http://www.lakeridgehealth.on.ca/article.php?id=9TL-14C&navID=listMenuRootH http://www.ombudsman.on.ca/Home.aspx http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/ministry/minister.aspx

Agreed, I've been hurt seriously (Compartment Syndrom due to a crush injury, compound spiral fracture etc..)a few times, I've never wanted for excellent care, was seen immediately and treated immediately which included surgerys for both the aforementioned issues. Having said that, if someone had come in with a heart attack or something life threatening, they should be seen before me, regardless if I were to have more money than them.

It's tiring hearing people complain about a system that is pretty excellent. Could it be better? Sure, every system can be improved. But to complain incessantly like many on this board do, it's incredible. Angus lost his health card, ok, fix it, it's not the healthcare systems fault. It's really not that hard. He had a family memeber that was lost, I can understand the pain involved, but to blame the healthcare system for it??? My point, and I stand by it, if you have such an issue with our system, go find a better one, but leave ours for those that realize how incredibly lucky we are, and don't plot about gutting or making it all about how much more profit for those that are already leagues above most of the population. It's about healthcare, not profit. Can we make it more efficient... absolutely, lets focus on that. (Edited to add: I really don't mean to sound insensitive Angus, I do hope you don't feel as though I am being so)

And? He also made a choice to serve in the military, good for him if that is what he wished to do... it doesn't make him any more special than any one else in my opinion, regardless if they have been in the military or not. And while I didn't serve in any capacity, I do have 2 daughters who are both currently officers in the military (Army and Navy) and a son who wishes to follow his big sister in to the Army. They were brought up right, are extremely responsible and functioning members of our great society, so I suppose that is my contribution. Plus I'm nice to old ladies.

I'm suggesting that since our system is so terrible, perhaps that one that he had where ever he came from is better.
-
Read his post again. Nothing smarmy about my response at all.

And you would have been wrong.. again. Please point out what is "dumb" about it.

HOLY!! When was evolution proven wrong?? How did I miss that?????

Boy... What a horrible story this is. I've had my wallet stolen or lost a few time over the years (in fact once it was stolen right out of our hotel room in FL while we were sleeping!) and I have to say that although I was born here which may simplify things a bit, I've NEVER had a hard time replacing any piece of ID. And as far as your mother goes, thats a sad story and I am very sorry for your loss. Haaving said that, perhaps things would be easier for you, getting ID, better health care etc... if you went back to where ever it was that you came from?
-
Hahaha. Nice. Arrrrrrrrrr. Post that batch to thee ol' GL! Arrrrrrr.
-
This is just incorrect. Why am I not surprised that you got it wrong though? Do you know any actual Muslims? Have you ever actually talked to one? You may want to give it a go.

What was wrong with their housing choice?
-
LOL... Which party Leader are you referring to again?

Sad news indeed. Thoughts to Olivia and family. This should shake Ottawa up pretty good as well. It will be interesting how things turn and what impact this will have on the NDP and the political landscape as it now stands.

G_Bambino... the police actions against people people protesting in a number of so called protest zones and agreed to areas is indefenceabale. Their demeanor and nothing short of violent actions are as well. Yes, tere were some arseholes that took advantage and commited crimes, with the amount of survelience and undercover officers mingling with the crown I would think it would have been simple for them to isolate and identify many who were doing that. The protester excercising ther right to peaceful protest, and the kettling and arrest (for no reason) of those people was an egregious violation of their rights was disgusting. I'm at a lose as to how you can defend the actions of the police, and I also feel that there is a concerted effort by the authorities, from the police right up to the PMO that is purposefully avoiding an inquiry because they know it too.
