  1. Doesn't make a difference, but well, YOU are the one making assumptions, not I. Here you. He was told about the place, and never went back. The end. Based on the FACTS that are know, including the police notes, I have no reason to believe otherwise. If you or anyone has FACTS that's say otherwise, present them. "He must have known", "he should have known" and "it's in Chinatown" do not qualify as relevant facts.
  2. You knew he was biking around Chinatown, instead of just going directly there? My my my, you know a lot. BTW, you'll notice that he left the moment he was told by police about their suspicions, and never came back. Oh well, we should not let known facts get in the way of idle speculations.
  3. But I want you to be upset. And to keep on with this non-story. Detracts you big time from how the big bad Laytonists are gonna take over the country, eat your children and converts everyone into midless communist robots. MWAAAHAAAHAAAHAAA
  4. Correction, you are making fools of yourselves.
  5. And how many people do you know would be able to bike in a straight line right after getting ahem assisted by a prostitute? How many people do you know would be biking to go visit a prostitute?
  6. No surprise that you are perplexed at the point I am making, that I have made all along. The police didn't see anything wrong or illegal in whatLayton was doing. Idle speculations borne of nothing more than dislike for the man's policies is quite frankly pathetic. That's my point.
  7. It is indeed, smug and arrogant to make fun of an incredibly stupid line of thought. Well, I am also proud of the fact that I am so smug and arrogant that also laugh at claims that 911 was an insde job and that the Earth is flat. I guess it is better to keep demanding "the proof", then asking again for "the proof" when it has been provided yet once again. Has this stupid question been answered to your satisfaction? How many proeminent TV or radio commentator has argued, again and again and again, that 911 was an inside job? How many "celebrities" were publicly musing about running for President in 2004 while saying "911 was an inside job"? How many state or federal politician have demanded that Bush come clean about 911?
  8. Good point Turn a camera towards a crowd and most anyone who sees it will do anything to be noticed. Not that bright, but a reflection on a person's overall character or fitness for public office? Pleeeeeeaaaase.
  9. What a reliable source was have here. He claims in one sentence there were no complaint, and in the other that everyone new this was a bawdy house. Nice to know the citizens of Toronto didn't complain.
  10. Are you telling me that the Sun, the Globe and Mail, the National Post are not left-wing? Aaargh
  11. Then why wasting time on irrelevant unimportant trivial issues? The NDP's economic policies are not bad enough to be the target?
  12. Numbers in Nanos are not substantially different today that they were five days ago. I don't think one can conclude that there is either a narrowing or widening of the gap. Vote wise? The one thing that the Conservatives need to win, a split of the vote between Liberals and NDP, will occur, but I doubt it will give enough extra seats to the Conservatives. They probably need about 75 Ontario seats, I think they'll get about 60.
  13. Oh well, he is a politician. The thing is still a non-story, but please keep making more and more a fool of yourself which each now posting about it.
  14. Most people are actually either laughing at how rabid anti-NDPers are latching on this non-issue or turning away in disgust at the non-sense.
  15. On the contrary. Many media other than the SUN have blasted the SUN over this (while re-posting the story ). I have seen comments of people who said they were considering voting NDP as a result of this, but very few, if any, from people who said they had considered voting NDP but would now vote for another party. Neither the Conservatives nor the Liberal are that stupid.
  16. And you were just elected worldwide President of the Barack Obama fan club.
  17. Indeed, it is not rocket science to conclude that there is something more to a story when the POLICE concluded there was nothing more to the story. It's complete non-sense.
  18. Helping the "poor" rich is not alleviating poverty. Cutting into social programs after program is not either. . I would find that mindless too, if that was actually happened. And put it anyway you, when a young man is arrested on nothing more of a suspicion that he is of the wrong skin colour at the wrong time in the wrong part of town in the wrong car, it is mindless. Fortunately enough, there is less and less of that. I have been following politics since before Broadbent, and the non-sense about the NDP being about taking rights away is quite frankly, ridiculous. Same with the "taking jobs away from me" bit. As for being against middle class people on the economic front. It is not the CONSERVATIVES who are proposing tax cuts for small businesses for creating jobs. Now is it? Are you admitting that the Conservative know that they cannot give the biggest corporations tax breaks that will not result in more jobs, waste money by spending more than needed on airplanes, and at the same time balance the budget? The LIARS
  19. And when I thought the whole thing couldn't sink lower towards the status of a flea circus. Stop the presses, man the barricades, let's protect Canada against the Russkie hordes. The second coming of Joseph Statilne said the non-event took place at a... community clic. The horror.
  20. Why? I am white, and middle class. And I do not have a problem with policies that alleviate the worst effects of poverty. I don't have a problem with policing that does not include mindless racial profiling. I do not have a problem with anti-discrimination policies (job quotas are another thing, but I don't see those in the platform of any party). The Republican Party in the US is viewed has being hostile to gays. I do not see anything hostile to me as a white middle-class man in the NDP platform (and I happen to believe that their economic platform, in case you want to raise that one, is as full of non-sense as that of the Conservatives).
  21. So, there's an issue because... your hatred of anything he stands for means you'll use anything and everything against him, no matter or trivial or unimportant it is in the eyes of most people, including quite a few people who wouldn't vote for him as a dog catcher?
  22. Layton was not exactly a genius on that occasion. But I put this in the same category as the whinning by some a few months back that Harper was about to have a cameo in a TV series (as a cop who doesn't recognize PM Laurier on the street ). Let's be srious and get to the real issues, shall we?
