And the answer has been provided. In police notes. Feel free to offer something other than the innuendos and assumptions, and real facts about what actually happened that night. -

Questions about his political views are entirely legitimate, and relevant, especially the sudden surge in support for him. Those who are waisting their time with a smear campaign based on assumptions and innuendos should be concentrating on these real issues instead, don't you agree? -

Let's distinguish apples and oranges here. Should a politician who have throughout his career and very publicly denounced to all four corners the evils of prostitions, human trafficking and organized crime be found to have negaged in these activities as a knwoing and willing client, I would not be asking how it will affect his position as PM/Minister/MP. I would DEMAND his IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION. Period. That was the apple. Now to the orange. When a politician publicly declares that his religious beliefs are central to his policies, when he openly courts the vote of people with the same religious beliefs, and when of his expressed views conflicts with science, it is legitimate to ascertain how this would impact his decisions should he have to make decisions on science-related matters. In the case of Stockwell Day, he made his religious views a well known important part of his political philosphy throughout his career. That made those beliefs that may have had an impact on his decisions as an elected public officials subject for political scrutiny. Not the overblown ridicule of the 2000 campaign, but scrutiny. Had he chosen to keep his religious views as a private matter, that would have been a private matter. -

I wouldn't expect a business closed 15 years ago on a list of businesses existing right now either. Plenty of legitimate and illegitimate business have come and cgone since. This proves or disproves nothing. -

And you know he knew because? Anything in the FACTS that are KNOWN lend to that conclusion? So far, I see nothing but innuendos and assumptions. -
Voter intelligence is being insulted again

AI want the best equipemtn for our soldiers. What I don't want is money wasted paying more for the best equipment than what it's worth. The Conservatives are reckless in that regard, and will not come straight. -
And nobody is mentioning that as well. We are still talking about an unwarrented spying on individuals, without the proper scrutiny that comes with the need to get a warrant.

Questioning whether or not his beliefs would have interfered with his responsibilities in a science related portfolio is legitimate. He was a fairly competent minister. None of his ministires has anything to do with science. -

This is what we've got from the people who stand to form the Government following the election. Unless they plan to change, and from what Harper said, they won't, this will be our future as well. -

Stiffling scientific development and research would be harmful to economic development. When a politician seeking higher office has views that are opposed to science (and I am not talking about belonging to a chruch, I am talking about beliefs about the history and age of this planet that run contrary to science). it is entirely justifiable to inquire as to how this would affect policies promoted by that individuals. In the United States, for example, and to a lesser extent here, politicians have actively promoted the teaching of pseudo-science (Creationism) alongside and to the detriment of science. -

Well. It is not. But getting sexual favours is. And as kimmy won't say, that's why he was there. -
He has. so why is it that you are not after the birthers for constantly bringing the issue to the forefront. And how exactly should he respond, pray tell. By not dignifying the whole stupity with an answer? He tried, didn't work. By producing documents that proves he is born American? He tried, didn't work. You know full well that there is nothing that will stop this because the idiots won't ever be satisfied with any answer. And you will not be satisfied with any answer. Because Barack Obama can never do anything right in your eyes. Should he resign at this very second, you'd most likely complain and argue he should stay in power just so you can dislike him even more. So do yourself a favour and drop the "it's Obama's fault". At least the birthers are entertaining. You're not.

Indeed they are. He went there for a massage, was too naive to realize that it may have been used for other purposes, there was a police raid, and they let him go. THESE are the facts. He knew the place. That's a fact. He knew it was bawdy house. That's assumption. And then we have this. Your claim is clear that at a minimum he knew this was a bawdy house. People go in those places go there for one think, and it is not a therapeutic massage. Let's drop the charade, shall we? -

I won't comment on Harper. But Day believe in that non-scientific proposition that the Earth is a few thousands year old at best and that dinosaurs roamed the Earth with Noah. And there was reason to believe that it would influence his views on what role government should play in regards to science. That, unlike layton not having the sense to realize that there was possibly something illegal taking place where he got his massage, is relevant in evaluating those who seek to lead this country. -

As demonstrated by your coming back again and again with the same insinuations and innuendos. and quite a few who wouldn't vote NDP if it was the only party left on the ballot. The desperation is yours. Me, I am just having a blast. -

He is not my hero, not one bit. Actually, his constant grin tends to slightly irritate me. And quite frankly, there is something a bit funny about someone going for a massage and ending up in the middle of raid. But not as funny as the desperate attempts by people who do not like him to make innuendos after baseless assumptions. I have no hunch about it. The KNOWN FACT include the FACT he had an appointment. Which is what the use of assumptions that he was there for sexual gratification (and I do not believe for one second this is not what you are trying to push) are such a joke. -

Leading to an interesting point here. Olivia Chow is of Chinese origin. She is aware of the reputation Chinatown has, and of what may happen in certain seedy places. So it could be argued that she should have warned her husband in advance as to what signs of trouble to look for. On the other hand. I hardly doubt that she would stand by him if he had been there for sexual favours and was now being subjected to this kind of humiliation. What I know of her tells me that she would be more likely to shred him to pieces. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is an assumption. -

Sooo, you admit he didn't know. (and yes, I'm making fun of you) I have said all long that the facts as known indicate he wasn't careful enough (naive is word I can go with). And that's it. Nothing else to see folks, end of story. Good enough for a few cartoons, now let's go back to real issue and serious stuff. -

I was making fun of you. Sorry, next time, I'll notify you in advance. No, it's not a difference of opinion. It's you and others making assumptions and innuendos and me and others sticking to the KNOWN REPORTED FACTS. As I said before, provide evidence. You know, the kind of things that journalists who sit on this non-story for two years didn't find. Becuase if they had found it, we would know by now. -
Isn't the President supposed to answer every question TO YOUR SATISFACTION? Your own words. You should tell the birthers to give it a rest. It is them who keep pushing the issue time and time again. BTW: has he answered the question to YOUR satisfaction?
-
Not true one bit. There is a treshold below which a party does not get official status (with the corresponding research budget, share of questions at question period, share of committee seats)

Thanks for confirming that the two cops were utterly incompetant in not arresting Layton on the spot. After all, they knew that he knew, but nothing of that appeared in their notes. -

I'll just hang my hat on the police report. Also known as the KNOWN FACTS on what took place in that location at that time.
