  1. THE UN AND THE EU ARE SO ANTI ISRAEL!!!1111
  2. life experiences include: The researchers found that people with lower intelligence also tended to have less contact with other races and groups, which, Dr. Hodson said, supports previous research that determined interacting with other groups is mentally challenging and cognitively draining. at the same time, dr. hodson adds: Dr. Hodson explained the findings do not mean all liberals are smart and all conservatives are stupid, LiveScience.com reports. “There are multiple examples of very bright conservatives and not-so-bright liberals, and many examples of very principled conservatives and very intolerant liberals,” he said. however, despite that, overall, the different researches have shown that the so-called right wingers are less intelligent which results in being less tolerant, and more prone to racism.
  3. are you calling b'nai brith a lefty group that uses and abuses the human rights commission and tries to silence free speech? B’nai Brith intervened in two recent human rights decisions that demonstrated the ability of human rights law to offer an effective remedy to hate speech on the Internet and in the press. In January 2002 the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal released its long awaited decision in regard to Ernst Zundel. In that case, complaints were made with regard to Zundel’s use of the Internet to spread hatred. His website, called the Zundelsite, had gained notoriety as a purveyor of antisemitic Holocaust denial materials. A second important human rights tribunal decision, issued in November 2001, concerns the complaint of Harry Abrams against Doug Collins and the Vancouver area North Shore News. Mr. Abrams is the British Columbia representative of B’nai Brith Canada’s League for Human Rights. Originally the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal had ordered, at the request of Mr. Collins and the North Shore News, that the fault (i.e., whether the columns breach the B.C. Human Rights Code) and Constitutional issues be separated. In February, l999 the Tribunal upheld Mr. Abrams’ complaints against four columns written by Doug Collins and published by the North Shore News. It ordered that a summary of its decision be published and that a fine be paid.
  4. did you get your information from research and do you have anything to back it up with or are you just voicing a personal opinion?
  5. Researchers have found a possible explanation for why certain people are prejudiced: they’re less intelligent. Children with lower general intelligence are more likely to become prejudiced as adults, according to a Brock University study. The study, published in the journal Psychological Science, examined data from two large-scale British studies, and found lower intelligence scores in childhood were predictors of greater racism in adulthood, which the researchers controversially explain is brought about by adopting right-wing ideologies. link it's not just the british studies that came to this conclusion: A secondary analysis of data from a U.S. study also showed those with poor abstract-reasoning skills were more likely to have anti-homosexual prejudice, partially linked to authoritarian attitudes. Lead researcher Gordon Hodson told LiveScience that the results of the study indicate a vicious cycle, in which people with low intelligence are drawn to socially conservative ideologies. In turn, those ideologies can contribute to prejudices. link the research also confirms another obvious: The researchers found that people with lower intelligence also tended to have less contact with other races and groups, which, Dr. Hodson said, supports previous research that determined interacting with other groups is mentally challenging and cognitively draining.
  6. once again, you failed to backup another false claim. since you can't find any country where honour killing is legal, you have no point, right?
  7. the GOP pack, excluding ron paul, cannot go toe to toe against obama in debates. ron paul is the only one who has a chance against the juggernaut that is obama. his message is sincere and true. just look at how foolish santorum looks when he tries to go against the truth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi12aVa3psc
  8. plus, obama will receive a lot more money from lobbyists. either way, both obama and romney will be just fine for the establishment and lobby groups.
  9. that makes perfect sense, wild bill. because sabre rattling over the straights of hormuz is like the genocide in rwanda. they're soooooooo crazy by threatening to close the path after being heavily sanctioned and being told every day by two nuclear powers that 'every option is on the table' in regards to an attack. omg.. those crazy crazy people! not sure how you formulate your thoughts, but it's kind of funny.
  10. honour killing is murder and the penalty should reflect that. at the same time, the acceptance and practice by some cultures and sub-cultures should be discussed and dissected. however, to make this another 'muslim' issue is nothing more than becoming a mouthpiece for the anti-muslim agenda. trying to paint a whole group of people (muslims) is as ridiculous as saying catholics are pedophiles and child rapists because some priests engage in raping children.
  11. i did a quick search and couldn't find countries where honour killing is legal. could you point to which countries honour killing is legal?
  12. i'm reading more into this particular story and organ harvesting in general and i have to admit, that the title of the article is sensationalized and i will have to change the title of the thread since it's misleading. there is evidence that organs were harvested from not just palestinians, but israelis as well to be used both for transplanting and for medical tests/research. these palestinian and israeli organs were used without the consent of their family and of course, illegally. but there isn't enough evidence to show that dead palestinians are frequently targeted for their organs and that the israeli government is behind it. from the information i've seen, it's quite possible that it is only individuals, who are out to make money, may be behind the reported cases.
  13. fact remains that organ theft in israel has been documented and a person who was partly responsible for it and had admitted was removed from his job by the israeli government (only to be re-instated a few years later). n December 2009, Nancy Scheper-Hughes, an anthropology professor at the University of California at Berkeley and founder of a newsletter called "Organs Watch", released the tape of an interview she had conducted in 2000 with Yehuda Hiss, then director of Israel's L. Greenberg Institute of Forensic Medicine (known colloquially as the "Abu Kabir" Forensic Institute). In the interview, which appeared on Israel's Channel 2 television, Hiss stated that he had harvested organs in the 1990s. "We started to harvest corneas ... Whatever was done was highly informal. No permission was asked from the family."[70] Hiss was fired from his position as director of the forensic institute in 2004 for "repeated body-part scandals”.[71] Hiss was later reinstated and still retains the director's position.[72] Israeli officials acknowledged that incidents like that had taken place Scheper-Hughes said the organ harvesting took place with the "sanction and approval" of the military establishment and that the "body parts were used by hospitals for transplant purposes - cornea transplants. They were sent to public hospitals [for use on citizens].. and the skin went to a special skin bank, founded by the military, for their uses", such as for burns victims. link
  14. then of course, there was this: A two-year corruption and international money-laundering investigation stretching from the Jersey Shore to Brooklyn to Israel and Switzerland culminated in charges against 44 people on Thursday, including three New Jersey Mayors, two state assemblymen and five rabbis, the authorities said link one of the rabbis, an israeli, will be sentenced today.
  15. a huge industry. this isn't just a big industry in israel. it's thriving in china, south america and even in south africa: South African hospital firm admits 'cash for kidney' transplants South Africa's biggest private hospital group has admitted receiving R3.8m (£342,000) from an illegal organ trafficking syndicate in a scam that included the removal of kidneys from five children. Netcare, which also runs hospitals in Britain, took part in an international scam that allegedly saw poor Brazilians and Romanians paid $6,000 (£3,840) for their kidneys to be transplanted to wealthy Israelis. link this story involves israelis as well. South Africa's biggest private hospital group has admitted receiving R3.8m (£342,000) from an illegal organ trafficking syndicate in a scam that included the removal of kidneys from five children. Netcare, which also runs hospitals in Britain, took part in an international scam that allegedly saw poor Brazilians and Romanians paid $6,000 (£3,840) for their kidneys to be transplanted to wealthy Israelis.
  16. *updated* the article below is sensationalized and is misleading. Israel has admitted to unlawfully taking organs from dead people, including Palestinians, in the 1990s without the prior permission of the families of the donors. The revelation comes in a newly-released interview by the former head of the country's Forensic Institute, given in 2000, and has been confirmed by the Health Ministry of Israel. The initial investigation was flatly denied by Israel and branded anti-Semitic. “I have a computer list containing 133 Palestinians murdered by Israelis without trial,” says Swedish journalist Donald Bostrom, “And out of those there were 59 taken to Israel against international law and the autopsies performed on them against international law.” While Donald Bostrom says further investigation is necessary, Raanan Gissin, a former adviser to Ariel Sharon in 2001-2006, says the reports have gone completely over the top. link the black market organ transplant industry is a highly lucrative industry. a kidney transplant can go for as much as $60,000 and a heart for over $120,000.
  17. eh? the hostages were kept in iran, in exchange for arms sales by reagan's men. this was done to damage carter in the elections. how low can these people get, to prolong the release of the hostage just so they can damage someone politically? i mean, you didn't know about his or you just prefer to live in a world full of spins and half-truths?
  18. do tell. what do ted haggard and larry craig say?
  19. now you're saying that criticism is only qualified if there is a boycott. you sure have a lot of rules set in place. hey, i'm a canadian who will continue to criticize the u.s. and might even drive to seattle to take advantage of cheaper flights. the big dog's only reason for backing israel is because the backing is bought. the big dog will sacrifice the security of its own people in order to back some other country. being a true patriot, you're A OK with that. woof woof.
  20. you still don't get it. why do you get so hot and bothered when u.s. is criticized? no need to take it so personally. reality and google say that american support for israel increases threats on americanssts. what kind of an american patriot are you to pick israel over your own country? not a very good one it looks like.
  21. you obviously don't get it. because my dislike is for any policy from any country that creates injustice. kind of like israel's policy on palestinians and america's "bought" support for it. you sound like an ignorant evangelical who has been brainwashed into thinking that support for israel's policy helps americans when in fact, it doesn't.
  22. for a guy who gets so hot and bothered from comments about your country that is coming from someone who isn't american, it's quite funny seeing you embracing the foreign influence on your government.
  23. the gay community took the funny road. what they did is quite funny since the person they're targeting has no shame in comparing them to subhumans.
