  1. That link is certainly meaningless at face value. I just read through it, and will look at the actual study linked within your link in a moment, but it gives a very general overview and admits that math and science were secondary, with "reading" being most focused on part of this comparison. Bear in mind that reading is distinct from comprehension and application. We'll go into this in further detail later. Looks like bullshit window dressing from here.
  2. There we go - meaningless.
  3. Somehow Bernie Madoff's outright theft and lies is being compared to Steve Jobs'/Apple's business practises? The laughs keep on coming with Sir Bandelot. Keep on hating, stay committed to your leftism.
  4. I don't believe a word David Cameron says, so I completely ignored that idiot's recent address. Let me see some statistics, and then we'll go from there.
  5. Don't be so sensitive, my entire family is from Eastern Europe. Doesn't mean those countries aren't pathetic, with pathetic economies and social systems. Why do you think our families left for greener pastures? And yet their children still outperform our kids on standardized tests. And it sure as hell ain't genetics (unless of course we're talking about the Jewish populations from Eastern Europe, who are certainly genetically gifted with respect to IQ, broadly speaking). The bottom line? All the bullshit we hear from the unions as excuses for their underperformed is... well, bullshit. "Lower class sizes", "don't teach to the test", "we need more vacation", "kids need more social education and guidance counselors", "we need plasma TVs to teach via DVD so I can mark tests during class time", "we need new $150 text books every year", etc, etc, etc... while 45-kid classrooms in Krakow where little Pavel learns while living off of potato and squirrel salad made by his disabled war veteran grandmother is better as calculus than Johnny who spends all of his free time playing Xbox.
  6. I forget the name of the OECD department dedicated to tracking educational trends, but who cares about their statistics? I want to see domestic statistics, graduation rates compared over time, university/college enrollment rates compared over time, and grades/GPAs compared over time. Although much more difficult to examine given the pervasiveness of leftism, we also need to examine the curriculum and see if the expectations are being raised or lowered on the basics (math, language, etc). It seems to me that the standards have not been increased in some time, and I've seen a lot of data that showing children from pathetic countries (i.e. Romania, Poland) outperforming Canadian children on standardized tests in math and science.
  7. The point is that the Insite project will continue to grow, and now we'll begin to see this crap pop up all around the country, coming soon to a neighbourhood near you. Don't you get that?
  8. We've already discussed the shitty Apple business practises, primarily regarding Apple's obsession with using proprietary hardware and forcing its customers, as often as is possible, to buy Apple-compatible hardware. We discussed that before you came in here. None of us are Apple fanboys, either. For the tenth time, we're simply discussing an interesting man of great success who was gifted in several ways. Doesn't mean we give a damn about him. Anyways, I've already had my laughs with you... it's time to move on.
  9. No barn animals in here. We don't give a damn about Steve Jobs. I know I certainly won't shed a tear over his death, let alone experience an ounce of sadness. As has been said, he was an interesting and important man in his time, and he's worth talking about. And again, you continue to reveal your own pathetic and covetous leftist nature, where all successful people were ruthless to get where they were. In your mind, one cannot be successful and moral at the same time. Keep on throwing around bullshit about Steve Jobs "stealing his success" while you stay angry cleaning urine spills in the hospital.
  10. Since when is a gap in wealth an issue that needs intervention from the government in a free society?
  11. Well, you can be charitable with other people's money and pretend to be some sort of political Robin Hood, and then you get sickeningly lionized in death. See Exhibit A - Jack Layton.
  12. You and I are on the same page, here. It's funny seeing Sir Bandelot have an online hissy fit while he rants about the "little people" according to his bullshit humanistic worldview. I mean, we're all equal, right? Why aren't we profiling all the kids that died in Somalia today from starvation, malaria, and HIV/AIDS? I mean, they're people too, right? Damn Anderson Cooper for not acknowledging their humanity.
  13. I'd buy a piece of Steve Jobs and sell it on eBay if I could make some money doing it.
  14. Hahahaha your feigned moral outrage is beautiful. As if anybody in here should give a damn about Steve Jobs. First we're kissing his ass, and now we're not being sensitive enough about his death? Make up your mind, are we pathetic Apple fanboys who idolize Jobs as a titan of industry, or we cold and calculating conservatives with so little compassion as to be talking about how Apple will perform going forward without Jobs? I guess you'll make up whatever bullshit you feel like as long as you can try to insult us.
  15. Sir Bandelot wants AC360 to profile John and Jane Doe from palliative care room #3. I mean, they're humans too, why don't they have death groupies lining up to worship at their altars?
  16. I'm with Michael Hardner on this one, Hudak is a dud and should resign. He was so pathetically weak. I was embarrassed to watch him in the "debate". Just rhetoric and no specifics, and he doesn't even have his details and facts straight. Conservatism is dead in Ontario, and has been for a long time. He could've shredded McGuinty on so many blatant examples of corruption masquerading as a public service, from the "E-Health" crapola to the disgusting identity politics with the ten thousand dollar per "new Canadian" bribe. From the endless lies about shortening wait times, these imaginary world class public schools, to Ontario creating more jobs than all of the USA in a month. The icing on the cake? McGuinty aspires to govern Ontario as California was governed by Schwarzenegger and his predecessor Davis.
  17. Who said he's a great guy? We're making jokes about him being cremated and buried in an iPod Nano. I don't give a damn about Jobs, but I respect his business acumen and sense for his market.
  18. And Jobs made a lot more people happy than the people he sees dying from cancer. I hate these pathetic and fake online events of moral outrage from these leftists, who act like everyone in this world is equal in every single way. Personally, I think the media is spending way too much time talking about Steve Jobs' death and they're lionizing him in weird and creepy ways, but it's be an even bigger waste of time if they profiled from random schmuck that died from cancer that Sir Bandelot made eye contact with in the palliative care ward when he was going to service room #3 to get the bucket and mop.
  19. In case you hadn't noticed, we're not lining up here to worship at the altar of Steve Jobs. He's an interesting character and he had certain fantastic gifts that assisted him greatly in achieving great success in his life, particularly with Apple. Before you came in here, other much more familiar with Jobs' and Apple's history had already commented on real things about him and Apple, from his talents to his unsavoury business practices. But then you come marching in with the usual anti-success bullshit leftist rhetoric, spouting off about this or that crap that you saw from a bunch of likeminded resentful leftists on some PBS "documentary". It's already been said, the human story of progress is one of innovation built on previous innovations. And of course, the leftist hater in you characterizes this as "theft", because you can't help but hate success and the creation of wealth. It's in your political DNA to hate people like Jobs, we understand. Me personally, I don't give a damn about Steve Jobs or Apple, and I think it's hilarious that people are literally paying homage to this man by placing apples in front of Apple stores and lionizing him for hours on the mainstream media and making absurd comparisons between him and Thomas Edison. I do, however, find him an interesting individual, as well as the story of Apple, from a business perspective. But I'm certainly not in your camp, the reflexive anti-success leftist who thinks there's no such thing as an honestly-earned dollar.
  20. Well, we can't argue with what you think you saw on PBS, now can we? I mean, if some loser "expert" (i.e. journalist who knows nothing) on a PBS "documentary" throws around allegations of the "theft" of ideas, then that's that? All innovation is built on previous innovations, it's the story of human progress. Apple certainly continues to engage in annoying (unethical?) business practises, but hey, we've already addressed that - and that isn't theft. Suggesting that Jobs' success was built on "theft" is ludicrous. It's just stupid rhetoric from an envious leftist who resents achievement and the creation of wealth.
  21. Jacee, we've seen the same anti-Semitic bullshit from you. Hardcore leftism, which you a caricature of, goes hand-in-hand with anti-Semitism. You couldn't even point out Israel, let alone Jerusalem, on a map, yet you confidently speak of "occupied territories" and "international law" and "evil Zionism". As a leftist, you instinctively know that up is down, left is right, red is green, and that Israel is a mistake that must be undone. You know the drill, ans we've seen people like yourself a million times over. The scary thing is that you're completely oblivious to your own anti-Semitism. The best thing you could do would be to get a meaningful education or set of skills and get some real employment. That would fix about 90% of what's wrong with you. Fill out a tax return for once in your life before ranting and raving about a tax system that you claim allows "the rich" to not only pay no money in taxes (sales, tariffs, service charges, or income?), but also to apparently receive the most "welfare".
  22. All you need to do is watch YouTube videos of the protests. It's just endless examples of idiots leftists complaining about greedy and evil corporations crushing the "working man", calling for socialism, communism, redistribution of wealth, etc. Nose rings, dread locks, tattoos, oversized jeans and ripped plaid jackets, the usual trash. Basically, jacee's compatriots. These are people who are consumed with envy of and resentment towards people who actually make a living and provide value to society. It's typical and you see it everywhere. There's nothing unique about these pathetic losers looking for an excuse to get high and feel like they're a part of something "meaningful" in order to fill the holes in their empty lives. Aside from the fact that this video is associated with one of the biggest idiots ever, Alex Jones, and the commentary is clearly contrary to the video actually being showed, it's worth a watch just to give you a taste of the disgusting communism that is rampant among these "protestors". They don't know what communism is, apparently, and the one girl doesn't even know how to pronounce "economist", but they do know one thing - life is unfair and the rich people need to be dealt with.
  23. Another example of the common association between leftist "Wall Street occupiers" and anti-Semitism. Remember, "bankers" is often code language for Jews (we're the evil and greedy money-changers, doncha know?). Here we got some moron with a sign demanding that people go to Google to see "Wall Street Jews" and "Jewish billionaires". Again, typical envious, pathetic, unemployed, uneducated trash demanding something for nothing. Since many people are aware that Jews tend to outperform all other groups academically, professionally, and financially, Jewish people have become an icon of resentment among the pathetic loser left (i.e. jacee). We represent everything they hate. In reality, hatred from these rats should be worn as a badge of honour.
  24. Are you serious? I love this moronic and robotic refrain from the leftists. "Cite"! "Proof"! "Link"! For heaven's sakes, watch the videos. Is it hard for you to go to YouTube and see this filth? You live in this bubble where if the CBC didn't report on it, then it didn't happen. This took about two seconds to find, I actually heard it while listening to American talk radio yesterday. This is typical leftism. This is the jacee-type - uneducated, stupid, envious, communistic, ugly, and pathetic.
  25. There are much more important "public health issues" to deal with that deserve the money spent on Insite much more than drug users being given a nice place to get high with air conditioning and pins and tubes with a dedicated team of paramedics to save them when they ride on the wild side. Of course there is widespread local rejection to Insite. Nobody with any sense wants a congregation point for such trash in their neighbourhood. Just because the CBC doesn't show it to you doesn't mean it isn't there.
