  1. The thing is that this "sensitivity" memo is the tip of the iceberg. As you've mentioned, although few people know this, the government (all levels) actually run "multiculturalism workshops" (indoctrination-education) in order to a> waste money on something posing as a valuable cultural development endeavor, and b> sell people on lies about another culture in order to promote the suicidal ideology of "multiculturalism". If someone wants to learn about another culture, go do it yourself. Muslims don't need special moves to be made to accommodate them. And if they need special accommodations, they should be looking for another job. Everyone should be the same. If you have religious obligations that prevent you from being able to work - you quit. If you have issues being around food during your Ramadan fast, get over it or quit. If you. Designating special prayer rooms for Muslims in schools and public offices? Are you kidding me? We would never allow everyone to be taking extra breaks every day to pray, so why are you allowing Muslims to do so? Why is there a need to "avoid conflict"? Why would Muslim religious practises at work cause conflict in the first place, pray tell?
  2. Oh, I get it. Would you have preferred if I had used the names Justin and Shelly for my hypothetical Muslim Ontario public service employees in place of Abdul and Fatima? You are exactly the type of person that sets quotas for the number of times and specific context in which certain peoples can be featured in academic textbooks for universities - where starving black Africans are screened out in order not to perpetuate "the stereotype" of starving black Africans.
  3. Are you serious? The Aboriginals themselves are the ones blaming all of their problems on racism from the "White Man".
  4. That's exactly what those examples were about.
  5. Oh, so now religious practises are off-limits from criticism? Even MLW fears freedom of speech that offends the sensibilities of the leftist moderator.
  6. Sure, nobody can bring in any food that was sworn off by any staff member for Lent. It's unreal how you engage in such mental gymnastics to justify ridiculous pandering masquerading as "sensitivity".
  7. Oh really? Which group did I smear there?
  8. Remember Boges - expectations of basic hygiene is not bigotry. We should be sensitive to religious Muslim women who stink at work because they wrap themselves up on 35 degree summer workdays. And washing one's feet in the sink isn't gross because it's a beautiful cultural practise. Thinking otherwise, and having perceptions shaped by a secular perspective is now intolerant and bigoted.
  9. That's a blanket smear of all minorities? Or of a particular group of them who choose to conduct themselves in a certain way? I'm not allowed to be disgusted by body odour or foot washing where I wash my hands?
  10. If we're talking about Ramadan, where did your "day off" for religious observance come from? Some Muslims increase their observance during this period of the year and engage in the full five times per day prayers whereas during the rest of the year they are more laid back about it. So it's cool to give employees and extra thirty minutes off per day for an entire month? And when they have a mood swing or show up to work late, you just brush it off because they're going through a hard fast? It is every individual's responsibility to make his or her own accommodations based on his or her own needs.
  11. It's the usual rhetoric of the left, as whenever I attack multiculturalism and "sensitivity" policies, I'm immediately smeared as a racist. Nevermind the fact that I have more real and genuine Muslim friends than perhaps everyone in here combined.
  12. I think Michael Hardner doesn't realize that Ramadan is a month-long holiday... just another myopic Canadian who doesn't know any real flesh and blood Muslims in any meaningful way. Of course, that won't stop him from making assumptions about their character, values, and way of life.
  13. It's not about an individual using their vacation time to book off days for their own personal needs, is it? That's not what we're talking about. What we ARE talking about is adjusting and bending in order to "accommodate" minority interests. There should be uniform expectations of everyone, and to ask people to hie their lunches or dedicate prayer rooms for Muslim employees is just another in a long list of examples of us bending to them, rather than the other way around. If you can't mix your needs with your job, perhaps you should look for another job. That includes disabilities, religions, abilities, personal matters, and everything else under the sun.
  14. I invite any real Canadian patriot to take a gander at this thread and see for yourself exactly why this country is finished. The apathy of the left and their commitment to continually bend and adjust our values and expectations in the name of "cultural sensitivity" is what fuels the ongoing importing of third-world trash into Canada. We have enough domestic trash, already, but let's keep bringing in foreign trash via family reunification laws (which include plenty of fake marriages) and compassionate refugee laws.
  15. Everyone should be treated the same and be held to the same expectations. You of course, think otherwise.
  16. Polite and sensitive? Me not bringing food into a lunchroom meeting because one of my co-workers is a Muslim is "polite and sensitive"? Giving my employee and extra twenty-five minutes off per day is "polite and sensitive"? Not wonder what the hell Abdul is doing washing his feet in the sink is "polite and sensitive"? Pretending not to be disgusted with Fatima's body odour because she's all wrapped up in black on a hot summer day is somehow contrary to being "polite and sensitive"? People like you are why Canada will continue its self-destruction as we pander to third-worlders and inferior ideologies/cultures while we worship at the leftist altar of multiculturalism.
  17. Another example of why Canada is finished, where wasting money on "training" us to accommodate others is seen as a good thing. Excuse me, but it is for people with special interests and needs to make their own accommodations for others. Why do I need "training" (otherwise known as brainwashing) in order to know how to interact with Muslims? Why can't I interact with them as I would with anyone else? What's next, forgiveness for poor performance at work from Muslims during Ramadan because of their understandable low blood sugar levels during the work day?
  18. I find it funny that a leftist like you puts quotes around the term "right", when you're clearly quite comfortable attributing "rights" to all sorts of abstract people (where the burden for providing those rights invariably ends up on someone else's shoulders) in all sorts of situations.
  19. It's funny how I'm actually the one patriotic enough to assert the superiority of Western values (democracy, free markets, and secularism) over inferior cultures and societies, and you're trying to take some dig at me on a similar level. You're the one who lives in some moronic world of cultural relativism, where the Western way of life isn't any better, but just a different way of doing things. The irony is quite rich.
  20. Actually, minorities should be sensitive to everyone else. This mentality of pandering to minorities is exactly what will be the undoing of this country.
  21. This country is finished. When the political culture of Canada is so far to the left as to describe people like Harper as "far right wing", you know we're done for. When a loser like Hudack is the number one guy running for the premiership of the most important Canadian province as a supposed "conservative".... well...
  22. I don't make magical religious arguments, so you're chasing a ghost. What makes it ours is possession, that we've built it into what it is, and that this is where we come from.
  23. You've joined the ranks of dre, GostHacked, and Peter F. All of whom are completely comfortable living in a Canada where all women wear hijabs (which means, of course, that all of Canada's women are Muslims). And guess what unites all of them? They're all leftists. What a surprise, that the left is comfortable with the destruction (or Islamization) of Canada...
  24. If aboriginals are smart people, why are they overrepresented in all things bad - disease, divorce, welfare, academic underachievement, addiction, obesity, and low IQ scores?
  25. Although somewhat unrelated, and I think capricorn might appreciate this, is how weak and spineless Hudack is. Can you imagine him actually having the courage to address these issues forcefully? Nope. Neither can I. Another reason why Hudack pretending to be a "conservative" is a sad joke.
