I dunno about baseball, but a lot of people still follow football and basketball. CFL football is big all over western Canada.and Calgaryalways has a good team and great tailgating in the parking lot before games.

While I would welcome it, we don't need athiests to be a majority to have politics be secular,ie: not connected in any way to religion.

No good can come from mixing the two. A politician's religion should be as irrellevant as his or her sexual orientation. Neither personalcharacteristic should have any effect on their performance. At least, if we expect that it will be true in the end. Once people start voting based on these irrellevant characteristics they will become relevant and we will live in a theocracy. NO! NO! We should remove public support for religious schools and remove any reference to god in any of our laws, including the constitution. Churches should be taxed like any other business.

NO! I want to elect the government and cabinet. That is what I do now because I only theoretically vote for my individual MP. In fact, I vote for theperson in my riding who represents the party i believe has the best platform so,in effect, I vote for a government and cabinet. I don't need any proxy (MP) to do that for me. Parties are necessary for this system to work. Without parties we don't know what we are voting for because no individual MP can deliver on any broad range of policies.

I have no problem with party members doing it, but I do object to people on the taxpayers payroll doing it at work.

I doubt these fools give even part of a dam about anyone else

Anything to avoid that hideous carbon tax.and some of us even voted Conservative just because none of the other "alternatives" are at all realistic.

Iam just as happy as anyone else to point out American hypocracy, but it can cut both ways. Just because it's Hillary saying it doesn't mean it's not valid. It is very unreasonable and hypocritical of our government to try to deny access to safe abortions to those women who require assistance in other countries.

The Bombers have replaced their coach& GM so the football should no longer be second rate and the stadium will be a huge improvement.

There's no story here. She was contracted to fill in for a teacher on maternity leave, then she asked for maternity leave. She was told to "work from home", so, she is essentially getting what she asked for. She is still getting paid, but should not be since she isn't fulfilling her contract.
