Canadian Seat on U.N. Security Council
PIK replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Speaking of the balkins, peole should read Gen McKenzie's book on it. If I remember correctly, when he was holding the airport the ''other side'' started to bring in heavy weapons and the general phoned the UN and asked for some weapons himself, but it was either friday and he could not get a hold of anybody or they just said you can't under UN rules, not sure at this moment, but he phoned mulroney and mulroney then got a C-130 loaded and sent over very quickly. Rwanda was a joke on all sides, even us for sending political liberal general, who if I remember correctly again, had no overseas experence and just wanted to do something before he retired. -

Britian is in alot worse trouble then we are, and spend alot more then we do. The world is not geting any better and we are sitting on more resourses then anyone and if people can't see that is going to be a problem in the future, then we are screwed. The strong will take over the weak ,when the fight for resourses start and we better be in the strong section. -

Countries with nukes do not get invaded, tell that to the americans since they have been invaded by mexico. Anyways we need these planes for china, they are not building ice breakers to cruise around china. -
And just wait until who dat takes over and finds out that we are in debt alot more then is being let on.

Putting it on the cover is going to far, but my understanding is that the courts release what pictures the media can use ,to show the public what is going on and it is not being done behind close doors.

Would there be a plan in place to keep some of the F-18's flying with the F-35's? -
Eco fees are gone, eco premiums are on the way.

Lets also remember that we produce 2% of it all and if we were to disappear ,nothing would change. But as typical canadians we will blame ourselves for the whole mess and bankrupt ourtselves feeling guilty.

LOL A true liberal , the poor boy is sick, send him to a mental institution, he is not sick ,he is pure evil and should be shot. I was waiting for some liberal smuck to come out in his defence.

$9 Billion No-Bid Contract for 65 F-35s

Pick up your phone and give boeing a call and asked them if it was sole sourse. But why all of a sudden liberals are against this, what don't you understand that chretien, canadian PM and leader of the liberal party was the one that started this process ,had 2 companies bid on it and both built prototypes and then PICKED THE F-35 (X-35). All harper has done is agree with him. So what are we seeing here, the libs are going to cancell this and spend tons of money starting over again ,only to find out that is the one to go with, we are still waiting for new helecopters to replace the seas kings thanks to the liberals. -

It was not sole sourse 2 planes 2 companies, that is all they had to pick from, 1st lets get something straight, chretein was the one that started this process ,there was the x-32 and x-35 and the x-35 was picked to be the one, as of 2001 we have put in 150 million bucks.ye So s there was a open bid because they were the only 2 planes that the liberal wanted to look at. How much more have we paid into it in the last 10 years. Harp[er is just finishing what chretien started. We also get to bid on the building of up to 5000 planes. That might be less because as of today britian is cutting it's miltary bugdet by 8%. So their sub plan is now on hold and probably the planes as well. And to say we won't need pilots amynore is foolish. How many times in history have people said dumb things like that. Remember the missles from america, they said we would never need a plane again.General Hillier even aid we don't need tanks, now even he has admitted how dumb that was, they have worked well in afghanistan and will work well in dafur or the congo. -

We have not fallen, and I am getting sick of hearing that. Harper stood up to these idiots that run this club. How come the real polluters do not get a mention from the UN, like china, india and such. Do you know that canada produces 2% of all green house gases, do you know that if canada disappeared, it would not do a damn thing for CC. Why is the left seem to be selling out this country at every turn , trying to make us look like the evil ones. What I hear from the liberal is ,wait till we get back into power and we will do whatever you say and keep the money flowing then we will be liked again at the UN, who the fuck cares what those assholes at the UN think. And having harper stand up to them is a factor also, something they are not use to having canadiansa speaking for them selves and not just following the UN line.Sure harper has made some goofs along the way, we cons have alway stuck our foiot in our mouths, just something we do, but over all ,we are doing a batter job at running this country and if anyone thinks removing him for iggy is going to make things better is a fool. I can just see bob rae at the UN bowing and asking for forgivness from these fools. If you don't have the back bone to stand up for your country then just STFU. Imagine canada being bitch slap by these countries that can't even look after themselves or have human rights issues that would make a canadian puke. -
I can see he is about to some how blame the cons for the neglect over the years of the military.

The debt could be payed so damn quick, lets audit the indians affairs books and we could probably save billions with the corruption in that dept, oh wait we can't do a audit becuase the other parties I understand rejected that idea. Just clean up 25% of the corruption in this country and we are laughing.I would like to know how much of our money is given to interest groups ,that should be told to go raise your own money, to many people making a living just off goverment money, it has to end.

Harper Doing a Good Job At Handling The Economy
PIK replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And if martin was still PM and he went ahead with the 5 billion kelowa accord and how many billions into goverment babysitting programs, how would be right now,IMO alot worse off. And speaking of his severe deficit fighting he did, well the PS union are still fighting for the up to 60 billion taken from the pensions, and taking all that money from UI is hurting right now, I understand. -

Harper made a ass out of obama over the stimulis packages, obama was all set to spend(or print) more money and harper scolded him on that, that copuld be enough for the americans to be pissed off. And you are right obama is a real smart man, how he has his people eating hope for dinner. -

Very true and it is something to be proud of, finally a canada with a back bone, not just pay the dues and STFU about what is going on, rwanda should have opened up peoples eyes but it did not. But back to iggy, not long ago we were reading how iggy has a lots of ears in the obama administration, they actually bragged about it that they would have better relations with america because of his friendship with many top advisors, so was there some behind the scenes action going on to defeat canada ? -
You really have no clue do you?
