No, the big problem is that US tax loopholes allow major corps. in the US to make it appear as if profits where made offshore. That added up to nearly 2 trillion as of 2014. And it seems you conveniently ignored Trump hypocrisy. I know you like US right wing politicians, but, good grief.

I suspect many people who get asked a question about refugees have already seriously considered it the issue. As you continuously point out it has been all over the news for a quite a spell. I suspect your comments about pollsters framing the questions to get the answers they want is just your flimsy attempt to undermine the actual results, which challenge your own personal opinion.

People being polled aren't speaking on the radio. They are speaking privately and anonymously. You can sweat over whatever media you think is controlling what we think, however I have a lot more faith in Canadians to speak their mind no matter what their favourite channel has to say.

That could be due to the fact that Harper made claims about his own soft heartedness, but never really followed up. Kind of how he did with vets, infrastructure spending etc., etc. Not so much mean, just dishonest.

I don't know what you mean with this we the people meme you keep on about, maybe you mean what you want. If you check the polls, you will find that on average, Canadians are roughly divided, with supporters slightly ahead. Or do you think that pollsters twist peoples arms when they poll them?

If you check the average of the polls, you'll find that the refugee plan is supported by roughly half or slightly higher of the population. I doubt TV stations make them do that. BTW, the opposition comes mostly from people who identify as conservative. Q'ellle surprise!
