Err, I am happy that my elderly grandparents (who live on a farm 7 miles to the nearest city) have guns. You seem to have this naive utopian view that if all guns were banned, then everybody can hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Get real: The bad guys will always have access to guns. Look what happened in the UK after they banned handguns--a 92% increase in the robbery rate after only 4 years. I live in the robbery capital of Canada and the USA. You always hear about robberies or attempted robberies from acquaintances here. Saskatoon has a higher robbery rate than all the major Canadian and US cities. Our robbery rate is about 4 times higher than the typical US city the same size (200,000 - 250,000). Less restrictive gun use in Canada would make the bad guys leery.

Pollution Watch: US reduces air pollution emissions 25 times faster than Canada in 8 year period Pollution Watch is an activist group, so let the spin begin.

It appears that the Iraq Constitution has passed. I suspected that it had--because the Anti-Bush/Pro Terrorist liberal media had been strangely silent. I would like to congratulate the free people of Iraq on this momentous occasion as well as thank everybody who has been a part in making this happen: The people of Iraq, the US troops, the brave and loyal coalition troops, and the Bush Administration for continuing the fine Republican tradition (Lincoln, Reagan, Civil Rights Act) of liberating millions upon millions of the oppressed. I can't wait to see the far left protest the Iraq Constitution. As for the Democrats, they used to have nads when it came to foreign policy, but none since John Kennedy. Until the Democrats convince the American public that it can protect it from its enemies, they have no chance of winning the White House. Seriously. Jimmy Carter? Michael Dukakis?

Pearson: Canadians are forced to pay $1 billion a year to the state-run CBC to be brainwashed in America Hatred. And now they want state-run daycare, they want our children at a younger age...
-
Newbie: I think that is a myth. If not, then it is just self-loathing American leftists. And why pretend to be a Canadian, why not some other nationality? What do you expect people to say? "Hey look. He's Canadian. I'll bet he has a really cool winter parka."

Black Dog: The only two Americans I see on the list are Shaker Al-Khafaji, the pro-Saddam chairman of the 17th conference of Iraqi expatriates, and Samir Vincent, an Iraqi-born American citizen who gave $400,000 to far-left icon Scott "the pedo" Ritter to make a pro-Saddam movie. However I see many many other individuals and countries (The Russian state itself received 1,366,000,000 barrels) on the list.

Well, in Ohio, they used computers... the ones that count the votes.... They were proven to have cheated in Ohio, but most newspapers didn't report on the commission's results.... and Janet Jackson's breast was a way more interesting story....The exit polls in Ohio showed that the republicans had a 1 in 65 million chance of winning.... but somehow the computers counted more Republican votes than there were registered voters... There was a commission that studied it, and found at least 25 ways that the Republicans had cheated, including re-programming the computers for the re-count.... and nothing was done about it ..... So just because they got caught in Ohio, it doesn't mean that they cheated in other states... does it... ... well, maybe Florida, but that's understandable, because it's Jeb's country down there.... (See Harpers magazine, about 2 or 3 months ago for the full story.. sorry, I lent my copy to a friend...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yawn. A one in 165 million chance of winning a state he was projected to win? What a crock. Keep it up though. Do continue to insist that there is nothing wrong witht the Democrat's message. They only lose because the Republicans "cheat". And continue to ignore that 5 people were convicted of voter fraud in the 2004 election--and ALL 5 were Democrats.

Why does the US support Israel?
Montgomery Burns replied to mopek's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Can you post the pic of Jacques ChIraq touring the nuclear reactor with Saddam? Or how about the pic of Saddam walking on red carpet when he got off the plane in Paris to meet his good buddy ChIraq? Or don't those count? Is this the same John King who writes for the far left informationclearinghouse website? Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the Democrats controlled Congress when Reagan was Prez. -
Come on, Monty. Rense.com is not radical. Rense.com is paranoid, deranged, delusional, and psychotic. Rense.com is where radicals go when they suffer massive head injuries. What the hell happened to my message board? I leave you people alone for just a couple of days and the place fills up with mental cases. It's enough to make me miss Onlythetruth... at least his ravings were amusing, what with the space-angels and so on. -k <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kimmy eschews my "politically correct" term. Good for her; I admire her courage. It appears that your messageboard has been purged of (most) of the "Renseonites (I made up a new word ). Kimmy wins again. Me too...

I admit that the Bush administration erred having Colin Powell going to the UN and concetratng on WMD--WMD was only mentioned in 2 of the 23 clauses in The Authorization To Use Force In Iraq that was passed by Congress--The Bush administration did this as a favor to Tony Blair--who was gettting flack from the far leftists in his Party. Oh, and the US had a right to go into Iraq. Saddam violated the 1991 ceasefire agreement and broke (or ignored) 16 Chapter VII (binding) UN resolutions.

Greg has asked us not to feed the troll. If you can't kill it, just ignore it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well said, Lionus. I shall try to heed your advice...but...

Socialist war on God continues
Montgomery Burns replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Which is vastly different than your sneering condescending tone towards "the left," I suppose? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you denying that the majority of the left looks down on people who believe in a higher power? -
Socialist war on God continues
Montgomery Burns replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Speaking of intolerant, I refer you to Pat Robertson and George Bush. Bush, who claims to be a Christian, has gone beyond intolerent to imcompetence causing death. Since you include me in your tirade (I am a Liberal) it's not the Liberals who call people traitors who disagree with Bush. Liberals are often called commies and pinkos, etc. I think what the right confuses is that Liberals in general are open minded. We are tolerant of other races, religions, faiths, lifestyles, etc. And we don't need to monopolize talk radio to demonstrate that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When you raise $600,000 and deliver it to the Islamofascists in Fallujah--just before the US is going in to clean the terrorists out--then you are a commie pinko traitor. -

ssiguy: They're cousins. And communist ideals... Nonsense. I am here because of capitalist rightwingers. They are the tolerant ones; not the intolerant socialists. -
Left Sets Examples For Terrorists
Montgomery Burns replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Let me add 2 sentences from Shady's link: The liberal media is the fifth column... -
John Kerry lost because he is a traiterous weasel who said that "this is the wrong war--at the wrong time--in the wrong place". Being a heiress-hunting gigolo didn't help much either. Neither did running to the press and angrily saying, "I don't fall down. The son of a bitch knocked me over", in reference to his Secret Service Agent knocking him off his snowboard. Additionally, with the rise of talk radio, Fox News, and weblogs, the public is slowly starting to realize that they have been subjected to liberal-left propaganda by the liberal media. The pre-election surprises (fake memos--CBS, 380 tons of weapons disappearing under the noses of the US military--NY Times) That is why ratings are down at the news divisions of network TV, CNN, and circulation at the liberal newspapers. I don't think that the Bush administration is very conservative. They are hawkish when it comes to foreign policy (although I think they should be more ruthless with the terrorists), but what about Bush's domestic spending? He spends almost like a Democrat! "Compassionate" Conservatism--is not my idea of conservatism. What about his limp response to the porous border with Mexico? That's foreign policy and he has been poor in that area. But the Democrats love those "poor" immigrants so they can keep them sucking off the teat of the govt, so they don't hammer Bush on the Mexican border issue. They see those Mexicans as potential Democrat voters. But they are losing the Hispanic vote. Bush garnered 44% of the Hispanic vote. Socially, hispanics tend to be conservative. And what about Bush's feeble Supreme Court pick--Harriet Miers? She's hardly a rock-hard conservative. Way to motivate the people who voted you into office, Dubya Bush is right of center, but he is hardly an ultra-conservative. The Bush administration reminds me (with the possible exception of hawkishness) of Canada's old Progressive Conservative Party. The Democrat Party is coming to a crossroads. The far left has hijacked the party. They have proven to be a noisy and formidable foe. The far left is also somewhat scary to the typical voter--especially in the USA--which is a right-of-center country. Who will win this civil war? For the sake of the Democrat Party, I hope the "Joe Liebermans" win. Additionally, the population is aging. Generally--the older the population, the more conservative is the population. And the exit polls in 2004 showed voters identifying themselves as 34% conservative, 21% liberal, and 45% moderate/undecided/fringe party, etc. That 45% is a lot, but I think it is safe to say that the US is a right-of-centre country. I'm not sure Hillary can win the Democrat nomination. She has excellent fund-raising abilities, but the far left doesn't like her. Even if she did win, I can't see her becoming president. She has many negatives, what with being First Lady to one of the most administrations in US history. Plus, Hillary told the troops in Iraq that some Americans were questioning their mission. Way to motivate the troops--Hillary. Additionally, her infamous statement at that 2004 Democrat fund-raiser in San Francisco..."I know they [the Bush tax cuts] have helped you, but we are going to have to take that away from you for the common good." Hee hee. That Socialist Statement will come back and bite her in the rear.

Why does the US support Israel?
Montgomery Burns replied to mopek's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
mopek: It's not just America. Islamic terrorists have also murdered, bombed, and/or beheaded innocents in Thailand, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Russia and numerous other countries. Not all of these countries support Israel. The US generally supports democratic countries. Besides Israel, there are no democratic countries in the Mid East. In fact, Israel is surrounded by very hostile nations. Iraq will become the 2nd democratic country in the ME. -
I don't know where to start. How about Article 6 in the US Constitution? It says nothing about the UN. The founding fathers were trying to run away from interference in their affairs by foreigners. There were 23 clauses in the Authorization to Use Force Against Iraq (passed by Congress). Only 2 clauses mentioned WMD. However 12 of the 23 clauses mentioned the broken ceasefire and the 16 Chapter VII (binding) UN resolutions that Saddam ignored or broke. And admit it--if the US went into Darfur, you'd be complaining about that too. Btw, will the UN ever do anything about Darfur? Of course they won't. The only reason why the Canada, Russia, China, France, and the UN wanted Saddam to remain in power--the only reason they wanted the US to spend billions of dollars yearly (for eternity) to keep Saddam and his sons "bottled up" was because the UN was making billions off the Oil for Food Program; China, Russia, and France supplied Saddam with 82% of its arms (France even build Saddam a nuclear reactor), and Chretien's son-in-law's father is the biggest shareholder in France's TotalFinaElf oil company--a company that had extensive ties with Saddam. And of course, PMPM accepted $1 million of Saddam's money for investment in one of his many companies. Chretien and Martin embarrassed Canadians by putting their insatiable greed over the welfare of human dignity, and the enforcement of legal documents. Of course, the US spends more money on healthcare and medicine. They invent nearly every medical technology out there. Do you think years and years of R&D is "free"? What about the vast difference in the percentage of MRI machines in Canada versus the US? No matter how many times Canadians say that this is "free", it is not. And how can you say that the Liberals are centrists? They are in bed with the NDP. They took back corporate taxcuts (which would stimulate the economy) and are going to spend $4.6 billion on a socialist govt-run, unionized worker-controlled national daycare. And money on the farcical Kyoto, which other countries are bailing out of.The continue to engineer social change with their fanatical obsession about changing the 2000 year definition of marriage. Bush gives a speech about democracy, freedom, and the war against terrorism. A couple of days later, Canada shows its priorities; Gay marriage is legal. This despite that I have not seen one--not one!--poll that has ever shown that the public wants to change the 2000 year definition of marriage. It was deeply embarrassing for Canada, and is another reason why Canada is not repected in the world anymore.

Is Vancouver Better Place than Calgary?
Montgomery Burns replied to Chamuel's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Spot on. Canadian Pride appears to be nothing but Anti-Americanism. It starts from the govt and its control of the state-run Soviet-style CBC. -
The guy is real piece of work. I thought i heard ritter say in an interview one time that he is no longer a citizen of the US, but that he is a citizen of the world. It certainly sounds like UN brainwashing to me. I wonder if ritter is involved in some of the UN's sex scandals. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't heard of Ritter being involved in any of the UN sex scandals. The only UN sex scandals that I have heard--have been about UN troops raping women.

The Revolution is near, Komrade!
-
No kidding. Masterkush has graced the forum with an oped piece from the radical Rense.com, then he dropped a story about the strongly suspected pedo Scott Ritter and a title inferring that Bush and Blair are neocon nazis. Now Masterkush has written a somewhat incoherent, somewhat deranged piece chalk full of misspellings--couple of posts. I suspect a Michael Moore oped is next.
-
Not only is Scott Ritter a traitor for taking $400,000 from an Iraqi to make a pro-Saddam documentary (plus working for Al Jazeera), he is a pedophile; something the MSM won't report. First you drop a link from the radical Rense.com--and now you want us to take the word of a grown man who lures 14 and 16 y/o girls off the internet to meet him at Burger King? What do you have in store for us next?

canada's destruction
Montgomery Burns replied to masterkush's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Rense.com? WOW! However Rense's stories on UFOs, alien abductions, crop circles, the supernatural and ghosts are "interesting", to be kind.
