According to polls the Liberals should have about 20 more seats left over from the last election. And according to statistics, sleeping with your head in the freezer and feet in the oven, you will be, on average, comfortable. Since when is the media right about anything? I work in aviation, which is probably their worst market. It's fun to laugh at, but seriously, why take it seriously?

Complete and utter irrelevance. The Liberal party is fractured alone on this "coalition" without even talking about popular support or confidence of the house. You actually expect this thing to govern? It's pretty clear Ignatieff does not. The only way parliament dissolves next year is for an election. The "coalition" for all rights and purposes is over. That's not right wing slander, it's reality.

Ignatieff is smart enough to realize that the "coalition" is political suicide. As he has no desire to go the way of Stephanie Dianne he won't touch it. Read you none of the articles about Liberal supporters hesitant to donate cash because of NDP involvement? Just the NDP mind you, we won't even start on the BQ. We'll have a government or an election, not sure which is worse

Because America is bleeding to death. OK, perhaps our system isn't a failure, but it certainly isn't a success. I can't think of a single thing the government operates that doesn't have a massive capacity for improvement before it can even start to call itself, efficient.

Perhaps regulate time worked? Doctor has to work minimum X hours in public system, and Y hours in private? I just don't know about this, it's a slippery slope, but the current system is an obvious failure. Hard to take a position.

Poor argument. HMO = Hand money over. Lot's of people pay their premiums year in year out, only to find they aren't covered by technicality.

I won't vote. Intolerance of other cults is the foundation of abrahamic religion. IMO they're both just as bad.

The argument being, private high paying health care siphons skilled doctors out of the realm of public health care. A pretty good argument. I think all government services should be contracted out via P3, but still guaranteed via contractual penalty. Imagine the tax payer savings.

Wait until you need a surgery. I tried to cut my thumb off a couple years ago. Ok I'm dramatic, it was eight stitches. However spent 5 1/2 hours in the ER waiting room with a puddle of blood under me. I was surprised how little anyone cared. I'm very happy that Canadian health care is there, I am happy to pay for it, but like any other government run organization, it's very sick.

Textbook definition of socialism is state ownership & distribution of wealth. If we take a look at all of our historical governments, how can you say that's something you want? Money is pissed away on nothing at every corner, for a massive tax burden. Yes some things like health care & welfare are absolutely necessary, but everything.....? You're stretching.

Agree, America is down, not out by any means. I'm just saying, things are relevant, it all depends on perspective. Take a second to empathize, you might be surprised where you land.

Me thinks that you need to come to grips with the fact, that all this "wealth," these financial systems, this way of life.......it's all just a smoky illusion, and can drift away at any point. Look what's happening down south, in the utopia of capitalism.
