  1. Banks begin to freeze accounts as Trudeau continues crackdown on freedom protesters | The Post Millennial BREAKING: Canadian Civil Liberties Association condemns Trudeau's use of Emergencies Act to target freedom protesters | The Post Millennial It seems to be real from what I've read. Chrystia Freeland is bragging about it. What else to they have in store for anyone that opposes them?
  2. WATCH: Trudeau's Deputy PM mocks freedom protesters with frozen bank accounts | The Post Millennial Yesterday, interim Ottawa Police Chief Steve Bell said that those who attended the weeks-long peaceful Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa could face charges and financial sanctions, even if they have since retreated, and that these investigations could continue for "months to come." "The simple answer is yes, if you are involved in this protest, we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges," said Bell at the weekend press briefing. "Absolutely." "This investigation will go on for months to come. It has many, many different streams, both from a federal financial level, from a provincial licensing level, from a criminal code level, from a municipal breach of court order, breach of court injunction level," said Bell.
  3. Okayyyyy so you say you'll be cheering if any western province votes to leave. There is an old saying about biting the hand that feeds you. The topic at hand is the overreaction of Trudeau and it's hard to imagine even his most ardent fans supporting the financial penalties imposed on anyone or everyone that donated to the trucker protest in good faith.
  4. Just out of curiosity where might you be from Jack? I'm near Ottawa.
  5. How so? Specific examples?
  6. Well, elderly might be subjective to some but the woman in the photo above is apparently the one that was using the walker. Some articles refer to her as elderly. If she is using a walker she must have limited mobility to begin with. The point is that a woman using a walker get's knocked over by an officer on horseback.
  7. Some people still don't believe anyone was injured by officers on horseback in spite of video and photos. Woman trampled by Trudeau's forces during freedom protest identified as Indigenous elder | The Post Millennial It's being turned around as usual in that the story is now about right wing news falsely reporting a death. From what I understand one FOX reporter said at the time there MAY have been a fatality. Apparently she did not state categorically that there was a death. The Post Millennial names the woman trampled but the CBC website does not mention her name.
  8. BREAKING: NDP will 'reluctantly support' Emergencies Act vote | The Post Millennial Reluctant my ass!
  9. Ok here you go again?. AOC is duly elected to office so I'll give her that. But being duly elected is by no means a guarantee that someone is really smart. So just that everyone knows where your standards are for politicians, you are saying unequivocally that you believe AOC is "plenty smart". Ok got ya.? (I would agree with you in that I think Justin Trudeau is every bit as smart as AOC).?
  10. I actually do not even hate Justin Trudeau. Hate is a really strong word and emotion. A political leader I really truly hate is Xi Jinping but that's another story. Justin Trudeau is clearly out of his depth as Prime Minister and we all know he got there because of his last name. I've listened to him since he got elected in 2015 and frankly he does not come across as very intelligent . I would describe Justin Trudeau as the Canadian version of AOC except he holds the reigns of power.
  11. Can you name one? And I would point out that a good speech by a politician would/should inspire even supporters of other political parties. Trudeau can easily rouse his own fan base but that's not saying much. Speaking in front of adoring naive teenagers at a WE event is not too hard for Trudeau. I've seen enough of Trudeau's speaking style and I'm not impressed. I wasn't impressed by O'Toole either.
  12. Ok now I know you're pulling our collective leg here. Trudeau has NEVER given a good speech. He's an actor, he's a drama queen. His speeches aren't rousing in any way. He is very contrived and when he does speak without a script he sounds foolish. He should venture outside of his bubble more often. He is like Canadian royalty but I don't mean that as a compliment. He reminds me of Prince Charles, a spoiled rotten man-child that's never done an honest days work in his life but feels he is above the rest of us.
  13. Steven Guilbeault has engaged in civil disobedience or criminal activity (depending on your point of view) in the past. He never faced any repercussions like many will face in the trucker protest. Now he sits in cabinet and forces idiotic policies down our throats.
  14. I'm in a Liberal stronghold too. I do think people should be open to checking out more sources for their news. They might be surprised by what they find. My friends seem to be in the dark about what's going on in the world of politics and I think the reason for that is they only watch the local news channels, CTV seems to be the choice . None of my friends have ever written to their MP as far as I am aware. I'm guessing most Canadians are the same, just taking what the government of the day puts out for us. If all I watched was CBC, CTV or Global I wouldn't really learn anything. Tiktok and Dancing with the Stars is more important for most people these days.
  15. But my point is what do the majority of Canadians think about using the powers of the Emergency Act against the truckers? We are being bombarded with totally different narratives. Canadians increasingly support Truckers, Freedom. Trudeau declares National Emergencies Act! | The Wentworth Report Two-thirds of Canadians support use of Emergencies Act against protesters: Poll - OrissaPOST The comparisons have been made between use of the War Measures Act by Trudeau senior and now the Emergency Act by junior. During the FLQ crisis there were bombs, kidnappings and actual murder. By comparison the trucker protest has been very peaceful although as I've said before they should not have shut down any roads or disrupted the downtown with the horns. This protest was clearly better described as civil disobedience and not terrorism as was the case with the FLQ. The truckers went too far with disruptions but the Trudeau reaction also went too far. It's the analogy of a bazooka to kill a mosquito. Just clear the blockages but there should be no heavy handed action like confiscation of property and bank assets. Doxxing people that have contributed to the truckers in good faith? The leftist media is doing that. Media targeting donors to Canada's protest leads to questions over free speech (nypost.com)
  16. I should have pointed out that in this link it has the Conservatives at 39% and the Liberals at 31% but I have a feeling that would still mean a Liberal minority government.?
  17. This is interesting but we all know how fickle voters are. I have seen some news clips about how the majority of Canadians support Trudeau on this issue so this poll doesn't support that. Has anybody seen the truth? Conservatives up 10 points in new poll amid Trudeau’s anti-freedom fiasco | The Post Millennial
  18. While you malign everyone that is conservative.?
  19. Liberal talk show host Bill Maher had also slammed Trudeau after he called the freedom protesters a "fringe minority" with "unacceptable views." "He said, but they take up space. And with that, we have to make a choice in terms of the leader as a country, do we tolerate these people?" Maher mocked. "Tolerate them?" he reacted to Trudeau's rhetoric in shock. "Now you do sound like Hitler." Bill Maher is the rarest of liberals in that he has some common sense.
  20. I guess someone collecting pogey can't really be fired. It's amazing how much coverage this is getting worldwide. Trudeau has an enormous ego so I wonder what he thinks of all that negative press he's getting? Families of freedom protesters report 'difficulty banking' | The Post Millennial
  21. This is pretty bad and tasteless. Knocking over a lady with a walker and these guys are celebrating? CONFIRMED: Leaked RCMP chat shows members celebrating violence against freedom protesters | The Post Millennial
  22. Bail is not a crime but banding together to get violent offenders back on the street is dangerously stupid. Not good for society. Minnesota: Dems bail out creep who vowed to rape minors – IOTW Report Christina Yuna Lee's blood is on the hands of Democrats (nypost.com) EXPOSED: Here's How Many MILLIONS Democrats Spent On Bailing Out Monsters (trendingpolitics.com) Often bail is fair to the accused but when the accused are violent career criminals who are highly likely to offend again in short order they should not get bail so easily.
  23. I have to wonder if Bob Rae would feel the same way if it were a pipeline blockade?
  24. That's kind of a stretch in my opinion. Is it that big of a deal that truckers went there to eat? What would have happened if a large number of truckers went into a major retailer for food or supplies like Walmart or Costco? If a trucker filled his truck at a Petro Canada station? This reaction by the government is overkill if they're going to confiscate trucks and bank accounts. They would never react this way to Antifa or groups like Extinction Rebellion or BLM.
