Budget Raises Doubts Among Some Conservatives
Huston replied to Progressive Tory's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Negligence. Negligence. Negligence. No regulation is about standardizing, so the government can get a bit of the cut. That is the problem of corpocracy. Despite what people think, the US was heavily regulated. That is why health care cost so much, and their industrial base move over seas, because it costs too much. Regulation creates bureaucracy, and you need to pay for those jobs. That would be the job creation politicians talk about. No wonder things stagnate. -
Your country was not bankrupt during the Panic of 1837 (actually, pretty much no debt at all at this time. Andrew Jackson knew what made speculation easy, so he closed down the Central Bank. Panic indeed), or the Crash of 1929.= So Ron Paul, Peter Shiff, Jim Rogers, and Max Keiser about the US? Obama only know seems to be getting what is really the problem. Hopefully he has enough intelligence to stop this fake growth, accept that pain will happen, so that people start being productive again, of course that would mean less corporatism, and less regulations that have made it near impossible to start a business. Maintaining artificially high housing prices will only make matters worse. But you know what they are doing, the FED is trying to inflate the money supply, because they CANNOT pay off their debt. What easier way to fix the problem of debt by inflating it away. Yes, that will be great when you have to pay $100 for a loaf of bread, and I am going easy on this. That is nothing compared to Weimar Republic or Zimbabwe. Lets see how wages even out during that. Peter Schiff was worng on the date of the collapse of the dollar. Max Keiser wasn't sure if it was going to happen, but now he say in about 6 months. I just hope Canada is not dumb enough to keep the CAD at 80cent USD, of course once it collapses. Lol, and Ron Paul has been calling this for decades.

Obama condemns Wall Street bonuses after bailouts

Yes, because the problem is statism. Then it was nationalism.. what would it be today. -

Well, in Iceland, Greece, Latvia and Bulgaria have or are rioting/protesting. One of them (Latvia or Bulgaria.. or maybe another one in Eastern Europe) burned down the treasury.. or attempted to. I'll try to find that.= Can't find anything on it. But Bulgaria did have agent provocateurs. Man, people must alway be ready to stop these agent provocateurs. A SPP protest in Quebec had some, but peacefully they were stopped. -

Well, the bankers are the aristocrats of today. Another French Revolution coming? Certainly some Americans are calling for an American Revolution. -
The Economy is going to tank, we all know that...
Huston replied to gordiecanuk's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Bush did not destroy the economy, he only helped by going to pointles wars. The causes of this occured before Bush and by the private Federal Reserve. The real resession should have happened around 1999-2001, but it was put off. Of course, putting off resessions always make the next one even worse and harder to fix. -

What free market and what deregulation. if you take Libertarians like Ron Paul, he was against the deregulations. Bush never made any, Bush made regulations. The unregulated FED helped cause the problem with artificially low interest rates. In a free-market, it would adjusted accordingly to what the market is saying. Interest rates should have been a lot higher. The deregulations started with Carter, then with Reagan, and the major deregulation being the one under Clinton. A free-market advocate like Ron Paul does want regulation. You should catch some of his latest interviews. A free-market is suppose to be regulated so that the market is free, not one filled with speculation, fraud, and mal-practice. The free-market has never existed so long as everything is regulated to the benifet of corporatism and fraud. -

What exactly can the government really do?' The most immediate are the tax cuts, but really what does a little bit a money do? That $600 Bush stimulus the US had some time ago didn't do anything. The Home Renovation Tax Credit is the most hilarious thing ever. Spend money, to save. HAHAHA! Temperary solution to the thing that help create the problem. Immediate Action to Build Infrastructure is another short temr plan. Yes employ some people, and when that is done, we are in the same situation as before. Anything involving business, communities, and finance will be just throwing money... but who will it go to. Like a bad bank like Northern Rock in the UK. Sigh... -
When ever I see or hear the word should, I become increasingly reluctant.
-
Well, maybe you should not care about a useless rating, when most countries are going further and further into debt. I don't how they calculate these rating, but the UK, France, and the US are creditor nations and will face monsterously difficult osbtactle to pay off their debt. It is not like they have ever had surpluses in a while like say Canada or Germany. Only can a state go with massive debt is still not be considered bankrupt. Absurd! But that's right, they can create money from nothing, and are not officially bankrupt untill their fiat currency collapse. My god!

The Global Rush to Deficit Finance - Who is Lending?
Huston replied to Riverwind's topic in Business and Economy
It is state socialism and the idea of money that does not exist, fractional reserves that cause unsustainable progress booms and ecological damage. Money that does not exist is socialist. Capitalism works with .. oh I don't know, capital. Somthing that exists. If you produce a basket, that is capital. You produce nice feelinga with your lover, that is capital. Do no't let Marx fool you about what a capitalist is. If progress was produced off capital.. we would not be as advance as we are today. All rapid progrees is fake! All concocted by the state and fiat money or monetary devaluation and coersion (slavery). -
The USD is at deaths door. The international bankers are working on an alternative right now tp prevent the certain absurdity you speak of. Of course, if other countries were not so supid to devalue their currency compared to the USD. Unfortunately, they are and it will stop the world, which is absurd. Like the anaology Peter Schiff makes about the four Chinese and the one American on an island, and the chinese work all day, and the American is the one consuming their production. If the American wasn't there, they would be producing for themselves. Can't wait for the run on the dollar.

What ever AAA rating is. LOL! So the word of Standard & Poors or Moodys is like the word of god huh? LOL! Well, even going by Moody's, they say the US is at risk of losing it. But hey who cares. You are so adorably naive. Hey just like GDP number have any real meaning to them huh. US bragging about their GDP, despite it being 60-70% consumption! Useless alphabet soups.... like national athems.
-
Umm, the US is bankrupt. Ahh, that would be called a failure. Isreal leetching off hand outs is a failure as well. Now I know why you put Palestinians in quotations...

Orwellian is always the word that comes to my mind when I see smallc.

What? How? Must be that alienating part I mentioned.

Binding people to such frivolous notions is unsustainable. There is a very good reason why the welfare state collapsed, and why post welfare state, the neoliberal, collapsed as well. Or for this superficial idea of pride in a fake nation from ocean to ocean.
-
It doesn't represnt me, and I don't even get the point of most of the lines. Man, I hate nationalism. Such a fabricated and disgusting and alienating disease.

And singing Oh Canada does that?
-
Meh, give Muslims their laws. However those that prevent freedom from coersion should have the law of the land to falll back on. Yes, allow them to have polygamy, but if any are force beyond their will, they should be able to have easy access to help outside their community.
-
Meh, if you want to sing Oh Canada, sing it to yourself.

There is a reason why anecdotal evidence does not hold up. Oh well. You're projecting, and then you ignorantly criticize the homeless, or maybe you just decided to not mention the other things that put people onto the streets. Who is really mentally ill, the one calling people lazy, or the ones receiving it? Soceity is mentally ill, and tries to achieve the stutus quo, some people are not capable of conforming and are torn to shreds at a very early age.

Obama will only be assassinated when he opens his eyes and stop kissing ass with the bankers and wallstreeters.
