Black Panthers blocking voters
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I provided a linkm, of course people here will bury it as not good enough. Seems like nothing is. -
Since the label changing on food production goods is it possible to build some canning and food production facilities, perhaps fund some farmer based initiatives? In an effort to diversify the province as I pretend to understand that the oil and natural resource sector is a finite market.

I'm sure you're making fun of me like everyone else but I'll bite just for the heck of it. I'm ok now, that was yesterday. I'm just an average guy who drinks beer and plays pool, works hard, goes fishing in the summer and plays ice hockey in winter. I get upset when people look down on me and speak to me in a condescending manner. In my professional life I put these people in their place but online I need to learn different skills to deal with it and I'm not there yet. I let my emotions run me sometimes and it has it's good and bad. I'm not a stupid person, I got high 80's and low 90's all through school. Sorry for the off topic.

BS. You'll still tear it down. You'd start telling me my sources aren't good enough, I can read it already.

Learn French, Quebec orders immigrants
Mr.Canada replied to Leafless's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
These people were lower class then the founding people of Canada at that time and no input into the over riding culture of this country. They were our source for cheap labour. I don't recall any coloureds sailing up the St. Lawrence to settle this country. They were all brought by the founding people. -
I don't think it matters what I say or how much proof I provide, you'll still tear it down due to partisan considerations. Just don't reply to my posts any longer.

I started with the DooM shareware, then quake, UT and Warcraft II and Diablo. After Diablo II came out I played that exclusively for 8 years. Just last Christmas I started WoW which I currently still play. Probably until Diablo III comes out, whenever that will be.

Learn French, Quebec orders immigrants
Mr.Canada replied to Leafless's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Those people have contributed nothing to the country in the larger picture. The french have been here since what? The 1500's? Over 500 years. These people have been here what? Since 1980 or later? About 20-30 years. Big difference. -
Why was it lost you ask? FACT It's because PM Trudeau insisted that the oil price per barrel be 75% of the world gong rate.

Black Panthers blocking voters
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I provided a link to the news coverage with eyewitness reports and one of them was a vote watcher. Put in place to make sure this sort of behavior doesn't occur! -
Armed Black Panthers have been blocking polling stations intimidating McCain supporters and white people. This is outrageous. <----- Check this link for the news story. We cannot allow this form of intimidation to go on in this country. Let's hope anyways.

It's going to depend on how they package it if they indeed do make a motion to change things.

Next President: Barack Obama
Mr.Canada replied to Mortui's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It was closer than expected at 52% to 48% for Obama in the popular vote. Obama has a lot of work to do and I honestly hope that he does well. It has lifted may peoples spirits across the board and that is a good thing. -
Those times are gone and the government of the day needs to change with it. Farmers now are much more educated and feel that they can market their own crops without the governments involvement. I don't see a problem. It would free up a lot of money that would be spent elsewhere.

Won't back crime bills, MPs say
Mr.Canada replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
More than anything the Tories need to work together with the opposition and not appear to be inflexible. If the Tories need to make some concessions to get the bill to pass then that is fine by me as long as the new crime bill still has teeth. I think everyone can agree that the protection of Canada and its citizens is a priority when presenting the new crime bill and the system is in need of some strengthening. I wouldn't want the Tories to start pushing bills through and saying in essence ' vote in through or else'. If that were to happen it would appear arrogant and they have already painted the Liberals with that brush. Doing so would make the Tories appear suspect and hypocritical. -
My point was that many Alberta farmers don't like the CWB monopoly on Albertan farmers. Their displeasure is well documented, sheesh.

That sounds reasonable and you also bring up another interesting tidbit. Barrack Obama wants to withdraw troops from Iraq and boost troops in Afghanistan and he is meeting with the UK PM Brown to ask him to send more troops to that country. It's going to be interesting what he has to say to PM Harper regarding that. I heard this on talk radio this morning and I haven't verified it, it is just what I've heard as it was reported. Agreed and no jdobbin, this isn't directed towards you at all, we always have good back and forth. We get heated, which is to be expected but we always keep it in perspective with each other. -

Yes, ones shouldn't have allegiances to foreign lands in front of the one you choose to be a citizen of.

And then Dion will be crushed even worse as no one has any faith in him, not even his own party. As someone said The Liberals talk tough but always fold and vote with the Tories or don't show up for the vote. The Liberals are broke and cannot afford another election therefore will have almost no ads running and as we saw in the US recently, the party with the most money usually wins. This post is just my opinion as is everyone's else here so please don't smear me with one liners or other nonsense. So don't sniffle about cites and other crybaby games this is just my opinion. -
If I was Obama I would get to work. Sure fancy speeches play on peoples emotions and evoke warm fuzzies but phase 1 is over. Get a black man elected to the oval office. Now he has to deliver and do what he said he was going to do. So start making preparations so that the day after the swearing in he starts doing something because the people are demanding that. Yes, I know that the usual suspects will disagree with me as they always do. I'm not Mr. Obama and this whole topic is hypothetical so take a deep breath and take it with a grain of salt if possible. No need to discredit me with drive by smears and one liners.

Yep especially in a race so close as to less than 50 votes separating the two.

This is obviously a step in the right direction. If the Liberals, well if Dion takes us back to the polls over crime he will be crucified for voting against this bill. Labeled he didn't get it done and then being soft on violent crime. Hello majority. Our PM must be wringing his hands daring the Liberals and Mr. Dion to start crying again. Obviously there are people here who agree with anything the left says and vilifies anything the CPC says but going to election with a being soft on crime label stuck to them when honest people are being gunned down by ruthless thugs. -
I am personally attacked everyday and have done nothing until; this evening. Nothing ever happens to them so I guess they aren't enforced as strongly as they could be. Maybe the mods are busy.

Why Doesn't the US Respect Canada More?
Mr.Canada replied to jbg's topic in Canada / United States Relations
The topic is a very good question. It's hard to believe that the USA wouldn't respect Canada isn't it? I don't think any politicians have ever said anything non flattering about the Americans have they?
