The polls from the last Federal election were almost exactly bang on. Polls matter and politicians know this.

Well I guess that's it then. It must be amended in order to better serve Canadians. In order to save Canada we must amend it!

My poll was released yesterday Dec.13/2008 after Ignatieff was crowned leader of the LPC. If an election were held today the Tories would form a majority, suck it up.

Alright jdobbin, I'm going to answer it directly if I can. I don't in any way speak for Harper, obviously but I can guess which is what we're all doing. If he goes to court and they rule that it is then that's t it's over. No one will ever be able to change it without opening the const. He wants to do it w/o opening with Const which would be very difficult. I personally don't understand why everyone is afraid of changing the COnst. What's the big deal.

Canada needs to make strong moves. Who cares what others think about us. Isn't that what we teach our kids. I'd rather be respected as a strong nation rather than a weak nation that is nice to everyone and we let everyone come to Canada and live for free.

Why are you against an accountable Senate? Needing to be voted in therefore answering to the electorate and not party hacks.

Well we have to know who our enemies are. If these nations would do that than I hope we're not sending aid money to them and are giving them economic sanctions. Pakistan is only not in a famine because of our aid so they had better watch their step or we can starve them to death.

punked, I'm sorry if the facts anger you. I'm just trying to give the facts to the people, not rhetoric or finger pointing. LEt us accept what I say as many have done and move on. We need to work together to bring about accountability to the Senate. I don't like it that they get to sit on it til they're 75 and accountable to no one.

I was waiting for someone to say this. The USA is in the country as well you know and they are on the same team as we are. WE = the allies. A number of European allies have nukes as well. Will we do it? Of coarse not but it would solve all the problems in the region. Kill them all then we can rebuild it how we want it to be. Maybe not nukes but perhaps we can bomb the cities like they did in WWII. Cluster bomb the mountain ranges or use Napalm on the area. Just blanket the area. Then send in the elite troops to kill the rest and pick up the pieces. Mission accomplished.

Let's just drop a nuke of them and rebuild the country how we want it. Everyone's happy.

Good so I've finally convinced you all that Harper's tries at Senate Reform were blocked by the Liberals and the Liberal led Senate. We need to try to push ahead with Senate Reform. If we need to change the Constitution in order to make them accountable to us, the voter, then lets do it. Why are people so afraid of making Senators accountable? Ah yes I forgot, these are the same people that think ADscam was a great thing. I have my answer.

They will often call Christians extremists and racists, homophobic etc and in the same breath hug the jihadist for having the same principals thus proving that the war is only against Christianity. These Jihadists are killing people daily, cutting off limbs, executing homosexuals, stoning innocent people to death yet there is no public outcry against Islam.
