  1. Yeah, it's kind of relevant when you use a two year old reference that contradicts your assertion... I think the onus is still on you to provide something current before this discussion can proceed in a productive manner. Frankly, I'm not interested in engaging a discussion with you which revolves around your making personal attacks in an effort to cover the fact that you were WRONG.
  2. You cite a 2 year-old site that clearly indicates that approval is "declining". "But the numbers expressing strong approval are declining. The percentage rating Karzai very favorably has dropped 13 points from 68 percent in November/December 2005 to 55 percent in November 2006." So what is the public opinion RIGHT NOW, Mr. Source It Too???????
  3. All it's shown is that the member countries are reluctant to abide by its mandate when it doesn't exactly adhere to the organization's original mandate and the member countries are serving as a proxy army for American foreign policy...
  4. Yes, nothing like occupying a country and repeatedly bombing civilians to stop the growth and spread of terrorism. There are several sure ways to protect Canada from terrorism: don't let the type of people who could potentially become terrorists into the country, better airport security, much more competant intelligence and covert counter-terrorist activities. Since the latter are more preventative and less showy, I suppose I'll just have to keep dreaming...
  5. Well, I hope that my part of the riding finally gets returned to where it belongs instead of being lumped in with a bunch of rural yokels and neocon bedroom communities.
  6. Yeah, and in the meantime we'll allow a million Muslims to immigrate to Canada...
  7. There's a difference between tough and pointless. People with your mindset are the kind that kept WWI going for four useless years.
  8. Looks like he can't give you a straight answer. No surprise, really. I don't know about you, but I've noticed that the media doesn't air all that many special interest stories about the average, everyday Afghan anymore... I guess they don't want to keep having to run stories with Afghans decrying us as "foreign invaders," etc. Nobody likes having foreign soldiers in their country, and I dare say that should it ever happen in Canada not many people here will be as joyful and happy as some of us claim Afghans are right now...
  9. Based on what? The wishes of a puppet leader with ties to the oil and gas industry? Oh, hmmm, did I say oil and gas? Is it possible that we're there because of the oil and gas in the region? I wonder... So what? Countries ignore the UN unless it provides a justification for the country's own agenda. Even though this mission technically falls outside of its mandate, and that it's real purpose--a mutual defence alliance against the SOVIET UNION--has long since ceased to exist. And who gives a ---- what you think?
  10. Yes. Correct. LOL Well, people in Quebec... Being religious doesn't make one a "kook". ?
  11. Over two years? Are you sure Canada Post wasn't involved in some way?
  12. What do you mean if? http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/Newsroom/view...s_e.asp?id=2813 (I found this by googling "Canada Afghanistan Helicopters" which takes all of TEN SECONDS)
  13. a) this is the specific reason helicopters & crews were sent over there about a month ago, so where have you been? just wait until one of these things is shot down and we lose 20 guys instead of just 2 or 3...
  14. "family tradition," is it? LOL. People who put themselves in a position where they are part of a corrupt system and perpetrate these kinds of crimes have lack morality and CHOOSE to put themselves in that position. The fact that so many Jews are involved in this kind of thing largely has to do with the fact that nothing, to my knowledge, in their religion teaches them that money, greed, corruption is wrong in the eyes of GOD; they believe by virtue of racial heritage that they are God's "chosen people" and whatever it takes to perpetuate the Jewish race is acceptable conduct. That said, there are people in every race and religion that are totally devoid of morality and halp keep this corrupt society going.
  15. Are you sure that you're not just doing this to bait people into making what you would consider anti-Semetic remarks?
  16. Actually, I'd say the most intolerant people are non-religious. The most brutal and bloody mass murders have been comitted in the name of political, atheistic ideologies such as Communism and Nazism.
  17. Is it just me, or did Bush seem like this kind of thing is a common everyday occurence? I guess wifey's a bad thrower, too...
  18. Cut him some slack--he's from Alberta, after all...
  19. Enviro-nazi? Weasel? Should it come as a surprise that the Conservatives can't manage a majority...? Forming a coalition is a legitimate, legal means of forming a government in a democracy--ie., a system of government where majority rules. And the majority does not want Harper as PM...
  20. You should consider emailing that question to the PM himself...
  21. Well, no, not really, because these people either retire, retrain, or find new employment. All of the job losses in the automotive industry have yet to reflect in the statistics, which are quite current, so your doom and gloom scenario is a delusion on your part. The people of Ontario are resiliant and will weather this economic downturn quite well. Oh, indeed... the economy's going to hell, but hey, that means a shorter wait for a coffee... pretty lame if you ask me... Who cares? That still doesn't change the fact that it's stuck in the middle of nowhere. ...from a profoundly mentally retarded, tranny husband in a persistent vegetative state... where do we sign?!?!?!?!
  22. The Coalition is legal and constitutional, so the real problem is with Harper's quasi-fascist attitude towards governance.
  23. The number of people employed in Ontario is about TWICE the total population of Alberta, and has increased slightly between Nov 07 and Nov 08. The loss of a few thousand auto industry jobs in a workforce of 6.6 million is unfortunate, but hardly devestating. Between Oct and Nov 08, Alberta has lost about 9000 fulltime jobs, which on a per capita basis is pretty significant, and so I don't think you're really in a position to be needling Ontario about its economy.
  24. The Calgary Sun makes for some fine readin', don't it...?
  25. In the grand scheme of things, $300 million isn't all that much and the province could certainly survive without it. Had Ontario not been doling out all the money it has to support the western provinces, it certainly would be in much better financial shape. Eventually the Ontario economy will improve, and were Ontario and the rest of what is now Eastern Canada be divorced from the burdonsome West, it would finally be able to achieve the greatness that always should have attained...
