http://www.ainc-inac.gc.ca/pr/info/info106_e.html uh, ohh, a government of Canada website, indian affairs confirms the aboriginal word is Kanata. The French equivalent, Canada. What can I say, when I am right, I am right -
Huh? How is 1/2 Billion dollars siphoned out of Canada into the Oil Companies pockets a benefit to Canada. Yes, if Canadians can get higher wages for their work they pay more income taxes and benefit Canada, but in case you haven't heard factories and offices are closing down because of the high dollar, high oil prices, and cheaper labour costs in china and india. Hey, that's ok as long the Oil Companies get their money, the sell out bird brain albertans get their jobs and rebate checks everything is peachy. Once again, I am sure the 20 per barrel cost to extract oil from Alberta already incorporates all royalties and other costs going to Alberta. The fact is, for the Average Albertan it would make no difference if oil was sold at $45 or $145. However, it would make an immense difference to Canada. The only loser would be the oil companies and their excessive greed. I would rather see that 1/2 billion dollars a day kept in Canada.

The word you are talking about is Kanata!!!! Got it donkey? As for population, your source wikpedia, is about as reliable as mapleleafweb for your knowledge. A few mill one way or the other makes no difference. That fact is, Canada has dramatically increased its population via immigration since 1980. If you want to split hairs on the precise numbers by all means dumcer knock yourself out. -

Your only fact was what Jaque Cartiers wrote in a book. You quoted a french phrase with the French/English alphabet. Rather that restate what has already been stated, Accept the facts as they are. If some want to laugh, then laugh. Whatever, keeps them going. -
If you call paying world oil prices at the pump a benefit I would hate to know what you coin a liability. Fact is China is subsudizing the cost of oil to the people of China in driving up the world price. Canada is selling a 1 million barrels of oil a day to China at World Oil prices. 1 million * 140 = 140 Million dollars into the oil companies pocket. Canadians consume 2.3 million Barrels of oil * 140 = 322 million dollars. Canada is pumping out 3 million barrels of oil a day for a value $420 million dollars worth of oil. The oil companies are getting their cake and eating it. Between the Oil being sold to Canadians and the oil sold on the open market, the oil companies are plundering Canada of 722 millions dollars every day. 3/4 of Billion dollars Everyday is being funneled into some oil companies pocket every day. Bear in mind This does not include the retail/refining markup on this oil. If there is gas tax revenues it would come on the retail end. If you people think really hard about it, Canada is forking out 722 million in dead money each day, before refining/retail end is injected into this figure. According to an article I previously sited they stated it is costing Alberta $20 to extract oil from the oil sands. Oil extracted from oil platforms would certainly be way less. Canada's oil pumping of 3 million * 20 = 60 Million dollars of cost to extrac. The oil companies are raping Canada of $360 million dollars every day in profits!!!!!!!!!! from Canada's oil. Canada's corporate taxes are low, and harper wants to lower them more, so how is Canada benefiting from the raping of Canada. To add insult to this, Canadians are paying world oil prices for its oil consumption at a cost of $322 million. Canada is transfering 682 million dollars of its wealth into the hands of oil companies everyday!!!!!! Now if Canada were to get its hands on its oil at $45 a barrel as I stated earlier Canada would be keeping its money in Canada and paying 103.5 million for the same oil. Canada would be preserving 1/2 Billion dollars of its wealth!!!!! keeping that money within Canada to be spent. What exactly is the oil companies giving Canada that we need to part with 1/2 billion dollars of our wealth every day?? The United States treats Canada like garbage. Canada is hollowed out by Foreign owned companies that toss people out of work the second profits soften to protect their bottom line. Canada needs to stop transfering its wealth to oil companies and look after itself first. Those on this thread that are happy paying world oil prices because they like the tax revenue on the retail side is false logic. If you cost Canada's economy 1/2 billion in dead money to jack up retail gas prices to collect what amount of gas tax, Logic states you would need to deduct 1/2 billion from this Gas tax Figure to arrive at the net Gas tax benefit to Canada. Someone is living the life at Canada's expense. If you honestly believe Canadians are benefiting show how. I am sure that $20 a barrel cost incorporates all the royalties being paid to alberta already. So really alberta is oblivious to the 1/2 Billion dollars being stripped from Canada each and every day. Whether Canadians get oil for $45 dollars a barrel or $140 dollars would not affect Alberta one bit.
-
The only ones who are benefiting from world oil prices is the oil companies and those in government. Canadians in general are not benefiting from this oil. High oil prices only hurt domestic industry. Stupid is what stupid does. Canada and the US import items from china, china in turn uses this money to drive up gas prices. It's a false economy. You think you are saving money by buying goods from China but you are actually paying for these goods at the pumps and through lost jobs. Canada has the power to stabalize oil prices for Canada. It is within Canada's right to do so.

http://www.energyandcapital.com/articles/c...-production/647 Wow if it is only Costing Alberta $20 a barrel to extract the oil from the oil sands they are really sticking it to Canada.

Once again dumcer posts with nothing to contribute. If Canadien wants to revise history without taking in the religious implications of his propoganda, his revisions would not be accurate. He tries to rally support projecting the aboriginals own's the words expressed by Cartier. That is flat out ridiculous. It's unfortunate we have modern day aboriginal's heads being filled with nonsense of entitlement. To further this we have panderers who want to project on Canada what their sense of what is right and wrong without taking in the historical/religious implications. The bible has some good stuff when it comes to wiping the land of people so the chosen can possess it. Considering Christian history is filled with these kinds of crusades, we have reality mirroring the bible. It is quite obvious, Canadien has an aboriginal bias. This is because he is one or he is simply a history revisionist. He needs to accept the facts. At least the French worked with the Indians and not wiped them out. On that, I said the aboriginals ought to be happy. -

you are going to cry because this God would have wiped the earth with your ass and blot you out from existence as if you were yesterday's garbage. If your faith and works in christ is strong I am sure you will be remembered in the book of life. That's the god conundrum. God is actually relevant when you are going to use modern day aboriginal sympathy to bastardize historical acts when those in the drama were greatly influenced by the religious forces of the day. In cartier's case: Chritianity. Admit to this forum that you believe the torah/bible to be a work of fiction. If you won't, I suggest you digest numbers 21:35 So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land. Genocide right? -

Give this forum a break. The aboriginals had their own language. Cartier had his language. To bridge the worlds he used his language skills and soul/mind to bring parallels between the two. All you are doing is quoting a French phrase "Ils appellent une ville Canada." I see no aboriginal words or symbols. All I see is cartier using his soul/mind to interpret/understand the aboriginals language with the French language. You have failed to produce words from the aboriginal language to support your assertions. The fact is, The aboriginals are lucky it was the French and not the spanish who settled Canada. If it were, I doubt they would be around to whine about their existence. Do you think God would have held it against the French or Spanish if they wiped out the aboriginals. Maybe, but I doubt it. If you are aboriginal, be happy you are around, and be happy with what you have. It is obvious you got off lucky. If you want to be history a revisionist and religion revisionist at your expense, keep going. At canada's root is Chritiandom, like it or not. -

Cartier being of Christiandom and the Torah/Bible program outlined God scattered man to all corners of the earth. (That what it says, true or not, I do not know) God confounded the language of men so they would have different languages. Cartier operated off of his own soul and the language of France. Cartier was not a mind reader. He was required to use his mind/soul to interpret and create an understanding of the Aboriginals. Sorry pal, but that was the program of the day. I know you want to rewrite history and religion for your own ends but until you come out with supporting documents equal to those of the courts of France in the 1600's, The documents of George Washington acrchived on line at the library of Congress, and the Torah/Bible/Koran you will have little succes in swaying the minds of those who in a 1000 years into the future will logically evaluate Religion and historical events to draw acute conclusions. The torah/bible/koran can be viewed as a branch on huge tree we call life. There are other branches on this tree, Hindu, budism, No religions, Science, etc which one you gravitate towards is your choice. That is our modern culture. However, that is not or was the programing of Cartier and those of original European settlers. It is your choice to jump branches and believe what you want, but understand you are either with God or you are of the other Branches. If you are of the other Branches, This how God will look upon you, Numbers 21:31 31 Thus Isreal dwelt in the land of the Amorites 32 And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there 33 And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle of Edei. 34 And the Lord said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do ot him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 35 So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land. Fact is, when God scattered man, man became dispensible. You are of no value to God. For what the spanish did to the aboriginals of South America in the name of Christianity attest to this way of thinking. So choose your branch. -

Why sidestep? Your answer here reveals you to believe the torah/bible to be a work of fiction. That is fine. It is your perogative. If that is the case you can certainly have your opinions on language. However, once again I will remind you Cartier was a subject of a king who ruled France by divine right. The people of Europe beleived, in following their king, they were following the will and serving God in serving their country. Canada was born of this thought. With the existence of a christian Queen within Canada's constitution, Canada is still beholden to this thought. Fact is, Modern Canada works as a limited democracy, and is independent of Britain because of a weak British Monarchy. You can thank WWII for the weakening of the British Monarchy. With this weakening, the people of Canada were no longer subjects but became citizens. The English majority of Canada saw this as opportunity to f' with Quebec and did what it could to continue its hostilities towards Quebec. Although Quebec has not acheived sovereignty, it has tightened its defenses to insulate itself from the attacks of English Canada. These attacks continue here with the British history revisionists. -

Whose alphabet did cartier use in constructing this word? Who did this alphabet belong to? What did the Christian Cartier have in common with the Aboriginals? The aboriginals do not have the same belief system. Genesis 11:5 5. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6. And the Lord said, behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. There you have it bud, ["they may not understand one another's speech"] Whose language were the aboriginals speaking? Whose language was Cartier speaking? Cartier took in the words using his language skills and brought about the word Canada. He used his soul/mind to interpret what he heard and wrote it in his book. So what!!! Attack Cartier for your propoganda. You call George Washington a liar, you called Cartier a liar, now are you going to call "God"/moses a liar? Or are you going to confess you believe the Torah/Bible to be a work of fiction (It may very well be )and reveal to this Forum that you are nothing but a trolling aboriginal with an axe to grind. -

Me huh? From one who's mouth is a funnel of propoganda. Calling Cartier a liar? Not surprising being that you called George Washington a liar earlier in this thread. I am sure you are also one of those who propogate the holocaust and Hitler did no wrong either. What's your name hunaku or something or other? Why don't you admit to the forum you are an aboriginal with an axe to grind. -

Isn't freedom of speach grand? Say what you want, think you what you. I would love to continue talking in circles but I have made my points clear enough with supporting documentation. What I get is disent from the devil's friends. Fact is, Canada is creation of France. The Canadians fell under occupation in 1759. The Canadians fought with the United States for American Independence. Since that date Canada and the Canadians have been the subject of incessant brain washing by the occupiers and parasites. Canada celebrates 400 years this year, that is a fact. -

You are not catholic, you are insubordinate heathen Forum Troll. May I remind you the Queen of England is the head of state in Canada, a christian Queen. As is it, Canada is/has a religious undertone to it. If you are christian/catholic I suggest you bear in mind the Father/son/holy spirit. On that note I suggest you pick up a copy of the Father's book and read Genesis, leviticus, etc, etc, to get an idea what the f'ck you are up against you stupid little piss ant twerp. So when the curtain of life is closed upon your poor excuse of of a lying life you will know that God does not take kindly to f'ing liars. As for Canada, show me your aboriginal alphabet and written documentation of Canada and Canadian. What we do have is pre-british occupation records of the use of Canada by the kings Court of France and George Washington's diaries refering to the French of Canada as Canadian. What do you have? your propoganda opinions. -

You are an idiot. There is song sung at Birthdays, you may have heard it, it goes something like Happy Birthday to ... Happy Birthday to .... etc etc. This song first appeared in a book in the 30's. A company bought the rights to this book. Now, everytime a company uses this song in a commercial capacity such as a movie they have to pay a royalty of something like $10,000 to the owner of this book. Comprehend that reality, moron? Under copyright laws the word belongs to Cartier. Under Devine/Cosmic/God's law the word is a creation of Cartier's soul using pronunciation and spelling skills taught to him by his mother Country: France. To a heathen mind such as yourself you will have difficulty comprehending Religious Forces. I bring in Religion because that goes to mind of jacque Cartier acting on behalf of the king of France. A king who ruled by divine right by the decree of the vatican/pope. That was Europe before the rise of the United States. You are certainly some form of Troll to say the least. -

When you bring forward an aboriginal alphabet let me know and we will then attribute a word to them. I see french words but I don't see any aboriginal words. You, yourself stated the aboriginals had no alphabet, so how is it possible they have words upon which cartier could make notes about. The best he could do was use his interpretation of what he heard with his French pronunciation and spelling skills (taught to him by France!). The word you are talking about is kanata, not Canada. Why are you quoting a French source. If you are going to be a British Revisionist you better find more sources to back up your delusions. -

You are so funny, calling me a troll just because you don't agree with regulations to stabalize the price of oil to Canada. Most homes can be hooked up to natural gas. How did that happen? I am sure in your mind, magic. smoke another one. All I am saying is follow what was done in creating the natural gas pipeline, construct oil pipeline across Canada to serve refineries that will deal with Canada's petroleum demands. What a concept! become independent of US influence on our oil and gas prices. Whether Canada gets oil for $45 or $100 it requires the infrastructure to process its own oil. Shipping oil to the United States for refining and then having this same oil refined and shipped back to Canada in gasoline makes no sense. Canada needs to take a leadership role and develop its energy infrastructure.
