Their quo is to their pay cheque and the employer who brought them to Canada thanks to the Conservatives. Thanks to the conservatives, the Canadians of old are all unemployed and on the road to welfare. But that's ok as long as the skilled newcomers live the red carpet life rolled out to them by the conservatives.

The Funny thing about those stimulus cheques issued by bush was that they were added to the US national debt. It did nothing but contribute to the hole the US keeps digging itself with its national debt. The sub prime was an elaborate fraud orchestrated by the Real Estate Companies, Mortgage brokers, and investment houses. What has been done in the US has been done in Canada as well. The only difference to the US is they went for the dive first. Canada's turn is just around the corner. If people believe all those resource based companies are going to prop up the GDP to sustain Canada through this questionable period they are in for a shock. It amazes me how the media champions and boasts the gains of these resource companies. However, who's really benefiting from these resource companies?? Canada in general? Not really. The fact is, Canada is an effed up Country. It never used to be. In the early eighties, Canada was indeed the best country. My observation of job postings is there are companies who fish postings similar to email spam. These employers are fishing for skills because they are an upstart company with no knowledge of what they are trying to get done or they are trying to save money by not contracting a business which specializes in that area. Once Again, WHERE'S THE INCOME GENERATION EINSTEIN???? What does Canada do better than anyone else in the World?? What does Canada do to justifies the cultural immolation inflicted upon it by the Boomer generation? I see how Canada has added up since the signing of the 1982 constitution. The conservatives are the current government and the conservatives are the one who wants to pander to employers and allow them to bypass Canada's job seekers to recruit abroad. The conservatives are the ones who want to allow these recruited employees to remain in Canada as a permanent residence once here. If the conservative immigration policy is to only bring in the most skilled and in depriving Canadian job seekers the opportunity to be trained for these so called positions they can f' themselves. It doesn't take a genious to see the unique spot Canada was in the early nineties after mulroney left office. He ballooned the National Debt and left Canada with a 40 Billion dollar deficit. The Canadian Dollar was trading at 60 cents, we had a free trade agreement with the US. Any shrewd businessman would recognize the cost savings of Manufacturing in Ontario over the United States. As such, Ontario Manufacturers enjoyed an advantage in Manufacturing and in turn became a net exporter to the United States. Because of the dollar parity, this advantage no longer exists and now these manufactures are suffering. As the dollar was rising these manufacturers exploited immigrants and displaced Canadian workers to capitalize on their greed. The days of the well paid manufacturing job is few and far between and this is because these manufactures are able to use immigrants to keep wages low. All Canada has going for it is it resources and the Conservatives Can't wait to give those away for free or for the benefit of others. Not only are the conservative giving away Canada's oil, they are giving away Canada's employment opportunities and giving these people citizenship. If that's is the Canada charted out by the Conservatives I believe it is time to appeal to a higher power to trump the conservatives hate of Canada and those of Canada. That higher power is the Queen's office. Her office should be petitioned to repeal the statue of Westminister and put Canada back under the legislative Control of the UK. Once Canada is back under the Control of the UK, Canadians will be elgible for a Euro passport. Canadians will have the choice of staying in an immolation type environment or moving on to look for better work and living conditions in Europe. Oppositely, those of Europe could also choose to come to Canada to live and work. If the Queen were to repeal the Statue of Westminister, Quebecs move for sovereignty would also be a moot point. This is because those of Quebec will have access to France and vice versa. Happiness all way round!

So the run up in Real Estate prices over the last 20 years is something of my imagination? The average cost of home in a Canada is over 300k. What kind of monthly payment does that require? What about the taxes and utilities on that? What makes a home bought today different from those bought back in the sixties or seventies? You have a home, you pay to keep it, etc, etc. Instead what you have is the gready who have exploited this area and driven up the price. For a young couple in their early twenties who have not been corrupted by the boomer trash and other trash will realize their best opportunity to own a home will be if they inherit money rather than finding stable progressively rewarding employment. The reality is, Canada does not have that mindset. What we have are those who are keen on driving up all living costs while at the same time driving down incomes. This is accomplished by Controlling the supply. Whether this is Oil, Housing, etc, etc. To drive up demand for this Controlled supply, the gready support lax immigration policies because the gready are about themselves and their money. Canada, apart from Quebec (they have a daycare program) is not family friendly. To get a sense of how family unfriendly Canada is, listen to your local media on the level of families looking for food and clothing from the various organizations. This situation is progressively getting worse. I wonder who's economy you are trying to sustain? The average Canadian who wants just enjoy life by doing what their parents and grandparents did? My grandpa had a regular factory job. He bought a house, had a cottage way up north. My grandmother didn't work. They had a really nice house and the cottage was excellent. Somehow he was able to afford a home, a cottage, a grandmother who didn't work, and the money to afford the gas to get to the cottage. Nowadays with the employment prospects you will be hard pressed to afford a car and put gas in it, nevermind haveing the income to buy a home and cottage. You are trying to make it sound like todays people are living a more elaborate lifestyle which is actually further from the truth. Yes, it is true, the gready are living large. I have lived in the the GTA for more than 20 years. I know the mosaic of cultures in and surrounding Toronto. I also know that these same immigrants whine and cry how they were engineers and doctors in the countries they came from but are now driving taxi cabs. I know the conservative policy all to well. Their policy is to allow employers to advertise employment opportunities outside of Canada in turn bypassing job seekers in Canada. These employers claim they can't find the skillset they are looking for although they may in fact have likely had able applicants from within Canada. The reality is, these employers are either upstarts with no knowledge of the business they are pursueing or they are trying to bypass businesses who specialize in the work they are trying to get done. These employers are more about saving money and the politicians/Conservatives who pander to these employers shows who they are really looking out for. You want to come to Canada as a Canadian Citizen, you go through the same channels as every other Country. You apply and if the government is interested they will get back to you. If you want to come to Canada on a work visa that company should be required to show what they have done to have a Canadian do the work. Under the conservatives that is not the case. The conservatives allow employers to claim they can't find the person in Canada and allow them to recruit outside. Now the Conservative want to bypass the immigration department and grant these same people citizenship. Other than getting work done for the employer, how has this process benefitted Canadians? What this process enables is the bypassing of Canadians for employment opportunites and businesses specializing in that area of expertise.

Having kids is actually economics. The gready have inflated housing and other costs so much there is little left to have kids. If you do have kids, the logistics of daycare and other aspects are required to looked after kids properely. Where is this money going to come from? Traditionally, a family could get by with the father only working. That is no longer the case. To sustain the same lifestyle as your parents/grandparents requires two people working. Even then, nowadays that still not enough. Given this dynamic, how can Canadian's have kids when they are being f'ed over by the gready and the exploitive. There is no magic or mystery in having kids. It's biological fact of nature. What is magic about kids, is transitioning them to accomplishment and innovation. An aspect which was lost on the Boomer trash. Really?? Diane Finley is a conservative and look at her lax policy on permanent residency which really is as good as citizenship. The conservative government's current policy on work permits and immigration shows them to be the immigrant party, not the liberals. Any party who looks outside to build a Country, rather than solve the problems within to move Canada forward is unfit to continue in governing. It should be no mystery why Canada's city housing prices are pushed up. Immigrant families will pool their money to a own a home and the family will live that way until the kids find their own way. Euro Trash descendent families throw out their kids as quick as possible. Canada's political aholes have dumped multi-religious immigrants and those who speak little or no English onto to the people. This is certainly a contributing factor to mental illness suffered by many. These immigrants are a source of cheap exploitive labour at first, but they wise up sooner or later. Why, because it was hell of alot more than wherever they came from. These immigrants are living a lifestyle at the generation X's and y's expense. This has come about because of the decrepit values of the Baby Boomer Generation who have put themselves first and to hell with those who have to deal with the fall out of what they have done to Canada since 1980. The only solace will be if these F's die fast and early to save on Canada pension payouts. It is obvious Canada is on the road of immolation. Is Canada to far down that road? NO!! Why because Canada's sovereign is the Monarch of Britain. Being the sovereign, she holds the power to redress what has been done to Canada since her signing of the 1982 Constitution. She and UK parliament holds the power to repeal the Statue of Westminister and place Canada back under the legislative authority of the British Parliament. After doing so, Canadians will have access to Europe for work or other purposes. The younger generation Canadians should not be held hostage to the corrupt values of the older generations who will sell them out for their own gain. To make this an issue. Send a letter to petition the Queen's office of what is being done by these politicians and outline what the Queen's office can do lighten to the yoke of those of Canada descent. It is quite obvious Canada's politicians need supervison. They do not act in the Interest of Canada or Canadians for that matter. Their actions since 1982 attests to that fact.

The reality is The people of Canada have never had a say in the broad strokes of those who make decisons on Canada's behalf. For that reason, the British Monarchy should reopen the Statue of Westminister and Repeal it so Canada falls under the Control of the UK parliament. Because the UK is apart of the EU, Canada would subsequently become apart of the EU through its affiliation with Britain. All Canadians would then be eligible for an EU passport enabling them to relocate and seek employment anywhere in Europe. If Canada wants to water down its population with slack immigration rules they should put it to a referendum and get a mandate from the people. Not immol Canada into a cultural disfunction.

US Government is set to target the profits of Oil Companies with increased taxes! I can remember before free trade there use to be a manufacturing tax of 13%. It's time to do the same on Oil companies. If that's the case $140 * .13 = $18.20. $18.20 *3 million = 54.6 million dollars a day Canada is losing in lost taxes. Over a year 365 *54.6 million = 19 929 000 000. Canada is losing $20 Billion dollars in lost taxes!!! Canada's oil production is expected to increase to 5 million barrels. Taxes on 5 million barrels at $140 oil = $33.215 Billion. Stop pandering to OIL Companies and Quit allowing the OIL Companies to steal Canada's oil without Canada gettting its due. Canada's National Debt is about $480 Billion. If This money was steered towards eliminating this National debt, Canada would be debt free within 20 years. Interestly, though, Canada never had a national debt before 1970.

Who uses gold? Not me, I doubt you do either. Gold is luxury, oil is a necissity. I do, $45 per barrel. It costs the oil company $20 per barrel to extract. That's 100% return, that in itself is a high rate of return. $140 - $200 is downright stealing from Canada. Duh, the premise of this thread is to enact the same law as the United States. A law requiring all oil produced in Canada be made available to Canada for use. Nafta is ok with the US having this law, so it has to be ok with Canada having the same law.

They claim current gas prices don't reflect current oil prices. They are to low. They claimed they are not the ones making all the money from the high cost of oil, the produces are. Yeah, that's right, the greedy alberta oil companies selling Canadians their oil and the refiners crying poor because they have no control over world oil prices. Because Canada produces more oil than it uses, there is no need for Canadians to be held hostage by world oil prices. They have a vote and they can elect politicians that will not pander to the United States or Oil companies.

If you listen to the media, the refiners are claiming they are losing money because they have to much refined gas. Really?, then lower prices to get rid of it! The refiners claim they are at the mercy of world oil prices and we need to feel sorry for them and accept the price at the pump. The reality is, they influence world oil prices. If the refiners honestly believe speculators are screwing with their input costs, what is stopping refiners from stock piling oil to be refined whenever. The oil sat underground for 1000's of years, what's a few more years sitting above ground in storage tanks. There is no business in the world that doesn't look for ways to cut input costs. For a refiner to accept world oil prices without looking for ways to drive this cost down shows they are disengineous.

If its costing 20 per barrel to extract the oil from Canada and the oil companies are selling this oil at world oil prices they are making $100 per barrel. Canada producing 3 million barrels per day. Canada is using 2.3 million barrels per day. Canada's Economy is bleeding 184 million dollars per day to the oil compannies and speculators. A Billion dollars a week in dead money is being taken from Canada. After the refiner's get the oil, they inflate the gas prices at the pumps to cover world oil prices. Canadians in turn pay high gas taxes on which incorporates this 1 billion dollars in dead money. Canadians are not only getting this 1 Billion dollars stolen from them each week, they are paying inflated Gas taxes on this money as well. The oil companies have already recovered their invested money. All they are doing is exploited Canada for all its worth. What retaliation? Canada is resource rich country. Canada has the tools to be self sufficient. In case you haven't heard the economies are tanking. Employers are unwilling to pay the costs of vehicle ownership/fuel/insurance and because of this they are closing up shop in Canada and moving out. Canada has been hallowed out, there is no allegiance to Canada. The only allegiance is the exploitation of Canada for their own gain. It's obvious you don't mind selling out Canada for your own gain. Your answer is strange. Unless you are the oil company, how are you benefiting from world oil prices? If you are refering to your employment and royalty rebate checks this money has already been factored into the $20 per barrel price. Any money above this is going into the oil companies or speculators pocket and is siphoning Canada's hard earned GDP with it. Your logic makes as much sense as when the Federal Government rakes in a Federal Surplus at the end year and keeps the money for itself is somehow a benefit to Canadians in General. However, the truth is, Canadians in General do not benefit from Canada's surpluses. All it demonstrates they are being overtaxed and denied/deprived infrastructure investments.
