Are you for real buddy? Have you ever heard of the fiscal Imbalance? That is where you send more tax dollars to the Federal Government than the province gets back! Quebec like Ontario sends more tax money (GST, Income taxes, Gas Taxes, etc, etc). If Quebec gets money back from the Feds it's only getting its own money back. Ontario sends 22 Billion more than it receives back from the the Federal Government. Some economists were floating the idea that each province should keeps its own GST collected and reinvested in that province. I think that's a grand idea. Quebec's population is about 8 million. Not as much as Ontario 12 million but that would be alot of GST to be alot of GST to be reinvested back into the provinces. Of course the jerkoff welfare provinces would gripe about that.

Second, The 1982 Constitution has a Nothwithstanding Clause and the Queen passed a proclamation declaring and fixing the borders of each province to what they are. Provincial Boundaries Cannot be changed. Third, Quebec has a population of 8 million, that's 25% of Canada's population. Technically, Quebec should then have minimum of 75 - 90 seats. Of those seats whoever the people of Quebec like the most in each of those ridings will win those seats. Democracies elect people not parties.

First of All, Canada is supose to be a democracy not a communist Country. Proportional Representation is a form of Communism. We vote in people to represent us, we don't vote in parties . Technically, the Canadian Constitution makes no mention of the Prime Minister. The PM through convention is derived from the party who gets the most seats. The party with the second most seats gets the official oppostion status. That is our system. Those who advocate proportional representation have the mindset the majority of people should dictate to the minority. The mentality would be because the GTA has the most population they would dictate laws and programs to the rest of Ontario. Well, that system can be shoved up ur azzez. Besides, to change the voting structure would in my view would require an Amendment to the Constitution. The 1982 Constitution has the amending formula. Good luck meeting that formula. You can be sure if an elected party tries to mess with the electoral system without meeting this formula its legitamacy will be brought befor for the Supreme Court, and like any law that parliament passes can and will be tossed out by the Supreme Court Canada's electoral system is fine the way it is.

Is it me, or is there something wrong with a political structure that enables a minority conservative government to unilaterally give away 25 billion dollars of taxpayer money to banks and for what? Because they did not exercise prudence and integrity in their lending practices. They lent money to those who shouldn't have got it in the first place and now taxpayers are suppose to foot the bill. Let's put the figure into perspective. The US is ten times the size, so this bailout would equate to a 250 Billion dollar bailout. In order for their 750 Billion dollar bailout to pass it had to first go through the Senate, then voted on. It then had to go through Congress, then voted on. Once through the house it had to get the President Signature. This 25 Billion / 34 million equates to $735 dollars per person in Canada!!! Economics is not rocket science. Governments require taxes from Incomes and taxes on purchasing and property. The middleman is the jerkoff corporation/business. If governments slipp into recession or deficit it is because corporations/businesses have gotten over greedy and exploitative in their practices. In their drive to pursue profits they pursue reduction of costs including wages. This pursuit and government is contrary to government income. The less an employee makes the less Income taxes they pay and the less taxes they pay on purchasing because they don't buy as much. In times of Economic strain, Business taxes have to go up to compensate for what these greedy business/corporations have done to the economy. You don't reward these pricks with lower taxes.

Ok, What does this have to do with the Conservatives Giving away what little in the way of Full Time Employment opportunites there are to foreigners on Work Permits? The Conservatives have enabled Employers to bypass Canadian Job Seekers to fill Employment openings at their company. Often these employers only have to quickly advertise a position then immediately claim they can't find the skillset within Canada and then they are able to recruit abroad. Once these newly recruited workers are here in Canada the Conservatives have rolled out the red Carpet to granting these individuals permanent resident status which enables them to have a vote on who is elected to government. The Conservatives are crapping on Canadians and those immigrants who came to Canada through legitimate channels. Canada's unemployment is 6%. 6% of 34 million is 2 million people looking for work. Canada created 100 hundred thousand jobs in September (mostly partime dishwasher/restraunt jobs - if you can call those jobs). That leaves 1.9 million people still looking for work. So Why are the conservative giving away Canadian opportunities to Foreigners? Not only are the Conservatives Giving away Canadian jobs they are now giving 25 Billion dollars to the Banks to buyup all their subprime mortgages. These are mortgages made to immigrants and those with iffy credit who will default on their mortgage should they lose their job. So not only are the Conservative Giving away your jobs they are giving away your hard payed tax dollars to these so called economic migrants.
