Was the Level 1 job action in contradiction with established duties in the contract? Those duties are not contracted in ON. If they weren't in the contract how was pay docking legal? I'm not saying its good which leads us to..... Not a direct belittling. My point was the richer families can bridge the loss of school extras with their private sports, tutors, and helicopter moms......poor kids are really the only ones who suffer.....which is why those job actions do nothing as politicians only care about the richer family votes anyway. They, like you applaud the pay cut and let things drag too long.

I take it afterschool help, coaching and monitoring are defined duties in the contract in order to dock pay for inactivity.Lack of these duties for a prolonged period really only hurts the poor kids, and who cares about them right...the middle+ class, have their soccer moms to take care of that stuff for l'il Xavier and Porsche.

Exactly. You have rote learning teachers, teaching a language they never learned. Just like in high school when you had the gym teacher fill in for French......mon dieu.The main hole to plug is the context/explanation to jump from theory to efficiency. Teachers expect kids to figure that out on their own....its a difficult bridge and kids fall behind because they are trying to apply discovery methods on a test. They weren't given time to move to efficiency in class, and if its not driven at home.......you get a kid who understands concepts but can't apply the quickly; smart kids dropping to the bottom.....if not out.

I don't consider it part of their job as an MP. Maybe a candidate. I'm not paying them to be a candidate, booster, or campaign shill. I think you're the one to think about job functions more than I if you think they are excuses.
